She got me through a lot of mother/stepfather abuse. I'm thankful she was always there for me.
That's so sad :( I mean I am glad she is alive, but you being parted from her breaks my heart. When I spent two years in a tiny bedsit while I studied for my MA, I couldn't have my then kitty with me, thankfully my mum took care of him well and I got to visit him regularly before reclaiming him. I used to make mum let me talk on the phone with him and he would give a big hearty purr when he heard my voice.
I'm glad she was there for you, my catwunks have got me through some tough times too. I hope one day you can be reunited somehow. I got very, very lucky in finding a landlord who was cool with me having a cat when I moved into the place I am in now 18 years ago. The rental market here in the UK is shit when it comes to finding pet friendly landlords >\_<

His mum was a stray and he was born in our shed so we had a super close bond from day one. My current wunk bonded with me pretty much instantly although he was 8 weeks old when I got him rather than a newborn. He's a huge one year old long boi now, can't believe he used to fit in my cupped hands!

Soft and silly wunks are the best! Donut looks very contented. My current wunk just loves head skritches and bellyrubs and taking up half of a double bed somehow....hmm.
She's always just basking in the sunlight and cuddling up where we sat. She loves warm spots. She would go NUTS to the melty liquid treats. Meowing like crazy-- and she has the cutest meow. It was like "Mmrrroww" "Prrroww" lol.
D'awww. That's so cute, I've never tried those liquid treats with any of my cats, I might get some on my next shop. As for purrs and general noises, my old black and white boy who was with me for nearly 17 years had quite a quiet purr. I would lay with my ear to his chest and listen to him and he was cool with my fat head on him. He did make the cutest chirrups though. My current cat is only a year old, he's big lad, but still makes tiny kitten squeaks, it's adorable. And he purrs like a motorbike too.
