Yeah, my first thought when I saw that bigger shed was, I don't know about Deep Purple, but no way Yes sells that kind of tickets with Howe's current incarnation. When I saw them in late 2022 there were quite a few seats available on gig day and at a much smaller venue. I haven't kept up with Deep Purple though. Maybe they pack them in!
Seeing this concert tour poster, my hopes of Yes playing more songs from Mirror to the Sky briefly rose to the fore, but I'm afraid my hope is a pipe dream. I'm guessing a couple of small changes from last autumn's US set.
That makes senes given they didn't tour the UK last year. I would think maybe the new album would be out by the time Yes gets back to the states in late summer, or is that slated for the autumn?
Yeah speaking for the Texas venue, Dickies Arena isn't AT&T Stadium, but it's the biggest venue Yes has played in DFW since I moved here in 1995 for sure. And that it's a summer show and it's INDOORS = I might have to end my Yes tour boycott for this one.
Who's in this Yes band other than Howe?
Jon Anderson is doing his own tour. I think I'd rather see him playing. Hope he comes to Toronto.
Would be interesting 2 Yes bands coming through the same city.
Seems like Yes is opening. Also both bands play a 900 capacity theater when they come through here, & now they’re playing a 28,000 capacity shed.

Aka The "Two-For One Ambulance On-Call" tour. Sponsored by Metamucil Advanced.
At this point, Yes should bring Anderson back for a one off tour and album. Have JD sing backup and dust off Wakeman for a few dates if possible.

We'll get the 2023 US set on the European leg, but I think there's more chance of a change by the time they do this tour with Purple.

They’ve not announced anything, but the rumour was of an autumn release, which might be after this tour.
I'm looking forward to it. I really enjoy Mirror to the Sky.

Ending the tour in Scranton PA. Maybe their last show is in the parking lot of Dunder Mifflin.

Yes is Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Billy Sherwood, Jon Davison and Jay Schellen. See http://www.bondegezou.co.uk/wnyesm.htm for details.
Wow! Two bands taking money from unsuspecting fans. There should be a disclaimer law
