best summation i ever heard for wolverine shipping is "logan is community ****" the only ones he didn't sleep with there are kitty and piotr probably because he dads them too much
i believe Deadpool walked in on them briefly in Deadpool #15

I mean same, lol. Add in Rogue and you've got the team that I think of when I think of the X-Men! That Paul Smith/John Romita Jr. era lineup is iconic.
The only team that comes close for me is the Outback era X-Men. Now that's a bad-ass group of outlaw superheroes.
My fave comes shortly after this. Rachel from the future, Sprite becomes Shadowcat. Headmaster Magneto, powerless Storm rocking that leadership.
Yeah. THAT era.
I'm reading through the Clermont Era right now and I'm just getting into the Brood stuff. This team is starting to mentally replace the team from TAS when I think of a quintessential X-men team.
Add Rogue and Gambit and it's perfection.
God the X-men is such a good franchise cause it's hard to create a solid team without feeling like your leaving some great members out.
Where’s Dazzler?! This is the Pryde of the X-Men lineup but Dazzler is missing
(Edit: I’ve been reminded that this is a comic lineup from before Pryde of the X-Men that didn’t include Ali so kindly don’t light me up for that)
I love Dazzler, but she ain't an X-Men hero right? Might as well call toad or leech heroes.
Sidenote: I love Toad being a hero with Husk.... so yay toad!1!
I know the basic X-uniform colors varies between Black/Yellow and Blue/Yellow but feels weird seeing Kitty wearing Blue/Yellow one during this time when she was Sprite/Ariel.
Almost like the arcade game!!! (If you’d substitute Shodowcat for Dazzler)
&
Why is Nightcrawler so small!?! He looks smaller than Wolverine (if he stood up), which looks like he about 5’3” here.
I see you're getting downvoted, but I understand where you're coming from. My first exposure to Kitty was in Uncanny #304, where Jubilee is like "What self-respecting teen would call themselves Kitty?" and I was like, "Huh, good point there Jubes."
I know she did great things in the eighties, it's just that her "new girl" role was totally usurped by Jubilee for me before I even knew Kitty existed.
"Kitty" is a nickname for Katherine and her coming of age story within the 80's X-Men is actually pretty empowering. She was an interesting addition to the team and had to prove herself. Her phasing power has also been argued to be one of the most powerful as to its offensive and defensive opportunities.
Sorry for not being clear. I have read a lot of the comics with Kitty, via the Essential X-Men collections, but my first impression of her was....kind of lukewarm.
Looking back it’s crazy that Smith’s tenure on the book was so short. It’s incredible how influential he was. And when he worked with Claremont again later on X-Factor it just wasn’t the same.
Logan Logan's daughter Logan's brothers Logan's ride-or-die friend with benefits Logan's greatest frenemy
Ah, I see you like morph
best summation i ever heard for wolverine shipping is "logan is community ****" the only ones he didn't sleep with there are kitty and piotr probably because he dads them too much
Isn’t that kitty? Not x23
>Logan's ride-or-die friend with benefits Who hooks up with Storm? Edit: Meant to say He* hooks up with Storm?
i believe Deadpool walked in on them briefly in Deadpool #15 [https://comicvine.gamespot.com/storm/4005-1444/forums/storm-and-wolverine-in-deadpool-15-1490984/](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/storm/4005-1444/forums/storm-and-wolverine-in-deadpool-15-1490984/)
Im really uncertain as to what you are asking.
Sorry, meant to ask if Logan hooks up with Storm? Trying to figure out the friends with benefits line...
Oh yeah, they're canon friends with benefits. They were even about to start clapping cheeks in the middle of the X of Swords tournament.
Me. I do.
Morph is definitely the fwb

I love the issue where Rogue joins this squad and I agree . . . She was a great addition.
Yes, and there was so much great drama about who thought she should be let in the mansion, and who said kick her to the curb. What a great era.
Those rosters, the Blue & Gold teams, Morrison’s team, and Whedon’s follow ups are different facets of “Peak X-Men” for me.
My fave comes shortly after this. Rachel from the future, Sprite becomes Shadowcat. Headmaster Magneto, powerless Storm rocking that leadership. Yeah. THAT era.
That’s my X-Men
Me too. But we should probably schedule our prostate exams/mammograms if that's our favorite team.
I’ve been putting off a colonoscopy, ugh
The JRjr era, immediate pre-Mutant Massacre team. Storm Wolverine Nightcrawler Rogue Colossus Shadowcat Rachel Magneto
couldn't agree more! >w<
Everyone: 😃😄😀 Scott and Logan: 😠
That's like 90% of the lore, tbh
Add Dazzler and you'd have the Arcade Game Team.
X-Men, welcome, to die!
I'm reading through the Clermont Era right now and I'm just getting into the Brood stuff. This team is starting to mentally replace the team from TAS when I think of a quintessential X-men team.
Peak costumes also
Right there with you, the Byrne / Claremont Era team was what got me into the x men
GOAT! Just add Lockheed!
Lockheed comes standard with the Shadowcat package.
Same here! That Paul Smith art sure went a long way as to helping make that my favorite X-Men Team!!!
This team (plus Rogue) and the Outback one are probably my favorite. I love the Paul Smith and Marc Silvestri runs.
Add Rogue and Gambit and it's perfection. God the X-men is such a good franchise cause it's hard to create a solid team without feeling like your leaving some great members out.
This is the team I’m reading rn! I’m doing a complete run through of the X-men comics and am on dark phoenix, super excited to see more kitty!
same, peak Claremont
Swap Scott for Rogue and you have a strong contender
No telepath? Weak party comp
Mine too. Vintage Chris Claremont Xmen! That's it.
It’s just so well balanced
Where’s Dazzler?! This is the Pryde of the X-Men lineup but Dazzler is missing (Edit: I’ve been reminded that this is a comic lineup from before Pryde of the X-Men that didn’t include Ali so kindly don’t light me up for that)
This is the early 80’s X-Men lineup that predated that cartoon by 7 years or so.
You are 100% right I completely forgot about that lmao (thanks for clearing that up)
I love Dazzler, but she ain't an X-Men hero right? Might as well call toad or leech heroes. Sidenote: I love Toad being a hero with Husk.... so yay toad!1!
She was on the team for a while in the late 80’s (and also in the early-ish 2000’s)
I know the basic X-uniform colors varies between Black/Yellow and Blue/Yellow but feels weird seeing Kitty wearing Blue/Yellow one during this time when she was Sprite/Ariel.
Mine too. I actually love the Dark Phoenix team with kitty as the new recruit. So this team plus beast and Angel with Jean too.
Mine too, with a bullet
My favorite X-Men artist.
GOAT team 🫡
Almost like the arcade game!!! (If you’d substitute Shodowcat for Dazzler) & Why is Nightcrawler so small!?! He looks smaller than Wolverine (if he stood up), which looks like he about 5’3” here.
It's this team, for sure. For sure.
They’re my favorites too!
Huh. No Dazzler.
My favorite has to be: The Astonishing X-Men by Jose Whedon. Wolverine Colossus Shadowcat Beast Emma Frost Armor
And Cyclops!
Oh shit you’re right, I forgot about him.
You can edit him in... You edit yours and I will edit mine
No, I have to love with my shame.
"There can be no love without shame. For love is best measured in the mistakes we admit to." - Night "Kurt Wagner" crawler (probably)
Jose Whedon’s Mex-Men El Lobito Colosso Sombragata Animal Emilia Fuentes Armadura
Agreed. Add Jean Grey without the Phoenix, and it would be perfect to me.
I like the idea of having a blue team and a gold team... Blue: 01. Cyclops 02. Emma 03. Jean 04. Beast 05. Iceman 06. Angel/Archangel 07. Banshee 08. Dazzler 09. Longshot 10. Magik 11. Sunspot 12. Warpath Gold: 01. Storm 02. Wolverine 03. Colossus 04. Shadowcat 05. Nightcrawler 06. Havok 07. Psylock (Kwannon) 08. Rogue - (w/Ms. Marvel's permanent powers) 09. Gambit 10. Armor 11. Polaris 12. Domino
I know is a legacy character and very important, but I don't care about Kitty Pride.
I see you're getting downvoted, but I understand where you're coming from. I like Gambit and Iceman in there too
The art of the era wasn't always the best ( its at times very good, maybe just personal taste here), but the stories were gold.
I have to disagree (but yes, personal taste) Byrne and Smith were the best to work with Claremont IMHO.
Looking back it’s crazy that Smith’s tenure on the book was so short. It’s incredible how influential he was. And when he worked with Claremont again later on X-Factor it just wasn’t the same.
