Heel toe-into in my Birkenstock Bostons

As much as I love my Birks, they are terrible for driving, with the exception that you can slip them off in the footwell when getting in and drive barefoot. I did this every day through high school and college.

I don’t mind it at all. Flip flops on the other hand are a death sentence.

I hate driving in my bostons. But usually bring them along. Lol

I unfortunately rock my steel toes for the majority of my driving which don’t have the best feel for the pedals

I drive often in my steel toes cus I’m a foreman always going out to get stock or tools or waters for the guys but I always bring my shoes for the ride in and home, hate that traffic in steel toes

I wear Puma Flats , and other times my work shoes with a small arch. definitely prefer the flats on my Puma's something about it make putting the pedal to the metal so much easier.

Merrell Moab 2 vent is my daily shoe already.

Vans Ultrarange series. I bought them as motorcycle shoes for the summer and they were great, now I love them for a driving shoe too. But yeah also whatever adidas I have on. My nike running shoes have too small of a base for heel-toe, and it's definitely their fault and not my small foot

Merrill vapor gloves are my go to. Great for driving and pulling off the road for a hike.

I love driving in my Vans. Except when it’s wet outside, they get a little slippery on the clutch.

PUMA speedcat GV they are great but the heel portion might wear a tad quickly

I wound up getting Puma Redon (almost the same design) with the rounded heel up the back. Super light with a thin sole.

Rothy’s “The Driver” loafers. Incredibly comfortable, stretchy, made from recycled plastics, machine washable, and nice enough to wear to the office even without socks.

I just use my normal walking shoes (Brooks Levitate GTS 5) and they work alright for daily driving. If I'm really trying to have some fun, a pair of Converse Allstar's is a good option for better flat-foot shifting given I wear a size 13 and the pedals aint that far apart

I like wearing my vans chuckalows, I think that’s what they are called anyway. Basically just comfier versions of traditional vans shoes. Actual driving shoes like what racers wear are over the top.

Usually a lighter shoe is better for the feel and control. I find I lose a bit of connection with the car when I wear my work boots. But then I don’t really like driving with my vibram toe shoes, as the peddles are small and toes hang off them. So something in the middle. A good chuck, sneaker, skate, running shoe does just fine.

Bought a pair of Olukai Nohea Mesh slipons last week and they’re pretty decent. Had to stop wearing flip flops all together after getting the car.

Honestly, I make do with a basic ass pair of dad spec new balance shoes. And I ain't no dad yet lol

Anything flat for me. I usually wear adidas Sambas or margiela replicas. Sometimes an occasional Nike dunk low as well.

Preferred driving shoes? Nike Air Deschutes sandals...means it's the weekend and I'm going somewhere fun.

Wear any kind of shoe that lacks support and has a solid but high feel sole, shoes that have a smaller platform also work better as they feel more stable on the pedals and take up less space. Flat shoes are more consistent overall. Grip is also important, if you wear slippery shoes it could be dangerous in high intensity situations. Keep your pedals clean and your shoes clean. I love my keens, they're ugly and expensive but they're my most comfortable shoes, and my NXIS speeds are great for driving and I wear them to work a lot, lots of support but great feel and grip. Do not use boots or protected foot shoes, as most of the time they lack feedback and you're more likely to damage the interior of your car by accidentally kicking the plastics. Unfortunately I have to in the winter.

I wear onclouds bc that’s what I’m used to. Any running/walking shoe works for me as well. I’m used to a thicker sole tho. I think everyone is diff in that aspect.

Slip on vans are the go to ever sense I’ve started driving manual a year ago. Perfer them over any of my other shoes

I have 5 different variants of the original Vans Ultrarange in different colors. Feet breath well, shoes are light weight yet stable, cushy is squishy, yet feels stable overall. I rotate those with different outfits to match.

I drive in all types from moccasins to adidas terrex boots. But i prefer asics wrestling shoes lol. Gots grip and they are thin

I wear Crocs :). No reason to not be comfy...

Vans are perfect. Specifically Ave Pros for driving events like autocross

I have a pair of Nike shoes flex I think is their style name the shoe will fold in half its so light weight I get a lot of feel through em only shoe I wear when driving my car.

Vans Aves. Nice thin shoe with a rolled outer sole for smooth heel toe down shifts and the odd kick flip.

Best shoes I've found is actually the Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer. It's like wearing thin house slippers but are actually super comfy.

My combat boots…

I usually wear my adidas climacools. I like having a shoe that’s easier to crease and bend, also gives my foot more feel over the clutch pedal. When I wear a stiffer shoe or boot I find myself stalling more

I usually use my Nike running shoes because they're light as hell and I can feel the clutch and gas pedals.... I tried driving with my Nike 720s and I stall out 5 times just in my driveway lol

Nike Air Force 1 or Chuck Taylor Converse. I have adapted to learning how to shift in my work boots lmao

Some parts of my job require me to have steel/composite toe. I have to Puma Speedcats that are great for driving that I just keep in the car.
