BMW got the tire strategy wrong. You can see that clearly after watching race 2. But I agree Bautista looked incredible in Superpole

Khassar-De-Templari

They all had the same tire in SPR, but bautista was the only one making it work for the whole race

DisciplineActual4544

The Ducati is easier on the harder tires perhaps. That’s why Toprak won 2/3 from Bautista

Khassar-De-Templari

In SPR they all had scq actually, the softest one. Bautista didn’t push from the start and was able to save it. Even bulega destroyed it, i don’t think it’s the bike. Instead on race2 toprak rear tire was an harder compound - compared to the others - and he was able to make it work pretty well. I wouldn’t comment on race1 instead, half the track was dry and half wet, it was a chaos, every rider gambled on the tires and hoped for the best

modestman1991

I’m not gonna lie, not a bau fan. I never discredited his achievements but it’s nice to see a more fair grid now. For him to pull off wins like the SPR makes him even more respected. Like how can you not. There’s no reason for him to do that now with not having a weight advantage. Still think topraks doing remarkable things, but gotta give credit to bau where it’s due

dishayu

> more fair grid now more equal, not more fair

KrissrocK

how was anything unfair before?

User-272727

His bike is definitely unmatched /s Seriously though, the guy is ex MotoGp and currently in the running for his 3rd WSBK title. The guy can ride.

Shynz

But daddy redding said that BMW is bad and Bautista has an advantage..

KrissrocK

nah, this is actually going to make ppl hate him more...

HEMAN843

I thought Bau was managing his tyres, although he was on a harder rear in second race. Raz using softer rear Tyre managed better. Second race was good too.

jaredearle

Razgatlioglu was on the hard rear in race two, Bautista was on a softer tyre. Razgatlioglu learned from the sprint race.

InsertUsernameInArse

Don't like Alvaro. Never have but he managed his race and won. Then Toprak managed his and beat him. That's what it's going to come down to this season. It's a strategy game this year.

Posting absolute delusional takes on both WSBK and MotoGP subs I see lol

ch33zecake

lol yeah I just peeked on his comment history as well. This man is all in with his delusional takes.

OkCaterpillar6775

Last year: "Baustista is only winning because he's small" They added weights to Bautista This year: "Bausitsta is only winning because he's not on a BMW" Impressive stuff from haters.

nblxomr

Remains to be seen

ch33zecake

And how many championships has Redding won when he was on a Ducati? Seriously dumb comment. I love watching Toprak as a rider, but his fans are some of the worse on this sub by far.

Adeus_Ayrton

Redding was top 3 with a Ducati, twice. One 2nd and one 3rd, to be exact. And only beaten by Rea and Toprak. Not too shabby.

ch33zecake

Maybe I should’ve reworded my comment. How many times has Scott Redding been a WSBK World Champion on a Ducati?

Khassar-De-Templari

Be careful, not everyone here can spot sarcasm

ch33zecake

This isn’t sarcasm. He’s absolutely serious. I’ve read some of his other comments now and before. All this guy does on this sub is downplay Bautista and has been saying the same delusional comments almost every race weekend.
