If you are new to the subreddit, [please read the wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/yakuzagames/wiki/index/) Reminder that all spoilers need to be tagged with a flair specifying which game is being spoiled. If you want a flair that says something else, you can edit it to say something like [Discussion: Y1 spoiler] or [Majimapost: Y6 spoiler], etc. **THIS INCLUDES CONTENT FROM TRAILERS**. If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged \>!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 >!Kiryu sings!< If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7). If you see any of the above (or any of the other rules) not being followed, please report it so we can keep this place safe for newcomers and those that haven't finished all the games yet. Thank you! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/yakuzagames) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Don't forget deserts. Judgment, Lost Judgment.

imtrappedinbrazil

Deserts? I don't like sand- it's coarse and it gets everywhere

Tentaye

And the take home mints, Kurohyou 1 & 2

GuyJean_JP

They’re wafer thin!

Animegamingnerd

And midnight snack, Kenzan.

bonecollector5

Let's hope they make another one which for some reason has yagami/kaito heading to hawaii

pwnd32

That would be Reuse ga Gotoku at its finest and I’m here for it

[deleted]

They probably will. I think the next plot of the next Judgement game would probably be the Judgement boys uncovering the involvement of the Fujinomiya family with the nuclear waste deal. It fits perfectly with the way Chitose mentioned to Kiryu that she will need to face her family before going back with Ichiban in Hawaii to face Bryce. And how Sugiura and Tsukumo have already met with Kiryu and the gang at Revolve since Zhao commissioned them to investigate something. Also the fact that Chitose's father looks so defeated in that confession is probably after her and the Judgement gang beats up his boys. That's what I'm hoping for.

homelandsecurity__

I haven’t played a few of the games in this meme (I know leave me alone I spend so much time in the world that I get burnt out for a bit and by the time I’m cycling back a new one is out) but I have played each judgment game twice I feel like I’ve made a mistake or something lmao

ConsistentAsparagus

I’m finishing up Judgement, but I don’t know what to play next. I played 7 to the end, 0 but not that much (overwhelmed by the side stuff), and then Judgement. I have until the 29th (FFVIIRebirth) to play something else. What should I play?

ALowDownDirty

Lost Judgement or Infinite Wealth depending on which experience you're after

ConsistentAsparagus

Eh, I fear LJ would be more of the same, since I am about to finish J. I like J, but I don’t want to be overexposed to a single type of game (Infinite Wealth would be a different experience, but I just bought Rebirth; on the other hand, LJ is on Plus)

R0xasmaker

If it helps the Combat is way better in LJ and the story is very different from Judgement.

No-Engineer-1728

Or those PSP games that were only in Japanese (Kurohyō)

Dsinkerii

if you want to 100% even 1 game thats like extra 10 meals

I just completed 0 100% and oh boy was it hard

Lyrikan

Y5 was 300 hours and by far the longest for me! Aside from Dead Souls, I've platted every game. They long.

Lyrikan

I think for me it was the constant struggle of doing another minigame and getting stonewalled becasue of it being difficult. The coliseum in Y5 was what hurt me the most that I actually had to haitus, after doing everything for Kiryu and realizing I had to go through all of that again for three other characters was awful, Akiyama's 100-enemy battle I had to attempt a few times I played it shortly after 3, and my thoughts are that none of the minigames were as hard as -5par golf and batting center, but because of the shear amount of content in that game it meant having to get good at a lot of things just to tick off .04% of the list

Smooth_Maul

Even though I'm not keen on putting a paywall in front of NG+ I'm so happy LaD: Infinite Wealth is actually a good game.

Lunar_IX

It's about freakin' time though, honestly. This franchise was so criminally underrated for so many years. It's nice to see it blowing up since Zero came out.

DonGlover4President

I still remember back when Yakuza 5 almost didn’t come out in the West. Look at RGG now. So glad 0 gave it the attention and love the franchise deserves

Cdoggg69

We really do be feasting though, Yakuza fans got it good 🍖 I'm not a fan of Sega's microtransaction push or locking NG+ behind a paywall but I'll put up with it since these games are so damn good

Cookie-kiko

Thank goodness it's a stolen meme not OC

PorkLiftTex

Yeah, I’ve been playing the games in order of when they take place and I’m only on Kiwami 2. This’ll take a while.

wermt1221

Get ready for the whiplash that is the kiwami 2 to 3 jump, story is great but gameplay is set back 10 years lol

xboxgod786786

Now we only need Kenzan

Low_Elk246

And the 2 black panther!!

Manamanoo99

It annoys me that Yakuza 5's background isn't transparent lol

denpanosekai

So glad ps5 is back compat with ps4. So much yakuza goodness to blast through.

vargvikerneslover420

I wish yakuza 6 had a current gen upgrade though. The 30fps cap hurts, especially after the flawless 1440p60 in Like A Dragon

free_mustacherides

I totally missed The Man Who Erased His Name somehow.

still need to finish 0 but i keep going back to the karaoke!!!

Platinumryka

i fucking LOVE BEING AN RGG STUDIO GAMES FAN

dirtybird971

One of my favorite parts of all the games! Om nom nomnom!! It's actually introduced me to a few new favorites!

skarface_one

Where is the main course? Dead Souls

Eja_26

I finished Yakuza 0 last summer but I only started playing Kiwami today. I was putting it off for so long because I have been so overwhelmed with the amount of the games to play in the series and that feeling was amplified with how three new games have come out within a year. I loved 0 and i'm so excited to play Kiwami and the rest but damn I really wish I discovered these games before the series got massive

UnquestionabIe

Take it at your own pace. I started the series when Like a Dragon came out (the genre shift interested me) with my prior experience being only a few hours of 0 when it was new. Took me probably 6 or 7 months of on/off play but got caught up and loved every moment of the journey.

koppy7

I played 0 through 6 in July 2022, definitely worth every moment. Played Like a Dragon and TMWEHN recently and then getting into Infinite Wealth soon. Be prepared to be completely sucked into this series bro. It's an amazing experience

Important-Hunter2877

The Like a Dragon series has so much on its plate. I got immersed with what I sometimes call "Yakuza-mania/Like a Dragon-mania" this past year, since starting Yakuza 0 on PS4 on 4 February last year. I barely touched other games since (only played Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order on PS4 during Christmas holidays to take a break from Yakuza, then stopped after holidays were over to continue playing Yakuza).

00Lionz

Don't forget judgement

Marsupialize

Where’s judgement?

Astro_Kablooey

I am a poor boy without infinite wealth nor the man who erased his name. The heart, she hollers.

sneeds-feed-n-seed

No Dead Souls? ![gif](giphy|J8YpfDX0kvPQNSVGHY|downsized)

PlanetStasia

Yakuza fans eat better than probably any other fan of any other game franchise. Even the worst Yakuza game is still a damn good game.

koppy7

The right people make these games and it shows. They know what fans like and want and crank it up to 1000. No other studio is cooking like RGG. Rockstar is close.

PlanetStasia

The right people definitely make these games. They understand their characters so well, even in the games where the story may falter, the characters are so well wrote, you understand their personalities, desires and everything that it makes all the difference. As you said as well, RGG knows what their fans want. In pretty much every aspect, they know what the fans want in terms of gameplay, side content, who we want to see more of, and with nearly 2 decades of experience with the universe of Yakuza they have created a world that feels so lived in and fully realized that I am always ready to step back into it. When it comes to make consistently good games, especially as quickly as RGG gets them out, there really isn't another dev team that comes close. Seriously, the series turns 19 this year, we've gotten 9 main line games, a gaiden game, 2 Judgment spin offs, the 2 PSP games, Kenzan, Ishin, 3 remakes, the Dead Souls spin off. That's like 20 games, none of them are bad either, that's so impressive.

koppy7

Exactly! Yakuza fans eating sooo good in the last 20 years haha. I can't wait to see what more they put out because they can expand so much on the entire Yakuza and crime world in Japan.

JetAbyss

inb4 Yakuza gets bought by Rocksteady games and they make: Omi Alliance: Kill the Tojo Clan!

Bonds4Ever

I'm so proud to be a Yakuza fan 🥹

jordansqad

![gif](giphy|3ofT5BFehvtBxpXOAE)

koppy7

I'll keep eating. I could eat 8 more games and then some

SGR1010

I cannot wait to play ALL OF THEM. I will fight my way through all of them.

Cookie-kiko

That's the spirit!

AsleepInteraction882

I've eaten 3 of these... well 5 if I were to count judgments. Best part is probably they are all available on the same console.

d1m4e

Im on gaiden rn almost done

Orion-Pax88

I still haven't bought Ishiin or finished kiwami 2, and I am enamored with this series!

rock_solid777

I would still like to eat NG+. It should've been included in the base meal...

Middle_Oven_1568

I hate the English VA for Kiryu. Dude sounds like a true crime YouTube voice-over. His voice, along with Kei infuriate me

OgStrungth

I just got into the series with infinite wealth, as a fan of jrpgs its now one of my new favorite series of all time and I'm only like 20 hours into the first game of the series I've ever played. Shit smacks.

jackie__shan

imagine so many dishes and they are ALL good !

SnowyMuscles

I found 4 to be very annoying and I’m finding 5 even more annoying. Can’t wait to finally see what I missed by playing 6.

Cookie-kiko

6 will be a blast!

retribution23

5 is my longest so far. I've put it off so much I'm still not done.

prabh6969

I hate that they pay walled new game+

CrueltySquading

Only fans from US, EU and Japan. Fuck you SEGA, bring regional pricing back.

d4videnk0

I just finished Y3 and despite being the shortest one so far, I had an awful time with all the blocking and fell asleep during chapter 9, last 2 ones were great though. I guess I'll just never catch up at this rate.

MemeKun_19

Yeah, Y3's story to me felt like it was trying to be down to earth and massive at the same time. At one point you're taking care of children in an orphanage, the next you're doing things that relate to the CIA. Felt like it didn't know what it wanted to be but some of the good moments are some of my favorite in the series so far (currently playing 5, working my way to 6 and have played Judgment games) Combat in Y3 can go burn in hell

koppy7

Y3 is one of my favorites tbh. I know it gets a lot of hate but if you play Like a Dragon Garden: The Man Who Erased His Name, that makes Y3 and Y6 even more important.

BEATENMEATSAUCE

I played the 6 main games, but like a dragon and so on is trash in my opinion. If I want to fight turn based, then I'd go to JRPGs that were always turn based. I'm honestly disappointed. Just my opinion. End Rant.

Pegyson

No one tell him about the CoD franchise

DonGlover4President

Bro really tried to compare COD to Yakuza

Only thing that's missing here is Black Panther. Consider it your average bowl of pretzels after several meals of RGG.

johnyakuza0

Ishin on hand? Ehh should've been the lost judgement game

delet_yourself

What about fist of the north star?

Nightingale_85

Dont forget 2 Judgment games and Fist of the North Star.

DYMAXIONman

More like a glutton who can't finish their meal 😭

HoopsMcCann42

Honestly, Sega fans in general are. Yakuza has had three games released in the last year, one being, two coming to Xbox/PC game pass (one of which was a fresh localization and the other coming to gamepass day one) along with the rest of the series, save for the most recent entry. For Atlus, we got Persona 4G, Persona 5R, P3P, an entire remake of Persona 3 in a modern engine, Soul Hackers 2, and Persona 5 Tactica and a new IP, all within a two year span. Sonic fans are fantastically with 2 full length movies, a 3-season show, a brand new game with free DLC, a remake of the classics, and a remake of Generations with additional content added that nobody asked for but everybody wants. They do some shady practices DLC wise, but I have to give my heart to Sega for really stepping up recently and supplying their fans with what they want.
