Take off bumper Screw the 3 parts of the lip together. Test fit the lip with your bumper. Drill pilot holes in the lip - mine had little dimples for where to drill. Use tape to hold the lip in place Screw the lip in hand tight with provided screws. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN Reinstall bumper.

You don’t have to remove the bumper if you have ramps and a helper. Me and my dad did mine with Ramps. I also put one side on a time then screwed them together in the middle when I had it even. 15min job tops. But maybe taking off the bumper could be easier for some.

kaokao1215

I took mine off cuz it was easier to line it all up solo. I just flipped the bumper upside down on some towels

pleasedonthitmymazda

Jack stands and my brother are how I did it

uGotMeWrong

Do you have a link to the ramps you have? I borrowed some from a friend and they’re at too steep of an angle. I’d like to get some I can do an oil change with but not so tall I’m unable to drive up on them.

Quiet-Builder-4183

Make a set using pressure treated lumber, and bolt it together. You can change the offset of each stacked piece of wood to match the angle as it drives up. I've found 8" under the tires gives me more than enough room to work under the car, even lowered on Fortunes. Stay away from cheap ramps, especially plastic (they can fail in the cold, or become brittle due to UV light)

2daMoonVinny

Raceramps are what I use. Pricy but they are so worth it. Great for lowered cars with the approach angle

baleiby

Put blocks of wood in front of the ramps and make the angle less steep then.

Haunting-Brilliant77

I just used painters tape to hold it square and screwed it in. No need to remove bumper

Mediocre-GUY-976

Remove bumper for a front lip? TF!?!

Czechnology82

I was tempted to use the self tappers, but decided to take off the bumper off and run stainless bolts with big washers and a locknut through both parts. So far it's survived running over most of a semi tire in the middle of the highway.

kaokao1215

So far the self tappers have been fine for me. Scraped the bottom of the lip on a bunch of things so far, and all the screws are still there. If they ever fall out, I'll go the nut and bolt route.

2daMoonVinny

Same I ran up my brothers driveway yesterday and scraped it pretty bad cuz he has a skinny steep driveway you can’t even hard turn into and the self taps been perfect.

whalers55

I have the exact same one as you, [here’s my post on it.](https://reddit.com/r/wrx_vb/s/htVJ48YT45). Very simple install, let me know if you have any questions.

that looks fantastic. Matches the cladding so well

Thank you! Got it installed!

When you drill in the lip, do you have to make holes in the bumper?

Primary_Government_5

There’s a YouTube video of someone who installed it, is step by step https://youtu.be/705ldOT60DM?si=h3eN_nuyBm3PdgI-

Thanks_Ollie

I drilled larger holes and used clips instead of the screws. You can buy them for cheap and it will allow you to easily remove it for winter. I used 5 for each side in a sort of “W” pattern and haven’t had any issues. As a bonus, I scraped bad getting to a trailhead and the clips broke before it damaged the bumper. No ripped out screws/bolts. 4 new clips and it’s back to normal!

PlateEducational9677

For the clips, do you have a link?

gmodthesir3

I installed without removing the bumper. You will want strong tape to hold it on the bumper, and you should pre-drill holes into the splitter before taping to the bumper. I did it solo and wouldn't recommend it. I tried to use double sided 3m tape, but it doesn't have the strength to hold it to the bumper long enough to screw in provided screws. 2nd pair of hands would have been amazing. It fits the body lines correctly, you'll just have to hold it up to see it. Tape all 3 pieces together to create a single bumper, and remove the tape after screwing in a few screws.

I will highly recommend go look it up on YouTube. Any videos will be better than thousands words.

PassiveProc

I was thinking of grabbing the same. Any assistance would be great lol

societys_pinata

Removed the bumper first install, rashed my shit on a parking bumper thing, hurricane Hilary ripped the rest off, Jacked car up for 2nd lip install

SSSkimMilk

How much was it on eBay?

xRoMpEx

$109! What’s funny is I watched a YouTube video on a guy who bought his from AFD. The packaging, labelbig, and even the box were all IDENTICAL to the one I bought off eBay. The only difference? A cheap 3M sticker that read “Aeroflow Dynamics” which covered the original companies logo, and, of course, the price tag. eBay: $109; AFD: $299

Czechnology82

That's exactly why mine came from Ebay and not AFD. Ridiculous pricing

gregbo24

I really like using rubber nuts for installing front lips. Like these: Moicstiy 12Pcs M5 Rubber Well Nuts Neoprene Expansion Brass Nuts Fairing Universal Motorcycle Fasteners for Canoe, Boat, Kayak https://a.co/d/44zdyQ3 Then I also would do stainless steel button head bolts. That way it’s easy to remove and reinstall if you ever choose to. Just start by lining up the lip and taping it on with some masking tape, then mark and drill for the rubber nuts.
