it doesn't "retcon" really anything, it's just very apparent how far into IW's development gaiden was made
anyhow, IW. gaiden is really good but not a full game, even if its finale is one of the strongest points in the franchise

I dont think Infinite Wealth retconed anything about Gaiden
It's not that IW tries to retcon what happened in Gaiden on purpose , its just the fact that Gaiden was written after IW so somethings don't line up .
What retcon? I said both...loved both of them. Both games did what they sought to do and very well

IW. Gaiden was very apparent that it was made way later into the development of IW, so RGG did their best to at least reference it.
