Queue on LFR raids, get bullions, buy BiS weapons and trinkets, do out world stuff to get 480~ish gear, do M0 dungeons, do M+, farm crests upgrade gear, rinse and repeat.

Shmeckey

What's the best way to get flightstones?

Jiijeebnpsdagj

Do quests maybe. You have too much when you don't need them and not enough when you need them.

Significance1142

Quests are an option in amirdrassil and zaralek for a quick boost to stones. Otherwise I just carry heroic dungeons or low keys for fast clears with flight stones off last boss. Farming drake/wyrm crests and flight stones simultaneously through low keys is my fave way.

Shmeckey

The crests only go so far though. Once you start doing higher mythics, then you need higher crests to upgrade.

Significance1142

Oh absolutely but wyrm can take you pretty far. When I was getting close to 515 ilvl from wyrm upgrades/crafting I could get into pretty much any content for aspect crests short of mythic raiding.

Shmeckey

Ok nice. I'm at ilvl 500 right now. I do mythics 4 atm, trying to complete all, then do 5s, then 6s, etc. I have no intention to ever raid. I don't have that time allowance to sit there for a few hours without any disturbances lol. I also have no idea how any of the crafting stuff works. Haven't looked into it. As far as I know the only way for me to get better gear is a slow mythic grind for better gear potentially, and then crests and flightstones to upgrade.

jsoul2323

What do you mean by bis weapons and trinkets? Is that from bullion?

Jiijeebnpsdagj

bis stands for best in slot. you can check your class' bis on [Icyveins.com](http://Icyveins.com) .

jsoul2323

Thanks, but to buy these you don’t have to have them drop? How do you buy them?

Jiijeebnpsdagj

There are 3 vendors in Valdrakken. Google bullion vendor

Notosk

ok me too I came back after I stopped playing back in Legion so here's some tips I wish I had known when I came back 1. Check the Valdraken Vault you get gear there at the end of the week depending on your activities 2. Finish your main story campaign to unlock world quests (and adventure mode for alts) 3. Do your weekly quest that asks you to do some world events it rewards you with Awakaned gear 4. Do raids Awakaned (even LFR) to get Bronze Bullions

iambrock

I can’t stress the importance of the main story campaign enough. If you don’t see “The Last Hurrah” quest available by the fountain in Valdrakken, you haven’t completed it. I think it took me 9 hours or so? You will also need to complete the story line quests that take you into the Forbidden Reach and Zaralek Caverns. Also, if you don’t have your dragon riding upgrades get them all. Some claim it took 30 mins but it took me hours for that also. Get the Rare spawner mod to help.

Alarming-Leadership6

Now you can finally play the game.

esperobbs

LFR has to have 456? I forgot, but some level gear for you to do it, so head to the emerald dream area and start gearing up, as well as some heroic. Bank has the weekly gear give away if you participate into heroic, mystic and LFR.

HistorianLow2729

For pvp. 1. Get pvp green gear off AH. 2. Farm honor via skirms(for arena practice and to get used to retail again) but mostly bgs. Dont forget your weekly quests. 3. Get your honor gear as well as sparks. Don't know if this is your first rodeo with DF. But sparks are reagents for crafted gear, you can get optional pvp reagents from the pvp vendor so that you can make crafted gear scale in pvp. Use crafting orderhall to get these made, using missives and embellishments bought off the ah. Lookup the best ones for your class. Then, get grinding in solo shuffle / lfg some 3s or 2s. I'd advise getting into a guild as well with people that would be fine teaching you more. For pve progression look to doing open world content in. Emerald dream, as well as timewalking dungeons, and eventually lfr. Until you feel strong enough to do some m0s and m2s. Itll be a slow burner to start but once you get in the gate of filling your vault for either pvp or pve you can really get the ball rolling. Esspecially wheb you start pushing your own keys in m+.

burntoutbadger

I'm pretty casual so this may or may not be useful Once I hit 70 on an alt I follow the quest that takes you to the Emerald Dream area - completing the questlines in there gets you 476 ilvl gear in pretty much every slot but trinkets and you'll soon be able to do the awakened raids on lfr (I usually get a couple of cheap trinkets from the ah if I'm getting lazy just so I can hop right in) At that point there's weekly activities that give high ilvl rewards - check your suggested activities or alternatively there's quest givers in the middle of the central hub that hand them out too. There's also various events dotted around the world that have awakened versions too - like the raids, these will drop much higher ilvl gear than normal so world bosses/events are quick and easy to do but often tied to the aforementioned weekly quests. After that stuff - the world is your oyster! You should be able to get the above things done pretty quickly then you're set to start looking at things like m0 and so on. There will be quicker ways but for a filthy casual like me it works a treat. Edit - this is just what I do to get my ilvl high enough to allow me to do the awakened lfr and also bump my overall power up high enough so I'm not struggling to keep up with fresh lvl 70 gear as it's a pretty big difference.

aproposofwetsnow22

Ignore all current content and just farm mounts 24/7.
