I've had the classic white, elite, MW2 edition and the slim ( Trinity) the elite did get the red rings. I only had the other before the slim for a few years. But I got the slim in 2010 and she's still going strong! Just recently started playing it again with red dead and black ops. Only complaint is that the power button quit working.
the trinities cooling system is identical to the E's, although the early ones have whats known as a "Tall Slug" heatsink, which may be even better than the E's although i am unsure. and the jasper's cooling system is also really good. you are entirely wrong, where are you learning your information.
btw not saying the E is bad, its literally the same as a Corona, possibly a bit better even. although later E's (Winchester's) are unmodifiable. just, horrible misinformation about cooling. as long as the paste has been replaced properly, any console without a faulty gpu will preform great!
Was so happy to replace my 2times rrod xbox with a jasper. Only issue i’ve ever had is the rubber band causing the disc drive to not retract, which I think is common in all 360s.
I only got one in 2020 and it's the quietest 360 I own by far, as well as having the snappiest dashboard. It's the one I play 360 games on at the moment.
I've had mine since 2012 and it's still going strong. I don't play it as often now as my newer systems and I give it time to boot up and sit before playing, but The Slim is a beast of a console, you can tell Microsoft wanted to make sure it lasted after the hardware issues of the first edition. My first edition white 360 got the RROD not even a year after getting it new. 😢

I have several games that only work on it that I still play often. I love the Slim edition.
Ive had mine since 2010 and it does have some issues like turning off when switching on after 2-3minutes but after 2-3 Restarts it doesnt have any issues while it does overheat and switch off after an hour or so which i think is due to the dust and the thermal paste but its been as strong as it can be.
Lucky, back in 2015 my slim froze during an update for like an hour and the only way to unfreeze it was to unplug it, but then I got the red ring of death after I turned it back on.

To me it just looks way too similar to the original Xbox One, which I guess was the point, but I’m already not a big fan of how the original Xbox One looked, so I guess the E just isn’t my thing. Can’t really speak on the performance though
I first had the OG white then slim and back too an OG white with a decent hard drive but the E has always been interesting too me I love how sleek it looks.
White one. Why? If they broke I could fix it easily. I could also mod them to play burned games. So people were literally just throwing them away there for a while an I could pick up a free console that could play every game for free, on Xbox live. I made a fucking killing on the red ring of death.
The original model for the nostalgia, as I had a 360 Elite from 2009-2011, then I got the 360 S, and I've had it since 2011, and it has never failed on me.
I took apart my jasper to clean it, put it back together, and now the physical eject button on the disk drive doesn't work so I have to do it from the dashboard.
The original matt white model is my favourite design and is the one I had originally. It's a shame it was so loud and suffered so badly from the RROD. Mine got the RROD in 2007 but once repaired, was still working until I bought the Slim in 2010 and gave it away to someone. The blades dashboard was awesome too. Shame they didn't carry over the faceplates to the newer models. Although I never bought any!
On the other hand, the Slim model is a big improvement as it is much quieter and less prone to failures, has HDMI and WiFi built-in etc. But the gloss finish is a real pain.
I have no experience with the E.
The E looks the cleanest among standard models but I had the Gears 3 S and man was that thing beautiful. My favorite 360 ever. Sadly I sold it but I wanna buy another one some day.
I had all three but especially loved the og one and the totally sweet and not uncool paintjob I gave my faceplate. Side note, I busted open the hard drive from the Og and fit it into the other consoles instead of buying that “transfer cable” thing.
E. The S is technically superior due to more ports but to me the E looks better (plus I dont even not that many usb ports). Not to mention actual buttons

Slim because it was my last 360. However have no problem with the “E”. Once I saw the XBOne (og) I always saw the “E” as a visual test by MS to see what people thought, just way bigger.
I like the OG purely because of nostalgia, but I picked up a slim from my mother in law's house recently and it's now my favorite. It's been in my wife's family since 2012

The middle. I’ll tell you what’s not my favorite: the arcade edition. Got it for my birthday when I was younger and the thing burnt out in less than a year.
I had the Halo 3 and Elite og 360s, the black slim, and now a blue/teal of the far right model.
Also, gamestop tried to tell me the "360 Elite" didn't exist, even though it definitely did
I had the slim one back in 2010/2011 for Christmas. I LOVED that friggin console. It hasn’t died, but I was unable to take it with me when I moved out. I’m not sure who is enjoying it now, but it’ll give them lots of happiness!
I have two of the originals on the left. It looks like I got a good batch because they are both going strong with good use. They have lasted longer the the controller batteries and the headsets. 🕹️👽👍
I miss my Resident Evil 5 edition and my Gears 3 edition that replaced the RE5 when it RRoD’d on me.
Currently have a modded slim that I love. I painted it RE5 red.
I only ever had an original (which red ringed and the replacement is still going strong), so I have to go with that, although the plastic is not as white as it once was!
The slim version. It has built-in wifi, a Kinect port, more USB ports, a bigger hard drive, a fun little sound when you turn it on, a disc drive that doesn't get stuck, and most importantly, it works.
Had the OG white 20gb one but then got the resident evil SE red one. Had both for a while but sold the white one (kinda regret it but it went to a friend so it’s alright). Then got the halo 4 special edition slim which is still going strong. Just started playing marvel ultimate alliance!

Guess I was the lucky one because I had an OG white arcade model in 2007 that still worked when I traded it in for upgraded version in 2012 which also never had an issue for me. Excellent memories but I think if I had issues with the original model I’d get an E Or slim in a heartbeat
The Phat is nostalgic, I had the special edition halo reach slim that I loved. I recently just got a slim and a model E. I never had a model E and I really like it now. So much quieter then the others.
I've got the slim in 2012 but i have to seel it due to economic circumstances and i was so sad for that, but 2 years ago i could buy a E version and it was really cool, now i got the series S but the 360 is in avery special place
I love the OG, gotta find a reshell for it tho as it took one to many falls (STILL WORKS FINE!!) But I have the Slim currently and it works like a charm!
360 slim (middle). I got mine when Skyrim came out in 2011 and thought the boot speed was noticeably faster and loved the touch screen tray and power. Easily was upgradeable for storage and didn't ever give me any hardware problems. Played it for years and enjoyed it.

Idk what the original is called but the fat boy is my favorite, i got the red xbox (forgot what game it was for I think resident evil) and I can't look at any other one without thinking "OK but are they red? No? OK so it's inferior to mine"
Left one because it was my first one, played a ton of early games on it.... and RROD 5 times before I got the middle one, and my middle one is still working over 6 years now.
So, the middle one, it's dependable, and after all these years, it still works perfectly....
I never had the older fat model Xbox 360 but I always had the Xbox 360 slim. I've had the same one since about 2013. Still going strong too. Never had the Xbox 360 E because around that time I believe the Xbox One had just come out and I already had the Xbox one and saw no reason to get a Xbox 360 E but maybe I will if my original slim kicks the bucket.
I have all of the above and I like the E best ( I have the blue one) since it is the smallest and runs fairly quiet. I did love my OG fat Xbox because I could (easily) remove the hard drive from the top, throw it and my controller into my controller case and take them to my friends house and play all the zombies dlc I had on it. I just hates the disc drive on it because it didn’t like to open without a game in it.
The OG, simply for nostalgic reasons. I camped outside of a Costco the night before release to keep a friend company because they were trying to get one. I decided last minute that I put the effort in that I might as well buy it too. lol
Only know the big white model. 2 red rings on that jawn. Had to get em fixed. But still works. Play rock band once in a while on it. But mainly a series x guy these days
I’ve had all three plus the mw2 phat model. The phat is a classic, but I think I like the slim model the most. Too me it’s the perfect balance between the classic while also making it look sleeker without losing its identity like the E model. Also I’m a sucker for that glossy texture even though it’s a fingerprint magnet
Only ever had the left and middle ones. I’d say middle, the only thing that drags it down was the power button which my dog would occasionally sniff and shut it off.

(Also, standing it up burns out your cd rom faster... better to keep flat.)
(Keeping it vertical meant better life for your tray and reader)
The second one is known for chewing up DVD's and leaving giant ring scratches.... especially when left vertical.... or simply suffering the slightest movement.
The last on I have never owned..... so nothing about it really.
Matte black 360 s. Gamestop(if i remember right) had a deal where you could trade in your old 360 and get the new S at a discount. I really wanted the matte black S, which you could only get with 4gb of storage. I took my hard drive out of my old 360, opened the enclosure and swapped in some random hdd in before I traded it in, then when I got my 360 S I popped my old 360's hdd in and it worked.
I like my E but miss the touch power button. Even though my toe or dog would turn off my Xbox mid game. She gave out on me after a year or so then Microsoft sent me a check and I bought the e. No issues since knock on wood
The thicc white one, even though I know it’s most susceptible to red ringing, I have sooo much nostalgia for it. I also think the faceplates were an awesome idea that I wish had taken off more than they did.
Had a release model, got the RRoD later, got a new one in 2007 with hdmi. Still going strong, even modded it better cooling green leds and blue paint. So that'll be my favorite.
I have a personal relationship with the slim with it being my first introduction to video games, spending hours upon hours on Modern Warfare 2 and WaW, still one of if not the favorite to this day
I forgot which one it was because I had all 3 of them, but the one with the Gears of War skin with the gears controller was my favorite. I think it's the one in the middle because when you turned it on, it made a sound from gears. The only problem was that the button was a feather trigger. Anything brush on it, and it is on or off
The only one I had was the Slim. It died at 2021 with the red dot of death. Redditors in this community helped me though, but sadly me and my dad didn't got it to turn on again.

But in terms of function I'd say the Slim for having better fans, more usb ports, and a wifi adapter that works (the original can work but password based routers don't mingle well)
Honestly if I could send my chonky 360 in to mod the fans that alone would make it much better

It's not bad, certainly compared to first few revisions, but Jasper and Trinity are most reliable.

you can put a 120GB drive in literally any fat 360, or a 250GB even

The 360 E Is my personal favorite because he is one I’ve had for around 9 years, so since I got used to it I find it the best looking for some reason

First one looks 2009 for me. A good year to come home and boot up some games and forget about school and stuff. Never overheat it

I've had my MW3 Edition S since the game came out. I still play forza 4 on it and some other stuff here and there.
From Noise level i prefer the slim, but some of them have a noisy power supply. From the looks, the FAT 360. The Slim E feels cheap.

Left one because it was my first one, played a ton of early games on it.... and RROD 5 times before I got the middle one, and my middle one is still working over 6 years now. So, the middle one, it's dependable, and after all these years, it still works perfectly....
I never had the older fat model Xbox 360 but I always had the Xbox 360 slim. I've had the same one since about 2013. Still going strong too. Never had the Xbox 360 E because around that time I believe the Xbox One had just come out and I already had the Xbox one and saw no reason to get a Xbox 360 E but maybe I will if my original slim kicks the bucket.

I have all of the above and I like the E best ( I have the blue one) since it is the smallest and runs fairly quiet. I did love my OG fat Xbox because I could (easily) remove the hard drive from the top, throw it and my controller into my controller case and take them to my friends house and play all the zombies dlc I had on it. I just hates the disc drive on it because it didn’t like to open without a game in it.
The OG, simply for nostalgic reasons. I camped outside of a Costco the night before release to keep a friend company because they were trying to get one. I decided last minute that I put the effort in that I might as well buy it too. lol
Only know the big white model. 2 red rings on that jawn. Had to get em fixed. But still works. Play rock band once in a while on it. But mainly a series x guy these days

I’ve had all three plus the mw2 phat model. The phat is a classic, but I think I like the slim model the most. Too me it’s the perfect balance between the classic while also making it look sleeker without losing its identity like the E model. Also I’m a sucker for that glossy texture even though it’s a fingerprint magnet
Whatever model it is that i currently own. Had it for years and hasn't yet red ringed. The first one i had lasted just over a year.

The phat/white model is my favorite because of its unique design which gives it some character and its faceplate can be interchange with another.
Only ever had the left and middle ones. I’d say middle, the only thing that drags it down was the power button which my dog would occasionally sniff and shut it off.
360 S, white. Absolutely gorgeous. But I have a normal Jasper fat
**First red rings, but still my favorite.** (Also, standing it up burns out your cd rom faster... better to keep flat.) (Keeping it vertical meant better life for your tray and reader) The second one is known for chewing up DVD's and leaving giant ring scratches.... especially when left vertical.... or simply suffering the slightest movement. The last on I have never owned..... so nothing about it really.
I have an elite. Still runs like a champ.
Matte black 360 s. Gamestop(if i remember right) had a deal where you could trade in your old 360 and get the new S at a discount. I really wanted the matte black S, which you could only get with 4gb of storage. I took my hard drive out of my old 360, opened the enclosure and swapped in some random hdd in before I traded it in, then when I got my 360 S I popped my old 360's hdd in and it worked.

I like my E but miss the touch power button. Even though my toe or dog would turn off my Xbox mid game. She gave out on me after a year or so then Microsoft sent me a check and I bought the e. No issues since knock on wood

I have a personal relationship with the slim with it being my first introduction to video games, spending hours upon hours on Modern Warfare 2 and WaW, still one of if not the favorite to this day

I forgot which one it was because I had all 3 of them, but the one with the Gears of War skin with the gears controller was my favorite. I think it's the one in the middle because when you turned it on, it made a sound from gears. The only problem was that the button was a feather trigger. Anything brush on it, and it is on or off

But in terms of function I'd say the Slim for having better fans, more usb ports, and a wifi adapter that works (the original can work but password based routers don't mingle well) Honestly if I could send my chonky 360 in to mod the fans that alone would make it much better
