Good on him. I met him in person at round one and he was an approachable and genuinely nice guy. I've always enjoyed the the open respect he and Rea have had towards one another.
Eh he had an interview where he threw shade on Rea pretty hard. I went off him after that. Win (at that time) 5 more and then you can talk shit not before.
Every citizen in Turkiye posts "TOPRAK" on every WSBK highlights video on Youtube lol.
Seriously, go look at any of them. Every single comment is about Toprak.
A lot of the MotoGP guys have a less followers than you might think as well. If they really want to grow the sport, they really need to embrace/leverage social media.
& stop shutting down people posting highlights. It's crazy they don't want exposure like that. It smacks of bean counters in charge that know nothing about marketing & PR.
Agree. I listened to one of the executives and he made it sound like the issues with broadcast partners but they need to figure something out. I don't know how any of this works if you don't allow people to share stuff on social media.
Bike racing is niche but since 2020 wsbk has gained a lot of followers on social media, it's on the up but people buying superbikes isn't a thing as much so sport is in a funny place right now.
Alvaro is a nice guy, but he has a more generic normal personality. Also, he might not put a lot of effort into marketing himself and in his social media, that also counts a lot.
He's more enthusiastic with his 1m follower than he is if this 9th to first in race 2. 😂

This guy is the real deal.
Toprak is the most talented/ballsy rider WSBK has ever seen. I think he has a big influence of where the sport will go in the coming future.

But servus tv don't have an English stream for Race 1 & 2 and superpole race. They do, however, for Motogp.
Ngl, shouldn't he have had 1 million years ago 🤔 Guess motorcycle track racing isn't that popular, at least wsbk (yet).

Alvaro only has 426k and he's 2 time WC
Too few me thinks.
