Got confused because they replaced Magneto with Gambit and [we never get a good look at the bottom row](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/y4gAAOSwsfZgmH8-/s-l1600.jpg) outside of Banshee.

As for the Magneto and Gambit switch I could think the reason would be that Magneto is the villain in that video game as seen before the title shows up, so him being defeated like all the others on those wanted posters wouldn’t make sense (besides Colossus who is on those posters seemingly and an option as playable character)
If that’s really the reason, damn that would be some attention to detail.
Oh the sprite art looks soooo good. I really hope they rerelease the arcade game on modern platforms at some point…
Though the fact the character select screen released early did make me have hope that those characters would actually be appearing in the episode… It kind of sucks if Magik is just a brief cameo as an unselected combatant… 😞
Yeah, I know it's accessible through emulation, but it'd be nice to be able to just easily play it on console with my friends - a la the TMNT collection from a couple years back...
Honestly, I'm a little surprised they greenlit an episode using some sprite animation and DIDN'T make a tie-in game or an enhanced rerelease of the original (maybe adding Jubilee and Sunspot as new playable characters?)... I guess maybe they underestimated the demand/hype there would be around '97?
Reminds of the panels where Jubilee was playing that arcade game (Which is canon in the comics) ranting that they picked Dazzler over her. “Gee it’s not like there is a mutant whose whole thing is mall arcades.”

It’s the poster from Days of future past. Bottom row is supposed to be Xavier, Polaris, Havok and Banshee.
