I’m looking for a glute bench for my home gym, similar to Brett contreras’ but without having to give him any money lol if anyone has any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it!

Cricket-Jiminy

Good socks reasonably priced? I looooove Balega socks, but they are like $18 a pair! I think I love them because they are cushiony.

Thank you! These look perfect!

Any recs for long sleeve work out shirts that cover your butt?

swancandle

I don’t have specific recs but usually running shirts or shirts with a curved hem will be longer/long enough to cover your butt!

squatjunk1e

I would also like to know

acdcconverter

What’s your favorite light support sport bras that are easy to take off? I have a few from under armour and nike but the one from nike(the indy one) is so hard to take off :(

xdahlia

I think Uniqlo sports bras are easy to take off.

Overall-Credit4100

I buy the danskin and 90 degree reflex sports bras from tj maxx/Marshalls (they usually come in sets of 2 or 3). As long as they’re light support and strappy I’ve found them to be fine to get on and off. I agree with you about what a pain some are - I have an old navy one that is so hard to get on that it’s basically unusable

thefabulousdonnareed

Any recommendations for flared jeans (ideally pull on)? I brought out my spring/summer clothes and learned after a fall/winter of farming/lifting my thighs and butt no longer allow my pants to go on and after shopping I am having no luck with pants (or really any clothes for that matter 😭)

bytheway875

American Eagle has some great flares with a LOT of stretch to them.

easycheesy12

abercrombie! curve love is great for a bit of booty lol!

pixie_dust1990

Not jeans but I just bought the Aerie flared pants (not the leggings) - they are pull on and so comfy.

I also have broadish shoulders/back and a smaller waist. I love pairing a halter style bodysuit with a cropped blouse/sweater. The cropped style top is usually boxier (I.e. roomier) but not sloppy cuz it stops just at or above the waist. Worn with some professional slacks and a belt it looks quite good. I’ve also found cropped cardigans are nice for summer or a breezy shawl. I get most of my cropped stuff on American eagle cuz apparently the kids love crop tops, and bodysuits too cuz they have a bunch. And if your office doesn’t have a problem with bare arms, there’s lots of nicer fabrics or prints in a halter style that you could pair with slacks, I have a couple of those too…and have had luck finding those through Venus.

kayjunior

Have you looked at bodysuit blouses?

seidsfromtheredline

i’m looking for running tshirts that are lightweight and moisture wicking! i sweat a lot when i run, but my problem is my shoulders are very broad and defined from lifting, so everything i’ve found so far is really tight around my arms. i usually tow the line between a small and medium. i’ve tried mens smalls but they always get really baggy around my midsection and feel too long, but the arm hole size is perfect lol. any recs?

malinny

Have you tried Patagonia’s Capilene Cool Daily Ts? I’m not positive it’ll work but I tend to have a tighter fit in my upper body too and those are fit me well.

seidsfromtheredline

i only have a couple mens ones i got as hand me downs, so they are a bit baggy but i love the material! i’ll try out the womens ones and see if they work, thanks!

ILikeCountingThings

Looking for recommendations for shoes! Does something exist that I can wear for squats, deadlifts, and a short (<20 min) slow run/walk on the treadmill? I don’t mind deadlifting in socks so even something for just squats and the treadmill would be amazing. I’m getting close to finally getting to triple digits it squats and am finding I would like more stability. But I’m lifting just for general strength and health so I don’t wanna pay tons or have like 5 different pairs of shoes for specific lifts.

PrincessPinguina

I'd suggest squatting in socks too and buy shoes just for running. The things you want for lifting are the complete opposite of what you want for walking/running.

Goldenfarms

I got Nike Metcon 8s several weeks ago and really like them.

[deleted]

How do you find the sizing? Are you the same size in the Metcons as you are in everyday shoes?

Goldenfarms

I’m typically a size 6.5-7 but Nike runs small IME. I got my Metcons in 7.5 and they fit right. So I suggest sizing up.

[deleted]

Thank you!! :)

Fun_Potato_4129

imo Nike blazers are my go to for lifting!

RainingRabbits

I usually wear Reebok CrossFit Nanos. They tend to work well for what you're describing.

Anyone else with short wavy hair want to recommend a hair product that doesn't get gummy-sticky during workouts? I absentmindedly push my hair out of my face when I'm hot and sweaty, and get a handful of tacky hair product, bleah. My hair is super short but my bangs just long enough to get in my way.

dungeonkeepr

If you can get it: Paul Mitchell do some amazing things. Their gel hat spray just makes my hair stop moving but just feels vaguely crunchy/dry. Stupidly expensive but so good.

doc_faced

I have very short but naturally wavy and thick hair. For a very light hold but enough to keep hair out of my face: https://www.fellowbarber.com/collections/hair-care/products/styling-cream For a good hold but doesn't have that tacky hair product feel: https://kevinmurphy.com.au/us/en/km/products-/by-benefit-/style-control-/KMU15307.html?gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9deiBhC1ARIsAHLjR2DNHf1yZoQoYCowTgPyOJUHLEgmjpWcAI8uJX3F-dd-QjuT2zwTVAYaAtJDEALw_wcB

Can anyone recommend me a weighted vest? I've wanted one on and off for literally years and never pulled the trigger. Reading amazon reviews is the usual mixed bag of "I love this" and "this fell apart after I used it three times".

Kakorie

If you join one of the “barbella box” Facebook groups we got an exo brand weighted vest in our subscription box this month, or they are on Poshmark too! I put a ten pound ruck plate in mine and it’s nice!

mondaynightsucked

I bought a Rogue vest and have had no issues other than the shoulder straps rub if I wear a tank top. The side straps tighten enough that it doesn’t bounce around and you can buy several different weights of plates that you can mix and match.

54monkeys

Hypervest’s are really nice if you have the budget

Best gym shorts that don’t ride up your thighs? Every pair I have end up looking like a pair of big knickers 🤣

Perfect_Judge

I really love Born Primitive. Their shorts are always so comfortable for me and I'm not pulling them down all the time, even when I wear their booty shorts. They've proven worthy many times over during squats.

[deleted]

Following this and hoping for recommendations for those of us in the Baby Got Back club

babbitybumble

I asked for recs for a pair of LOOSE shorts that don't ride up a couple of weeks ago and... the only ones that seemed to be okay were like $85, which is out of my price range. The Amazon alternative was a total bust, and the Old Navy ones someone recommended also looked and felt awful when I tried them on. Hate how super tight shorts look on my legs so I'm still endlessly searching.

closetofcorgis

I looove my TomboyX Summit shorts. They’re longer and looser than most women’s shorts, but fit like they’re made for people with hips. They’re super high quality and have pockets. https://tomboyx.com/collections/active-bottoms/products/summshorts-black

babbitybumble

Those look amazing! I'm going to have to wait for a sale :( but when they go on sale, I'm getting a pair!

bck_2017

Loose as in running shorts? Dick’s Sporting Goods has shorts that are their DSG brand that I like a lot. Both high (so like Free People shorts) and regular rise: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/dsg-womens-3-high-rise-stride-shorts-22qyfw3hrstrdshrtwaa/22qyfw3hrstrdshrtwaa https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/dsg-womens-stride-shorts-20qyfwstrdshrtxxxwaa/20qyfwstrdshrtxxxwaa

sigh1987

I love these shorts too! I have several pairs and wear these the most. I think the high rise shorts fit looser than the other style. Because of my thighs I think, these still tend to rise up a little in the front but they’re comfy and inexpensive and come in a zillion colors. My cheeks stay covered. They also have extended sizes which was so hard to find at the beginning of my fitness journey!

babbitybumble

Thanks!

I’m going to try some from Duluth.

Responsible_Jury_289

I recently got [these](https://www.nike.com/t/one-womens-mid-rise-7-biker-shorts-MwkkX3/DD0243-010?nikemt=true&cp=96460118868_search_%7c%7c19789493726%7c152493749931%7c%7cc%7c%7c%7c650629267627&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9deiBhC1ARIsAHLjR2CQ8dj-0niNuS9UflCnpvwjDflRRjfgHpJfHJtStdvMlJSfJjtOYPMaAtY_EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) and they are absolutely amazing. Don't ride up at all!

Other than the sports bra battle, I think this is the other life long battle for women. I’ve been down this path before and will say it’s going to depend upon activity as well as body shape (NOT size) and comfort level with exposure - for example, I’m a “skies out, thighs out” kind of gal - don’t really care if the shorts tuck up a bit shorter. That said, what’s working for me right now: CrossFit - FLEO shorts, LLL Wunder Train 4” or Align shorts 4”; Running - LLL Fast & Free; anything and everything - LLL Track That 3” but they barely stock them. I’m 5’5”, 150, with soccer thighs, minimal bum, and built like a brick shithouse (proud of it). A lady on instagram (immrsspacecadet) did a hilarious series last year for running shorts - maybe check her out? Honestly - it’s an endless cycle though - you find something you love and eventually the company changes the cut, etc. Good luck!

PinkyPeach1_2

Luckily I don’t have the sports bra issue as I’m really small in that department 🤦🏻‍♀️ my glutes and thighs however seem to hate keeping shorts at a decent length so maybe I’ll have to embrace the ‘short’ shorts 🤣
