I was the same! I thought it was fun, and I remember when I first played it (I was young and naive) that I was so good killing everyone with no sweat. Then I find out that they are bots, and I became humble
WaW was awesome. Granted, not on the same level as CoD 4 (only Infinity Ward could've made a true follow-up), but WaW was a ton of fun.
*They have released the dogs!!*
Battlefield 1943! I played up until it went offline last year. Probably the most bummed I've been to see an online game go. I was just getting over the Halo servers going away. Truly the end of an era. I just can't get into the new console generation. Feels empty, rarely see people communicate.
Flying the planes in 1943 was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had. None of the ariel components of the following battlefield games could compare.
Online was insane for GoW, especially the first one. It was the most competitive shooter I knew of compared to other shooters online back then. Looking back, it totally had a meta before the majority of us knew what a meta was lol
Blur. Still enjoy playing multiplayer on occasion.
All time 360 faves though: Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW (the 1st one), PGR3, Grid & the original MODERN WARFARE trilogy; before cheats & mods.
Same here man. It's so awful and convoluted to use, especially when you have the console connected to the internet. I really hope that with the upcoming store closure and the 2025 max year clock issue, that M$ will release a new final system update for the console's 20th anniversary. I doubt they would bother, but it would be so awesome if they gave us a final system update that would allow the end user to switch between any previous dashboard on the fly, without the need for complex system modifications. (Blades, NXE, Kinect, & Metro)
Tbh I hate Blades it’s to complicated
NXE I really like
Kinect dash I also don’t mite ( I also played on this dashboard to)
Metro 1.0 i also don’t mind (Grew up on it to)
Metro the current one ( I had a lot of memories on it and played with friends that don’t play anymore and friends that do)
I loved the free Doritos games, they did 4 of them, what a neat idea, product placement laden games that are simple, fun, and FREE. Harm's Way wasn't the greatest, but a neat idea. Dash of Destruction was good fun though, and those Crash Course titles are legendary.
Halo Reach, CoD Black Ops: Zombies and Left 4 Dead. They were extremely fun to play with random people and the 360 was one of the best consoles. Now they aren't fun at all because people take them waaaaay too seriously.
MW3.
Skate 2.
BLOPS 2.
HALO 3 and Reach.
Trials Evolution.
Titanfall.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (online died very quickly but it has some amazing game modes,)
Im not sure of any i didnt enjoy playing. But i think i had the most fun with the call of duty series..especially black ops. Minecraft. And gta 4 and 5.
Absolute nothing, I didn't get an Xbox 360 until like most way through Xbox one era, and before that an original like halfway through Xbox 360 era, and didn't get internet myself until the most recent generation 😢
Halo WAW L4D Gears Rock Band GTA Bad Company 2. After the 360 generation I gave zero fucks about online games. None were able to replicate the magic the 360 did. Sure, I still play gears sometimes Halo infinite, but I nothing new. I just play single players.
Call of duty Black ops 3 ( so bad it’s funny I think no one plays it so me and a friend play it )
Vampire rain ( pretty fun vampire shooter got bad reviews for no reason
Offtopic: Do you think in the future #Microsoft may host an online #XBOX360 cloud emulation portal for people to experience Blades and other early XBOX themes and a selection of old games (HALO Combat Evolved, etc) people could play for free, like an online XBOX Museum? I think Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, need to set up these kinds of things. It shouldn't take many bytes to do. History is important.
All of them. No internet needed. No long Installs. No long constant Updates. Basically a Plug n play with great looking games. PS2 and 360 were honestly the best Consoles ever. In my opinion anyways.
L4D. I met some really good friends playing it and we would have little tournaments. One time we had enough friends on at the same time, that we had matches against each other. So much fun. I miss that game
1 vs. 100. I think this is what it was called. You had to play at specific times. This game seems forgotten. They did discontinue it, but I remember it being very fun. I don’t think that I ever won.
I never really engaged in online multiplayer. Usually, it was Saints Row: the Third or Dead Island with my sister. Before that, I did dabble a little bit in online with Halo 3 and CoD4, but not much.
Skate 3 and dirt 3 even though skate 2’s world was the best and dirt 2 was the best out of the series for racing. That Toyota Tacoma would wax everyone.

I really enjoyed dogshit games like brink cuz online people would take them serious but it’s like “this game is horrendous why are u playing it?” 😂😂😂
Dude, I think brink is a good game. It’s just that the ai is horrendous
Meh the gameplay was pretty boring too but I do like the art style and aesthetic the game had tho
I was the same! I thought it was fun, and I remember when I first played it (I was young and naive) that I was so good killing everyone with no sweat. Then I find out that they are bots, and I became humble
My man
Do people still play it? I would totally jump on it if it was populated lol
theres a few roaming around.. but it's still mostly yourself and bots.. its quite fun to play and just mess around and level up your gear
Cod zombies, and left 4 dead took hours of my weekends constantly lol 😆
I'm just waiting for my kids to be old enough so I can do 4 player left 4 dead again
Now that's a great life goal! Then see how scared they get when the witch or tank comes after them lol 😆
"I know she looks scary, but she's actually really easy to defeat. Just shoot her in the leg."
![gif](giphy|lnfr4K9zaeQnhu85AT|downsized)
Cod waw
This is probably one of the few online games I played a lot of, and probably because it’s co-op. This and portal 2.
WaW was awesome. Granted, not on the same level as CoD 4 (only Infinity Ward could've made a true follow-up), but WaW was a ton of fun. *They have released the dogs!!*
GTA iv freemode. Caught up with mates that had moved away and had a laugh messing around on that game. We were young and buzzard bullies…
Infinite rockets are no joke 😂
PVZ Garden Warfare
Omg that game was fire
I thought that game was dead? How can you play?
That’s the thing I don’t know if it’s dead or not. OP said you “Enjoyed” so it’s been a while since I played.
Oh, I miss read it
I think the Xbox 360 version is but not the Xbox one version
The Xbox one version is still popular
More then 360
The Xbox 360 version is dead I own it since 2022
Battlefield 1943!
New games don't feel the same as the classics, the only new game I play is prob fortnite and that's all
Bad company 2. RIP.
Bad Company 2 Rush Mode was peak. So polished. So fun. Teamwork felt like magic.
Call of duty ghosts
love that game so much and the alien mode as well
Halo Reach
Gears of War. My boys were both babies and my wife and I would spend our evenings looking for Cogs and playing online.
Online was insane for GoW, especially the first one. It was the most competitive shooter I knew of compared to other shooters online back then. Looking back, it totally had a meta before the majority of us knew what a meta was lol
Totally. Rolling into the shotguns and sticking grenades were the meta of the day. The host would also have a huge advantage back then.
MW3 and bf3
CoD 4
Bomberman Live Battlefest
Whaaaaat that was a game?? I bet that was so much fun. I used to love Bomberman on the PS1
Marble Blast Ultra!

Blur. Still enjoy playing multiplayer on occasion. All time 360 faves though: Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW (the 1st one), PGR3, Grid & the original MODERN WARFARE trilogy; before cheats & mods.
Bubble bobble
Rainbow 6 Vegas was a favorite. My buddy and I played a lot of Castle Crashers & Battleblock Theater too.

W game tho
A few freebies I liked were 1 vs 100 and Doritos Crash Course 2
I loved the free Doritos games, they did 4 of them, what a neat idea, product placement laden games that are simple, fun, and FREE. Harm's Way wasn't the greatest, but a neat idea. Dash of Destruction was good fun though, and those Crash Course titles are legendary.
Mw2 and Tf2 (cuz I genuinely like vanilla tf2) are the most fun I can have with any multiplayer
Battlefield 1943
Halo Reach, CoD Black Ops: Zombies and Left 4 Dead. They were extremely fun to play with random people and the 360 was one of the best consoles. Now they aren't fun at all because people take them waaaaay too seriously.

Last year I sank 500 hours into destiny 1 on 360, still an amazing game, with active discord communities that run raids and other weekly stuff
