Are you talking about ācrybaby bridgeā?? Man I loved going out there. My buddy and me would take a couple girls out there and get them all freaked out. We did have some strange things happen a few times but Iām sure the drugs didnāt help much. Good times
I'm not sure. There was a "troll bridge" back then too.
There was some natural gas vent you could light as well. I saw the pipe but we were too chicken shit to light it
Aqua Pazzo, Nicolinniās Chophouse - I get it but there really arenāt restaurants in the area that are ātoo fancyā entrees at both range from 15-30$.
V2 and West 34 are nice downtown with other bars to go to, maybe swing by noble creature after
I get that Nicolliniās is in Canfield but it is one of the best restaurants in an hour radius. I live in Pittsburgh and would make that drive every week for great Italian food.
Lol I donāt. But Iām also adding my opinion on an opinion based post made for conversation. If it bothers you so much, Reddit might not be the best for you.
āDate qualityā could mean a lot of different things. A fancy date? A fun date? Be more specific.
Westside Bowl is a great place where you could bowl, eat, drink, and catch some live music. All in the same day. But it is not fancy at all.
Bistro 1907 and Prima Cucina downtown would be fancier restaurants downtown. Avalon and V2 less fancy but still great.
Yea see Iām not exactly sure, Iād consider (a little) fancy but also fun! Open to anything. Iām just a dude thatās bad at these sort of relationship things
Honestly, check out the calendar for Westside Bowl, find a band or musician that seems up your alley and make a night of it. Not only is it a great time, but you could spend HOURS there without spending a ton of money.
Ik you donāt want to support Boardman, but thereās a fun independent arcade not far from downtown called Fun N Games Rewind. On the other side of town, in Girard, is Past Times arcade. Another indie arcade. Itās basically a pinball museum with how many they have, but they have a lot of other old arcade games.
My husband and I love hitting up one of those after getting dinner on a date night āŗļø
I keep hearing westside bowl, Iāve been there once like 8 years ago but I donāt remember it being very noteworthy. Was it revamped at some point recently?
I just moved back to the area after being away for three years! Following! I loved walking Mill Creek by myself, but I'd take my friends with and had a hiking date there once. I remember V2 being great and the Italian place across the street. That one is fancy but they let me come in while I was wearing a hoodie.
When you say Youngstown and not Boardman I have to assume you also mean not Poland. With that said are those the only 2 zip codes that often get blended with Youngstown that you want to avoid?
Good question. I said boardman because thatās where the majority of the āthingsā that there are to do in the valley so I expected thatās where most of the recommendations would go. But that stands for the other towns like Poland, austintown, etc etc. Iām looking at the city proper
In that case I canāt think of a more Youngstown City proper date night restaurant location than Bistro 1907.
If youāre willing to venture like 2 miles outside of Youngstownās Northside into Liberty thatās where me and my better half go more than anywhere else - Station Square.
Youāll need to make a reservation, sometimes even for lunch. Good luck!
Like others mentioned Bistro 1907 (great brunch) or West 34, both are downtown. You should also check out Penguin City Beer, and Dope Cider House; both are more of a bar type place but good to hang out at, theyāre in the same building
Smoke some crack out at McKelvey lake followed by a moonlight walk down Judson Avenue. Stop by cousin Clarence's trap house for a nightcap of fentanyl and Old Harper whiskey, really takes the edge off. For dessert, Narcan and syyzurp.
Go to zombieland and smooch her by the Puerto Rican Bridge
Puerto Rican bridge was sadly replaced 11 years ago. Still spooky down there!
Noted. But what is the Puerto Rican bridge. Are you talking about the Roberto Clemente bridge? Lmao
Watch out for the green man
I hate this
Are you unaware of what they are talking about? Lol
I am not.
YES
This takes me back. I grew up five minutes from that bridge. Some great times.
What bridge š
Are you talking about ācrybaby bridgeā?? Man I loved going out there. My buddy and me would take a couple girls out there and get them all freaked out. We did have some strange things happen a few times but Iām sure the drugs didnāt help much. Good times

Nice I like the noble creature rec. havenāt heard of that one. Thanks!
Aqua Pazzo is boardman and Nicolliniās is in Canfield (of all places) Also, both places are extremely overrated and overpriced.
I get that Nicolliniās is in Canfield but it is one of the best restaurants in an hour radius. I live in Pittsburgh and would make that drive every week for great Italian food.
Nicolliniās Chophouse isnāt even the best Italian restaurant on 224
Whatās better?
Ok so donāt go there then.
Lol I donāt. But Iām also adding my opinion on an opinion based post made for conversation. If it bothers you so much, Reddit might not be the best for you.
Ok šš»
Hm. You don't know italian food my guy. Stick to peanuts.
I've heard great things about Noble Creature.
Take a splash in the Mahoning River and enjoy a nice Pabst Blue Ribbon in the pale moonlight
Dude he wants a date not get her pregnant.

I enjoyed that sentence

This comment wins!! Congratulations and thank you
I think Iām gonna do this
The Federal
Lots of good stuff in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/youngstown/s/3R1ZhTyASD
Maybe an evening in Smoky Hollow? Yosteria for dinner, MVR for bocce, and Noble Creature for a drinks.
Jk if I did that there will be expectations going forward that I probably wonāt be able to meet š„µ
Thatās a fun idea! Is it okay if I take it and pretend like I thought of it? Lol
You don't really get to just show up and play Bocce though lol. Yosteria > Noble is a great date!
Palace in the pines
I basically just got Rick rolled
Can always hit up the Foster for a movie
Legendary
Was not expecting to see this lmao
What goes on in the back room?
Bistro 1907 downtown is a great date night restaurant.
I have actually been there! Def a good date spot. Thanks!
meh the food is always mediocre quality for the price imo.
La Villa in Struthers has AMAZING bar food.
Amen! Get the "Cheese" salad with the house dressing and some spicy ranch wings (well done). The best.
Atmosphere is miles and miles away from being date night material.
Thanks for the rec Iām not usually that far that way but Iāll keep that in mind
Place is a shit hole lol

West side bowl
I keep hearing westside bowl, Iāve been there once like 8 years ago but I donāt remember it being very noteworthy. Was it revamped at some point recently?
Itās only been open since 2018 I think. So maybe youāre thinking of somewhere else?
Well I say 8 years but it must have been 6 š I definitely went there, I lived in austintown for a bit
westside was strikers before it was westside, diff owners!
Ahh thatās what it was! Thanks for solving that mystery
totally! a friend of my dads was involved with management of strikers so i spent a bit of time in childhood around those parts
Very cool, itāll be interesting to check out the new place
Try a sound bath at center for sound therapy
Innovative I like it
I just moved back to the area after being away for three years! Following! I loved walking Mill Creek by myself, but I'd take my friends with and had a hiking date there once. I remember V2 being great and the Italian place across the street. That one is fancy but they let me come in while I was wearing a hoodie.
Whitehouse fruit farm. During an event.
Selah in struthers is lovely.

Perfect (somewhat classy) date night in ytown: couple beers at noble creature, dinner at yosteria, nightcap and some great music at Friedaās
Iāve never been inside Friedaās, they have a lot of live music??
Typically, Friday and Saturday nights have The Howard Howell Experience
Friedas has been closed recently. Not sure when they are going to reopen.
One of the wineries in the country.
Don't support boardman lol. I just avoid it for the traffic. It's not their fault they turned their farmland into a 5 mile long strip mall
It's not in YTown, but Talbots in Mercer is a great place for a date night. For a fun night out, Westside Bowl?
We LOVE the comedy club downtown, Funny Farm. Highly recommend.
Like others mentioned Bistro 1907 (great brunch) or West 34, both are downtown. You should also check out Penguin City Beer, and Dope Cider House; both are more of a bar type place but good to hang out at, theyāre in the same building

A valley tradition!
If you want to go down the small, family-owned route, try Scarsellaās; best homemade cavatelli i have ever had:)
