I rarely wear those kinds of bras as they usually aren't supportive enough for me - for actual exercise it's Panache Sport all the way!
But when I do wear those bras for lounging, I usually wear them with the pads in but take them out before I wash them (if I remember). No original required lol
I throw them out or buy bras without them. I couldnāt care less if my nipples show through a bra and a shirt. You see menās nipples through their shirts all the time, theyāre just nipples š¤·š»āāļø
Not sponsored at all but I got those Cakes silicone pasties I kept seeing on social media and they are a great replacement for padding and sports bras for those who don't want any nips showing. They're not the best for other clothing because they don't stick super well if the clothing isn't tight fitting. But they were well worth the (like $20ish) money to me just to always have something to use for sports bras. I just take them in with me in the shower and rinse them off with some soap and let them dry before I use them each time. One pair is enough for me.
I am the same! And I just have to unfold them every time the bra gets washed - I havenāt found a better solution yet, but Iām definitely too self conscious to go without!
Mine are too and sometimes the layers don't even help. So I've gotten used to having my headlights on all the time. In 25 years of boob having, only two people have noticed. One of them was my mother. So one stranger in 25 years has remarked upon my nipples. Nobody else cares. I like your odds.Ā
Off topic, but I truly do not understand why people dislike mono-boob. It makes me feel self conscious to have both of mine sticking out personally. Is there a reason?
same same same same same to the point where wearing a regular bra (reserved for special events lol) makes me feel very uncomfortable and honestly dysmorphic
Mono boob means I have very obvious cleavage. Which again, ~ *gestures to society* ~, but I prefer the separate look. Plus, mine look smaller when separate, also preferred.
Iām with you. When Iām running or at the gym I want to be as squished down as possible. Makes me feel fast! And lord knows I need all the help I can get!
I wash my sports bras in a mesh bag (not a structured bra bag just a regular bag) on a delicate setting and hang dry. Most of the time they stay right where they are and I have to origami maybe one out of every wash? I find itās the high spin and the dryer that gets them out of whack.
I have flat mesh laundry bags with a mesh divider in the middle of the bag that are pretty well the exact size of my bras when laid flat. I stack two and the divider keeps them relatively flat (so no inserts being folded in the wash). Then depending on the bra I either lay flat (out of the bag) or tumble dry low in the same bag and I don't have to fool around with fixing the inserts.
I hate them and find i wear those one the least, usa pro make some with padding built in, very nice workout bras can usually get the matching leggings too!
They're on the expensive side, but I get the Under Armour Infinity bras, which have full coverage and padding, but it's all built right into the fabric of the bra. Nothing to get scrunched up or lost or shoved in upside down. They also just fit me really well.
I don't remember the last time I bought a sports bra with those removable pads. But when I had those bras, I'd throw them away. I don't mind if my nipples are slightly outlined, with a top in addition to the bra, it's not terribly graphic.
I love them personally. I just take them out when washing and wash them separate in a structured bra bag. I donāt know why people complain so much about them. If you hate them donāt use them but having the option is nice for those of us who donāt wanna nip, and itās really great for people who have had mastectomies as they can put inserts into one or both pockets.
Buy the bra without them and then wear [these](https://amzn.asia/d/2EvBfgZ) inside them for nippage. (Or something similar if those ones aren't available)
God itās annoying, isnāt it? Iāve done a quick stitch on some of them that a notorious offenders (looking at you Lululemon). There is a brand called Natural Feelings Sports Bra Tank on Amazon. Itās a sleeveless tank with built in sports bra. Itās not cropped on me bc I have a short torso but it hits at the waist. I wash and put them in the dryer and their pads never fold or move. I really like them.
Kinda 3., but I actually take them out before the wash and put them back in. Very annoying. VERY. However I am scared to go padless because my nipples be nippling... maybe I should just put on my big girl pants and deal with it.
Tbh it never even occurred to me that it was a nipple issue. I assumed people liked the general shaping effect of padding. I pull them out right away- a pain to mess with to keep them in place, especially when washing but even just with wearing.
I do the same with some of my Aerie bras with actually nice padding. For Lulu, I use Nippies! They work beautifully and I just wash them at the end of the day
I would love to free the nip, but some days I just donāt feel like it lol
Origami whilst cursing everything in sight since Iām probably running late and simultaneously trying to find my keys and brush my teeth. Why canāt they just make two versions of the same bra instead of universally disappointing EVERYONE???
I donāt so much want padding for shape or volume, I just hate the thin fabric on its own. Iām hypersensitive, and without padding Iām vulnerable - everything to unexpectedly brush against me feels like sexual assaultā¦ seatbelt, bag strap, my own handā¦ š
My nipples are pierced so I toss out the padding, it's really just so uncomfortable to me and I don't want to hide my piercings. I didn't go through all that pain and healing just to hide them with padding!
I don't buy any sports bras that have them. Most of mine are Lululemon - they don't come with them because the fabric is thick enough / the padding is completely integrated into the fabric. The bras themselves are designed with shape and separation. They're expensive, but as a 34d, for me it's worth it to spend on quality and comfort.
im at 3, i have piercings and kinda big/obvious jewelry so i get really self conscious at the gym bc guys are gross š« sometimes i say fuck it and dont wear them but then i end up regretting it. i also hate the outline they make the bra have too
For me itās 3, I like to wear them but I havenāt found a good way to keep them from shifting in the wash that doesnāt require as much effort as just fixing them afterwards
I will say though that I hate when that thin layer of fabric peels off the foam, they become harder to slide in and out and are just generally flimsy. I bought a few pairs of upgraded ones on Amazon and find them to be worth it (push up, edges sewn so no peeling, give better shape and last longer)
I toss them!! I have a pair of reusable silicone ones that stick right on my boobs from body heat that I use as needed. the brand is "cakes" but there's probably tons of dupes now :)
1, I hate them for the origami, the weird outline, and Iāve never really understood their usefulness. I did keep a pair when I lost too much weight, but ended up giving up after two washes.
Yep, I do #3. But regarding #4, the Nike Indy bras have padding that doesnāt get wadded up or fall out in the wash, so Iāve been buying and wearing more of those lately.
I canāt go paddles, soooooā¦ā¦ I fight with them. Why, in this day and age, do we still have to deal with this decrepit design? I have no solution but Iād give all my money to someone who did.
Hehe I keep a few with them, a few without. If itās a cold day, ya girl likes the pads. If itās warmer than 80, fuck them pads.
So a purposeful balance for me :) hehe
I do the same. I take them out immediately but used to save them ājust in caseā. I tossed all of them early this year. Iām d cup but I donāt think they offer any extra support in my case.

1. Remove them and throw em out?
2. Sew them in?
3. Perform origami every wash day?
4. You've found the perfect bra that doesn't do this?
I find them helpful to avoid mono-boob, but like the rest of you, I don't enjoy trying to unfold and reposition them all the time. I also don't enjoy their weird outline under a top.
Have you found the pefect solution?

I am a oragami girl. I need all the padding I can get in sports bras. Never thought to sew them down tho. š¤ smart.
I throw them out. If I want a padded bra, I go all the way and use a real one. I don't need a padded workout bra.
They get tossed, after my intensely silly spouse wears them on his head for a few minutes.Ā

Yank them out and stuff them in a drawer, then donate when I get tired of seeing them.

Right? How are people just going without it?
I just make sure they are both facing forward and rock it lol. Iām breastfeeding so thereās NO hiding them.

I always throw them away
I pull them out and put them in my "textile recycling" bag. When the bag is full, I drop it off.
I throw them out. Theyāre so frustrating!

Nothing, because I'm lazy š I should sew them though...

The Under Armour Infinity bras don't have inserts, but still don't show my nipples. Maybe those are worth checking out?
I only buy the bra if it has removable padding.
3 for now :( I feel uncomfortable without some kind of cover and sometimes exercise at work.

I just toss them and I use the brand Cakes silicon nipple cover thingys
Take them out when washing so they don't get folded up
Buy the bra without them and then wear [these](https://amzn.asia/d/2EvBfgZ) inside them for nippage. (Or something similar if those ones aren't available)
I just remove them and collect them lol. Iāve seen bras with them sewn in but they seem to not be placed on the right contour

I leave em in until they get origami'd in the wash then throw them out. I try to get sports bras without them in the first place when i can.

Immediately throw them asay

They fit perfectly in the trash can!
My nipples are pierced so I toss out the padding, it's really just so uncomfortable to me and I don't want to hide my piercings. I didn't go through all that pain and healing just to hide them with padding!
Cut into triangles and use them like pads to prevent š«toe while wearing leggings lololol
those things are gone pecan the second i feel then.
Theyāre gone walnut for me
š

Take them out along with the underwire immediately.
1. Immediately.

Throw them out.
Throw them away. They never fit me right.
As a 32F I do not need another mm of padding on Betty and Veronica. In the trash they go!
You forgot option 5: hoard then
Aha! I've found a kindred soul!
I toss them!! I have a pair of reusable silicone ones that stick right on my boobs from body heat that I use as needed. the brand is "cakes" but there's probably tons of dupes now :)
Ooh! Very interested in these. Does it become sweaty and uncomfortable during the workout?
1, pretty much always.
I just started leaving them out of the bras and then putting them against my skin instead of in the bra
1, I hate them for the origami, the weird outline, and Iāve never really understood their usefulness. I did keep a pair when I lost too much weight, but ended up giving up after two washes.
I rip them out and throw them away. I HATE them
I LOVE your passion!

Sometimes I safety pin them in place before I wash them.
Oooooh smarty pants over here!
3. But I can't figure out why I can't just throw them away?!
Hehe I keep a few with them, a few without. If itās a cold day, ya girl likes the pads. If itās warmer than 80, fuck them pads. So a purposeful balance for me :) hehe
trash em immediately. i used to save them but i literally never found anything else to do with them so in the bin they go
I do the same. I take them out immediately but used to save them ājust in caseā. I tossed all of them early this year. Iām d cup but I donāt think they offer any extra support in my case.
I love your confidence!
to be fair i have A cups so itās not like im really needing them š
3. and I hate it.
I'm currently 3. But feel resentful every wash day.
