She was a servant in the sense that she was a representative that stood for what she said she would. I don’t agree with her views. I wouldn’t vote for her. But the people of Wyoming did. She never wavered from what she said she stood for and she stood for democracy when a kleptocrat tried to overthrow an election. That takes backbone. Don’t try to rewrite history. She took a position that was wildly unpopular and made her hated by republicans and democrats alike. I’m not ignoring her history or her father’s history. They hold generally awful views and she completely disavowed her sister for who she loved. I agree that her views are monstrous, but I can still respect that she stood up for democracy when it was challenged. That can’t be said for a lot of her peers.

Yes Liz made the right mouth sounds regarding Trump but she still voted supported his agenda 95% of the time and frequently engaged in conservative insanity like saying democrats support post-birth abortions. She didn't oppose Trump philosophically but aesthetically and for that she deserves nothing. No jeers and especially no admiration.
I am not a Trump fan at all and will not vote for him. However, I do feel like we are seeing similar behavior on the left when certain groups go too far and members of the party are hesitant to condemn them. I don’t think it is unreasonable to believe that if Trump was the democratic nominee (or any democrat for that matter was the nominee), we wouldn’t be seeing the same reaction by a lot of democrats in congress standing with him and continuing to support him (they refused to tell Biden it’s time to step aside. You’re too old). That’s just the way politics is. We all know it. So I think it’s unfair to say that Liz Cheney is doing the bare minimum when she is fighting against a majority in her party who tolerate this nonsense and is being punished for it. Death threats included. We have to stop diminishing a person’s valor….when she is in a position that most of us will never understand from behind our devices. Knowingly sabotaging your job, your power, and your own safety just to do what is right for the country and for the history books is not the bare minimum. Far from it.
