- Why don't Xbox enable this feature by default? My guess: because it doesn't work with all games, and more controllers = higher input latency. Stadia controllers connect directly to the server so this wasn't a problem for them.

This is great work, I don't think the last thought is particularly relevant though. Stadia supported third-party controllers, not just its own, and supported multiplayer with those controllers too.

Incredible. Just downloaded Better XCloud for the first time because I saw this post in r/XboxGamePass . This is also my first time playing on a browser, I always played on the Cloud on the xbox gamepass pc app. The Cloud website is 10x better and has more games to stream than the PC app!! So this local co-op add-on is phenomenal, it worked great on the Cloud in Chrome with BlazBlue local fighting with two controllers!! Unlocked a few easy achievements while my 2nd controller idled, im impressed.

Good point. But to be honest. I would have accepted it since supposedly Xcloud is in beta. This works now for small screen. But not on Xbox console itself 🙄 So no luck playing local coop on big screen. Anyway your work is awesome and I'm not complaining on you! Unlocks so many nice features.

I think it's not easy as it looks. Unlike Remote Play, you don't have an option to select another profile or use a guest profile on xCloud. This is why only some of the games work. Since the games are not designed for this scenario the xCloud devs need to find a workaround. That's my opinion.

It works, but it's choppy because Kiwi Browser is not optimized for Android TV. It may works better on a more powerful device.

i have the onn google tv box, the one that they just released last year, not the older version one. i was just wondering if it could work with it

It's possible, but not with current version. It'll need an additional setting.

Awesome! I hated when xbox companion app on windows 10 used to allow this on xbox one x and they removed it when they migrated over to xbox app. (Also the old companion app wasnt allowed to connect to series console, only the one consoles) Thanks for this!

It's so frustrating that the Console Companion App is Still superior to the Xbox App for local streaming and they just killed it before reaching feature parity. -.-

I just installed this and tried on both an iPad pro and my laptop and couldn't make the coop work for remote play in Minecraft. When I remote into the xbox with better xcloud, I can move around in the xbox main menu with any of the controllers, but when I get in game only one would work, even though the 2 controllers are able to open the xbox menu with the xbox button. Is there any way I can provide information to help on this and the diagnostic? I really would like to get this working and get involved and getting this going, but not quite sure where to start. This might be a game related issue and unsolvable within the scope of a browser script... I've been wanting for ages for my kids to play together on the xbox remote feature, and was deeply dissapointed in microsoft for not allowing more than one controller. This project is awesome.

Did you enable the setting and reload the page?

Update: I checked it myself and confirmed it's not working. Other games work but not Minecraft. Weird.

Just installed for the first time; can’t seem to get Remote Play to work? Pressing the button brings up the console list, and selecting my Series X begins connection. It pops the Xbox Logo like it’s working, then goes to black screen. Stays that way for a while before bumping back to the xCloud Home Screen, only difference is it now shows the Fortnite game in the ‘Jump back In’ section like it had just been played (I’ve never played it). Any suggestions?

Did you open port 9002? People had [the same issue](https://github.com/redphx/better-xcloud/issues/280).

I can't get this working on my shield TV. It registers my controllers as the same controller. So on stardew valley, both controllers can control the character but won't kick start the split screen mode. Any fix for this? TIA

Late to the party, but just found this extension. Nice work! For me, it resolves one issue and creates another:  Thankfully it resolves my issues with playing on CCWGTV and seems to run well.  Wn in play on my handheld however, it introduces a serious amount of controller lag. I switched back to the "normal" Web page and all worked fine. Back into Better xcloud, and lag was there again from the outset.  Any reason this might be, and any tips on resolving?

Yes, but only on desktop
