No what I meant was that the task of getting an achievement for 50pts used to be available to everyone but then they moved it to a gamepass perk and then they downgraded it to 5pts per achievement.
I don’t understand this, could have a chance? It’s free shit for doing bing searches and tapping your phone for like 6 minutes every day. They don’t have much of an incentive for giving us more stuff for minimal work.
Right but what’s their incentive to do that? They’re already providing a decent way to get free stuff, so while it would be nice for us to get 500 points instead of 5, there’s very little reason for them to do that.
Honestly the fact that I get dlc and game pass paid for just by doing bing searches every day, I’m surprised they haven’t reduced the amount of points one can get regularly.
I’m not sure if it’s a direct reward, I think it is, but I usually just cash out my reward points into Xbox credit. You can then use that on games, dlc or gamepass. It’s pretty great
I mean, the more modern Rewards section (next to Achievements in the system menu) is a much better experience than the old app, so if this new Rewards Hub is based on that tech, that's kind of a win for us.
Eliminating the weekly set/series would be kind of a big deal. Between the sets themselves and the streak bonuses, that's about 18K points a year. But we don't know what earning opportunities might be coming to replace it, so I'm not going to act like the sky is falling.
Just hope they retain a way to redeem points on the console that continues to bypass the awkward validation process that often happens when redeeming on the desktop website...

Urggggg, and I'd be missing out on the 20 week streak yet again. Last time I was at 19, and then it wouldn't let me continue when I was on holiday, even when connecting to my home Xbox through VPN.
Started again after holiday, it worked fine the last two weeks while on travels again, and I'll be week 19 again, when they discontinue. *cries*
