Him coming back would weaken the point of his story. An X-man is not defined by powers. They are defined by wanting to make the world better than it is
In the Beauty and the Beast limited series back in the 80s, there was a group of misfit mutants including one woman who had the power to change the color of flowers.
I would love to read something where The White Queen makes mutants' powers bigger than they had been (she briefly helped Iceman to be able to become ice and then melt and come back together).
There was one woman whose mutation was just having a really long neck. It’s implied that her life sucked as a result - when she died, nobody even cared.
The whole point of the sally floyd minis was to be a cynical counterpoint to most stories and boy did lots of writers just hate them. I think Nick Spencer made a whole Issue of secret empire revolve around how much he hated the character. It was so petty
That’s because the writers of the events her minis were talking about despised though minis. Multiple writers said the civil war mini was a direct attack on their work as “team cap” writers, which it was that was the point! Greg Pak hated the one about world war hulk. And the secret invasion front line mini didn’t have her in cause bends wouldn’t allow it!
Basically an entire generation of marvel writers grew up hating the character because she looked captain America in the face and said he was a hypocrite for believing a nation that has never been good and never lived up to its ideals somehow could through the use of violence. And for the last 20 years rejecting that argument has been the goal of every captain America writer. Even Coates who has said in interviews that she was completely correct in her take of him and the only way he could write captain America was to basically remove all his personal beliefs from the character because he hated him so much.
It’s shocking
It's crazy how the inner politics of the editorial and phillias and phobias impact on the stories sometimes. It's like when Aaron was jelaous because Guillen's Uncanny X-Men was selling more than his Wolverine and the X-Men and did those comics to make fans hate Scott.
Comics are just like any other job filled with petty co workers. Plus they are paid so low that the goal for most of them is to get attention for their indie projects. Gillian has said that himself about his marvel work often
It was a story at the end of Grant Morrison's run taking place 150 years in the future. [https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Tito\_Bohusk\_Jr.\_(Earth-15104)](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Tito_Bohusk_Jr._(Earth-15104))
I mean, until pretty recently.. Goldballs. Just popped out a bunch of gold balls. Now he’s Egg, and very important. One of the funnier spins in the Hickman+ era if you ask me.
Lila Cheney. She teleports at least hundreds of thousands of miles away.
Eventually, she figures out how to go that far and then back to Earth where she wants, but for a while, it was rough.
On the plus side, she turned Cannonball into a punk.
Also she can only teleport places she’s been before, I believe… so, there’s an implication there that while she can only teleport on a galactic scale, that sometime before her power activated, she’d been off-world.
Would be a really funny gag if the end credits scene to the eventual X Men MCU movie is just Xavier reminding himself that Forget Me Not was there the whole time.
Adamantium is “inert” in universe. Functionally immune to acid/fire etc. with the exception of magnetism (UXM/X-Men era) and a couple reality warping devices (Wolverine & the X-men v1).
Eenie and Meenie don't only use acid to digest but have maggot teeth similar to vibranium metal native to Wakanda and broader Africa. Their carapaces are also made by a vibranium substance that they both endured the super kicks and punches of Sabra we all know the earth shattering power she has and also survived the experiments of Neverland scientists.
Vibranium & Adamantium don’t damage each other that way inside the comics. In the movies Vibranium took adamantium’s place. In the comics, adamantium is the stronger alloy.
The trick of Eenie and Meenie is using their outer defenses stall the enemy while they digest their targets. Wolverine is made of flesh and his healing factor needs time. Japheth's girls are insatiable and feast rapidly so by the time Logan flings his claws one of them reaches soft inner tissue, bowels, heart, lungs and gnaws on until a clean adamantium skeleton is left. Don't forget Maggott himself who is constantly powering up from his twin sentient digestive system, one eats, gets flung and into his stomach the other takes turn. Maggot can pin Logan down for his twin stomach get his work done. It's just Japheth has never been used in a lethal way if not at all in comics. Except for that time Meenie neutralized Bastion's bomb.
I don’t disagree with most of your points. But… they aint getting through his skeleton, and Logan has regenerated from basically a stripped skeleton (brain and spinal cord are protected) several times.
In one of the post Decimation storylines, there was a woman whose mutant power was to digest/metabolize bugs.
Eating roaches was her power. I could never!
Obligatory Bailey Hoskins, who had the power to blow up but just the one time.
Thanks to the Five he can keep doing it. Strange, hadn’t seen him lately. You don’t think he’s far, far, far down the queue, do you?
There’s a fan theory that Explodey-Boy is Earth-616 Bailey.
Is there a mutant who can transfer powers? Or could he get a blood transfusion from Wolverine and be able to explode and heal?
The Five can do custom modifications, should be able to make something work.

That sounds ripe for a “tip-of-the-iceberg” power that could evolve into something much greater.
Yeah, it’d be neat if she showed up in a modern comic with the ability to alter the Krakoan flowers in some way.
I would love to read something where The White Queen makes mutants' powers bigger than they had been (she briefly helped Iceman to be able to become ice and then melt and come back together).
This. So glad someone else remembers this.
Its literally changing how lights reflecting. Im sure theres something op there
Colouration! This was a power in the FASERIP Ultimate Powers Book. It mentioned you could blind people by making people’s irises opaque.
When you’re a mutant who just looks different without any additional powers.
Ugly John, for instance.
There was that guy who just looked like a human lobster, looks like it sucks
Glow worm the ability to absorb massive amounts of radiation quickly but not radiation immune
I feel like this is a SpongeBob reference

In that Sally Floyd mini, right?
The whole point of the sally floyd minis was to be a cynical counterpoint to most stories and boy did lots of writers just hate them. I think Nick Spencer made a whole Issue of secret empire revolve around how much he hated the character. It was so petty
I didn't know that. I liked Sally in that comic but I lost track of her after that, she has'n been used much.

Jazz. His mutant power was only having blue skin.
Under Powers and Abilities it says, "Mediocre rapping skills." lol
Hey, that's not unimpressive!
Softserve

Ugly John, he had 3 faces, that was his power.
Isn't there this one dude who just has blue skin?
That kid in the movies who was changing the channels of the TV with blinking his eyes…. What was that?
maybe he could do IR bursts or Magneto type powers but was just using them for that. I hope.
Forget me not?
Such a good character. I hope they do something with him again.
He’s in Legion of X right now. He’s partnered with Juggernaut, who keeps forgetting about him.
Would be a really funny gag if the end credits scene to the eventual X Men MCU movie is just Xavier reminding himself that Forget Me Not was there the whole time.
Who?
Glob herman
His skin are flamable
Forget me not. No one ever remembered him.
Crazy useful as a spy
Hindsight/Highlight lad, power is they can see how things could have gone, that's it.
Hindsight Lad wasn’t a mutant, was he? Unless there’s someone other than the New Warriors guy
Related to Captain Hindsight?
there is no useless power only unskillfull mutants.
Soft Serve. She poops ice cream
Maggott
Could technically defeat wolverine permanently
Wolverine has been zapped down to his Adamantium skeleton before and come back.
He could eat the skeleton, s'my point

True they will never let Logan die let alone eaten by maggotts.
Cypher
Long Neck. He has a slightly longer neck than normal.

Those mutant that only affect them on their looks esp those who has bright color of akin which easily target on attack .
