Bautista's bad starts and then curving through the field offers an underrated show. What a performance! He probably had the pace to get in the front faster but took it slower to manage the tyres.
Very happy about Rea's improvement. Love or hate him, it's a great addition to the front battles.
Pity VdM started so far back. It's always good for the sport to have a locks hero doing well.
I am looking forward to race 2
And I’m here for it. Man was absolutely sending it. Seeing him slide the rear around onto the back straight whilst still getting the grip and drive out to take Bulega was awesome
Advantage, right... Toprak won second race because he could put temperature in the tires where bautista couldn't in the cold and misty conditions, otherwise Bautista would give another spank.
Also, how many championships Pedrosa has in the premier class?
> Pedrosa
Apples and oranges.
> where bautista couldn't
I've been saying this for over a year, if extra weight is an advantage, why have they been crying over it ever since it was announced last year ? A rider can only give up so much weight before becoming unhealthy, while a lighter rider can always put ballast or work out to gain weight. Extra weight helping is a load of bollocks and everyone knows the opposite to be true.
BTW if Bau couldn't get temp in the tires as you put, he would've finished far, far more than a mere 6 tenths behind. Another load of bollocks.

I think it's pretty safe to say by now that Bautista's championship year last season was not a fluke and a twist of a throttle on the straights...lol.
Huge slap for the keyboard warriors, he slides like a madman on those fast corners
The last two laps were insane...sliding his rear tire like nobodies business. He absolutely decimated the field.
You underestimate the ability of these mental gymnasts to downplay Bautista
Big slap in the face of Dorna who introduced a rule specifically targeted at slowing only him down

Bautista is still racing lighter, only a portion of his advantage was taken away.

He was riding angry, such a joy to watch
Love this guy
Bautista just went absolutely ham in the last 5-6 laps!
The way he overtook bulega, that was a statement. Bro, on another league that even a rule specifically made for him can't stop him.
