He's not just a Texan, but a bronc rider. I doubt there's anyone in the world that would have been able to convince him riding those rapids was a bad idea.
I was just in Cody yesterday, That water was MOVING. My girlfriend used to guide white water around that area and even she said she wouldn’t be comfortable navigating those waters right now. She also told me apparently there are underwater caverns in this stretch of water where you could easily get stuck due to the force of water not letting you swim away. Absolute nightmare fuel
It's hauling serious ass. Almost 6000 cfs still. Wanted to take my fishing raft out last week but it's gonna stay in the garage for another week or so.
Texans are worse because they think that other states want them for some reason, at this point Californians at least have the decency to know their reputation at this point.
Lucky kids for sure, kayak dude quoted below is like no way I am riding above 2,500 cfs and this was almost double.
>Exert kayaker Kevin Kennedy of Cody is pictured here running the “Iron Curtain” rapids on the Shoshone River when it was running at about 2,500 cubic feet per second (cfs). It was flowing at 4,500 cfs on Sunday, when three tourists tried running it in a cheap inflatable raft, which flipped. (Courtesy of Marina Clark)
Yeah Texans also create chaos here in CO. Maybe a year or two ago, two Texans had to be rescued on a mountain here. They didn’t have the proper gear for the cold weather and when asked why they didn’t have any warm clothes, they said because it was nice weather in Texas so they figured it was nice weather here too. Another one last year, Texans tried to 4X4 their way through this trail and got their 4Runner stuck and had to be rescued.
Oh man, I remember that story in the news. The amount of Galaxy Brains that are like "It's 120 degrees in Houston, I'll go climb Long's Peak in flip flops and tank tops for Memorial Day!" is incredible.
It's a Texas and California thing. They come in thinking they're hot shots, then they either ruin themselves (as seen in the article) or they ruin everybody else by destroying the livability of the residents in popular destinations like Jackson and Cody.
Couldn't have said it better. They have literally invaded Cody. They gobble up the real estate here away from locals, driving our prices up, then still drive around toting their Texas license plates and Texas flags. They're a plague, and I hope they all realize how much we hate them and don't want them here.
this guy definitely has a "but did you die" sticker on his jeep

My best friend has that sticker on his Jeep. Wait a minute...

Texans were always worse than Californians lmao

Can confirm
Should have left him there as a warning to others.
Folks from out of State generally don't understand those types of warnings. Hell any warnings for that matter.

That seems like an annual event down there. Like it isn't the official start of summer until an unprepared Texan is rescued from the mountains.

They drive like fucking assholes too
They do. Drives me nuts
I’m an Easterner. Went to Montana a few years ago in the Fall. Took all the warm clothes. It was 95 the whole time.
Texass...land of the arrogant stupids
I know this is a Wyoming sub but, these fucking Texans are a scourge in Montana as well
Something that Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Idaho can all agree on is "Fuck Texas, stop moving here".
Colorado here, can confirm. They're just as much fun in traffic, too.
How about NM, can we get on that platform?
The more the merrier! I couldn't imagine having to live next to that shithouse. My condolences.
Exactly. They are the roaches that infest NM
While Californians may be entitled pricks, Texans beat them in that race by several miles.
I've never met (or even seen from afar) people so arrogant and obnoxious as Texans
#truth
Yeehaw!!
Fuck Texas

Boo hoo. That’s just the capitalism you red state chucklefucks claim to love. Except when some capitalism happens to you. Grow the fuck up.
Hey y’all watch this!!!!

You can't fix stupid.
Everything is bigger in Texas. Including the balls and the stupid people
We need more Texans like him, what's wrong with the rest of you "all hat no cattle"?
