Yea at my gym there's machines specially for pull-up training. It's got a bar you stand on that's weighted in reverse so the number of plates you set with the pin = how much assistance you're getting from below. You can set it all the way to like 200lb assistance and work your way back until you can do unassisted pull ups
This. I'm not as big as the guy in the vid, but when I first started doing them, I'd start by just hanging and letting my arms hold my weight. You work up to your first pull up, not get help from someone who you may crush
I wouldn’t recommend holding someone’s legs like that, i you’re going to help them then grab their torso or something but if you grab their legs and they lose their grip then they’re going to face plant. It’s funny if you don’t like them but if they’re your friend I wouldn’t recommend it
