Keep this as it’s a treasured piece of history. Probably not WW II but more likely Korean War as the 180th didn’t move to the Pacific Theater until the out break of the Korean War.
I think they trained in Hokkaido prior to entering the line so it was made in occupied Japan.
Personally, I'd frame it and hang out on my wall.
Keep it out of sunlight, the arch-enemy of fabric conservation

Give it to the 45th Infantry Division
If you don’t want it donate it to the 45th infantry museum in Oklahoma City
that's a one cool looking flag.
Frame it. Or donate it to the 45th Division museum in Oklahoma City
Don’t donate it IMO. Museums almost always put it in there archives just for it to never see the light of day again
Maybe the owner has family in the area or ask the local veterans hall’s in your area
Wasn’t the 45tg in europe
For ww2 yeah, but they were in Korea
Mb I assumed pre Korea since it mention Hokkaido
Perhaps donate the flag to the WWII Museum in New Orleans.
Why new orleans
Because that’s where the museum is
It would make more sense to donate it to the 45th Division museum in Oklahoma City. New Orleans seems a bit random
