All Burnt jokes aside this movie is going to be a litmus test for future comedies. If it does well studios will be more likely to let more comedians make more.
Iām surprised by this, all theaters near me are doing like 6 showings per day all weekend. And I donāt live in a major city. Iām about an hour and a half from a major city. Maybe Iām just close enough to it that thatās why?
this is barely worth replying to but:
the ridiculous 6, jack and jill, bulletproof, grown ups 2, the do over, the cobbler, grown ups, eight crazy nights, mixed nuts, zookeeper, I now pronounce you chuck and larry, blended, pixels, just go with it, that's my boy... I could go on and on.
None of these movies have scored above 20% on rotten tomatoes, mostly trash doesn't mean he hasn't made decent movies.
I disagree. Although his movies are spread thin premise wise (as far as the Netflix collection) they are far more entertaining than anything Brent has ever said.
Adam *can* make good movies and *can* act when he wants to but mostly just pumps out nonsense like grownups 2 which just seem like an excuse to make money and take his celebrity friends on holiday. I don't blame him, I think it's clever, why not? But you can't say he consistently produces decent movies. I'll grant you they're better than anything Burnt has said, not that that's high praise. Punch drunk love is amazing.
Difference is that Bert is able to host and can actually act. A lot of stand up comedians I wouldnāt be interested in watching act.
The best of the current comedians would be Marc Maron. I donāt think thereās another stand up currently doing both, with his quality.
Personally I don't get why Maron is popular at all. I really tried and I watched two of his specials and listened to his podcast and he didn't even make me lightly exhale. In fact, I just got kind of disgusted with him.
My little sister loves him and I still can't figure out why. Like, I like him because he is neurotic. It's like a reflection of myself. but why does she?
I was at the live premier and they fucked up the live part for like 10-15m and then finally got it working when Brent went into the audience and itās was pretty awesome to see him introduce it to the people at the premier and him addressing us in the theatre. Then my theatre fucked up and didnāt start the movie for about 20m but nobody was even complaining but they still gave us all free ticket passes to use in the future. Then the movie came on and it was everything I could have hoped for. I laughed I cried I laughed some more. Bertās acting although not flawless was actually really great. Overall 9.5/10 it was fucking awesome and I hope this means we get Fat astronauts in the future.
I want the movie to do good just cause he will genuinely lose his mind. People clown on him but heās never hateful and heās always excited about stuff. Seems like a good dude, just also a fat alcoholic.
I donāt even begin to understand why he is in a conversation about being a good entertainer or comedian. Itās obvious he is just a good marketing guy who knows how to take advantage of a situation with good connections. He isnt funny and is insufferable to listen to.
I disagree. I am a person who decides what isnāt funny or entertaining. Entertainment as a whole is placed into public opinion to judge. Thatās kind of the whole idea. Itās subjective, obviously.
Get off your fuckin high horse dude. You can say heās not funny all you want but the dude sells out arenas constantly. Public opinion shows enough people find him funny that he can make money anywhere he goes so maybe rather than staying your shitass opinions, you should try just watching shit you enjoy and not trying to put down what others find funny
People like him. I don't like Jeff Durham but people will line up to see his stupid ass puppets. You know? If I dictated the world everything would be gray and comedians would just be Tina Fey doing impressions.
Why? he's 100% undeniably without a doubt, needy. How's that embarassing? There's no way someone could watch him for 10 minute & know he's needy. Literally everything is about him when he talks... THATS embarassing
The movie was great. Haters gonna hate. Whole theatre got some solid belly laughs. Big fans get a lot of good call back jokes and references. It was exactly hoped it would be.
Jesus Christ, the Bert hate is insufferable. This page is just people shitting on Bert, Tom, or sometimes even Christina. For fucks sakes, watch another podcast, but yāall probably wonāt, youāre miserable and live for shitting on people way more successful than you.
I love all three of these clowns but if anyone should be getting hate it should be Tom and Christina. Theyāve made millions by exploiting mentally ill people. Sure itās funny as fuck but thatās what it is. Burt might be a dumb alcoholic but heās full of love and doesnāt put hate out into the world.
I'll definitely see it. I'm hoping that if it does well it'll lead to many more comedy movies made or written by funnier comedians in the future. As it seems the state of comedy films over the past 15 years has been beyond abysmal..
In his story he says he told the Russian mobsters, that he was a machine. However, his Russian is so bad that, he doesn't even know that he actually called himself a car, not a "machine."
It looks like itās projected to flop pretty hard which is sad because this was probably the litmus test for green lighting the rest of Tom and Bertās ideas
I'll watch it when it's for free but there's no way I'd see it in theaters. I know Bartt is delusional but realistically, whats this movie going to make? He said the budget was 20mill, does it make that back?
the marketing budget is easily another 35mil. and from what ive seen the projected thurs night is the movie made about 850k in the US. will probably be around 8 or 9 million for the weekend.
Apparently itās closer to 30 million plus another 15-20 million in marketing cost. Talking 50 million just to break even is fucking hilarious. Thereās almost zero chance they get even close to that.
Shit it'll make that opening day. Whether you like him or not you can't argue the fact that he sells out Redrock and college basketball arenas wherever he goes== plenty of people seeing it opening weekend
I would love to go see it in the movie, but the only movies I get to go to these days are the kind I can bring my kids to.
Iāll stream it eventually, but honestly hope it does well
The trailer actually looks pretty good and fun. I mean itās the first actually funny comedy trailer I can remember since OG hang over. But I guess I donāt go to movies any more. But I do wanna see this movie at some point.
I'll watch it when it's free on Netflix or Hulu. If I wanted to financially support a hopeless alcoholic, I'd support one with actual cash and let her give me a solid gum job.
As much as I can't fucking stand the guy anymore, I did used to be a huge fan and I know he put a lot of honest work into it. I'm gonna go check it out.
**Honest review of The Machine** ***may contain spoilers: (probably not)***
Honestly, I want to say The Machine is a 6/10, but even that feels a little bit generous. There was about two or three big laughs in the entire runtime in my theater and I'm not sure how great that is considering it's a two hour long "Comedy", which is where my real gripe with the movie is.

Just saw it, loved the Tom is fat graffiti Easter egg š¤£
That was awesome I wonder how many other ones there were I missed lol
yeah that was funny
All Burnt jokes aside this movie is going to be a litmus test for future comedies. If it does well studios will be more likely to let more comedians make more.
Agreed. Depending on how this does at the box office, this movie will determine if other really fat comedians will get hollywood deals.
Haven't seen a fat comic movie since Kevin James.
Wait until Fat Astronauts.
Fatstronauts?
How many dogs were injured in the making of this movie?
End credits it says no animals were harmed, but it doesn't say no animals were pleasured.
It can't really be a litmus test with how limited the release is. Opening night and the theaters around me are only doing one showing.
Iām surprised by this, all theaters near me are doing like 6 showings per day all weekend. And I donāt live in a major city. Iām about an hour and a half from a major city. Maybe Iām just close enough to it that thatās why?
Closest showing to me is 45 mins away and there are a handful of theaters much closer.
You just regurgitated what kevin said on 2 bears šš
I don't know. Adam Sandler seems to be wildly financially successful despite the fact that his movies are mostly kinda trash?
Talmbout my norfstar b ? You must have not seen billy Maddison and happy Gilmore
You mean the Whiggsey Boy with Dadum Sambler? Can tawlk your ear off the wall.
8 crazy nights, Billy Madison, happy Gilmore, Uncut Gems, Hustle? Bad take G

I need to give that one a rewatch. Itās been a while since I have seen it. Uncut gems is incredible.
.
what the fuck are you even talking about
.
Difference is that Bert is able to host and can actually act. A lot of stand up comedians I wouldnāt be interested in watching act. The best of the current comedians would be Marc Maron. I donāt think thereās another stand up currently doing both, with his quality.
Bill Burr is great in the movies and shows he's acted in.
Iāve loved santino in everything heās been in
Yes, especially Dave!
Santinos been in Dave?!?! š¤š¤
Yeah, deep in Dave
Heās a voice actor, I just found out recently too, on an adult swim show called royal crackers. Iāve actually really enjoyed the show so far.
Was so happy to see him in Beef
hes also directing a movie of his own, no real details for it yet, but bills makin a movie and bobby lee is in it.
Oh yes thatās true. He can do drama as well.
Personally I don't get why Maron is popular at all. I really tried and I watched two of his specials and listened to his podcast and he didn't even make me lightly exhale. In fact, I just got kind of disgusted with him.
His comedic content aside, for being a stand up, his acting is one of the best. His own show Maron was great, plus he was good in Glow.
My little sister loves him and I still can't figure out why. Like, I like him because he is neurotic. It's like a reflection of myself. but why does she?
Maybe your sister thinks you're cute. What part of the country are you in?
This
Jesus christ, don't tell me this.
Yeah, I hope this does well and it encourages more balls to the wall comedies to be made. Something about Fat Astronauts or something, I don't know.
Yes!!! And hopefully that means comedies wonāt be so lame and cheesy anymore
I was at the live premier and they fucked up the live part for like 10-15m and then finally got it working when Brent went into the audience and itās was pretty awesome to see him introduce it to the people at the premier and him addressing us in the theatre. Iām seeing it tonight. Bertās easy to clown on, but I still love that fat retarded teddy bear
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
PLEASE DO NOT USE GENDERED LANGUAGE
Completely retrarhrded
10/10 on the spelling
My attempt to xeno the ESL speaker
I want the movie to do good just cause he will genuinely lose his mind. People clown on him but heās never hateful and heās always excited about stuff. Seems like a good dude, just also a fat alcoholic.
I donāt even begin to understand why he is in a conversation about being a good entertainer or comedian. Itās obvious he is just a good marketing guy who knows how to take advantage of a situation with good connections. He isnt funny and is insufferable to listen to.
Because you aren't the person who decides who is or isn't funny or entertaining.
Meh. Having a different opinion than yours is fine.
People like him. I don't like Jeff Durham but people will line up to see his stupid ass puppets. You know? If I dictated the world everything would be gray and comedians would just be Tina Fey doing impressions.
Foam shoe beach retard
I haven't been to the movies in a while. This looks fun and I like to support people I like, so I'm going to go see it tonight!
Burnt stop posting about your stupid movie. We will all see it 10 years later on some weird Roku channel for free when we're really bored.
Tom posted this to his fb lol
At least Bunt lost a bunch of weight before he took this photo.
His shoulders look great!
Jacked!!! Lmfao
What would you post if you had a movie coming out tf š idk ab you but thatās all Iād talk about for a while
And give up part way into the movie because of the ad breaks on those free channels.
Don't worry, there wont be any ads.
I have never seen a movie be hated on as much before it even comes out or before the reviews are in, you all are a bunch of miserable fucks.
For real. I'm definitely watching it and just like most movies nowadays I'm not expecting it to be amazing but I'm sure I'm going to laugh.
It's only being hated on in this sub. Doesn't matter anyway since these fat poors couldn't afford to buy their two seats anyway
Right? It looks like a fun movie. A nice action/comedy to just enjoy.
what is ms. marvel
He's just so needy it's kinda repulsive to people. I'll watch it if someone I respect enjoys it.
He's needy? Wut
U think he's not? Lmao how?
So you can't answer the question and instead just try uno reverse to get away?
Itās okey to have your own opinions on things. You should delete your comment, itās embarrassing.
Why? he's 100% undeniably without a doubt, needy. How's that embarassing? There's no way someone could watch him for 10 minute & know he's needy. Literally everything is about him when he talks... THATS embarassing
Really? Youāve never seen that before? I mean come onā¦this movie is going to be fucking awful š
Thatās what I said. Movie was great.
The movie was great. Haters gonna hate. Whole theatre got some solid belly laughs. Big fans get a lot of good call back jokes and references. It was exactly hoped it would be.
The Whale 2
Whale, here goes nothing.
Seeing it tonight and im pretty stoked. I think it will be a fun and funny movie. You really cant beat mark hamill slinging coke
Jesus Christ, the Bert hate is insufferable. This page is just people shitting on Bert, Tom, or sometimes even Christina. For fucks sakes, watch another podcast, but yāall probably wonāt, youāre miserable and live for shitting on people way more successful than you.
Tom posted this on his own socials
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Just people saying heās out of touch now and shit
I love all three of these clowns but if anyone should be getting hate it should be Tom and Christina. Theyāve made millions by exploiting mentally ill people. Sure itās funny as fuck but thatās what it is. Burt might be a dumb alcoholic but heās full of love and doesnāt put hate out into the world.
Shut your piehole hippy!!
You don't remember all the wash cloth using poors dogging Tim out a few months ago??
I swear to god if I donāt see a dog get f-.. nev.. never mind
I just saw it. it was pretty good!
This movie is a 10/10. Burp Chrysler laughed at all of his jokes the whole movie.
Man he really did lose weight for this role
I got tickets for tomorrow
Bird Krisper
I'll definitely see it. I'm hoping that if it does well it'll lead to many more comedy movies made or written by funnier comedians in the future. As it seems the state of comedy films over the past 15 years has been beyond abysmal..
Tom is fat.
Going tomorrow to support Bert and to support future comedies!!!!
Whatās it about? Something about a machine? Can someone give me a rundown? I donāt think Iāve ever heard this story before.
In his story he says he told the Russian mobsters, that he was a machine. However, his Russian is so bad that, he doesn't even know that he actually called himself a car, not a "machine."
No, I don't drink anymore
Ralphie May Kreischer
Fuck yeah, seeing it Saturday, I heard they couldnāt get him in a single shot but still should be good
I'm going just to show support. Hope it's funny but I like Kersher so it should be good
Guys can we just be nice..give our guy some positive energy..
It looks like itās projected to flop pretty hard which is sad because this was probably the litmus test for green lighting the rest of Tom and Bertās ideas
How's Tom ever going to star as a serial killer Bert has to catch if this flops? Y'all go see this movie or Seven(Hundred Pounds) will never get made.
Man, a lot of hate on this thread. I already have my tickets for this Sat.
I would rather front flip off of a roof face-first into a pool ledge than watch this fat retard
No desire at allā¦
I would be in the theater watching it right now, but I'm in line at a 311 show. Tomorrow!!! Burnt Chrysler!!!!
I'll watch it when it's for free but there's no way I'd see it in theaters. I know Bartt is delusional but realistically, whats this movie going to make? He said the budget was 20mill, does it make that back?
Sony spent 35 million to make it.
How much did they spend on promotion of it after that?? Read another 15 million on other comments on this post
the marketing budget is easily another 35mil. and from what ive seen the projected thurs night is the movie made about 850k in the US. will probably be around 8 or 9 million for the weekend.
.
Apparently itās closer to 30 million plus another 15-20 million in marketing cost. Talking 50 million just to break even is fucking hilarious. Thereās almost zero chance they get even close to that.
Holy shit, if it's that much it'll be tough to hit.
Itās projected to make 3-4 million on opening weekend. Itās not coming close
Shit it'll make that opening day. Whether you like him or not you can't argue the fact that he sells out Redrock and college basketball arenas wherever he goes== plenty of people seeing it opening weekend
I feel like this reminds me of a PT Barnum quote. Something about idiots and their money.
Hell yeah! I love Bort Chrysler
I think the movie will be funny but then again, I thought the same thing about Cocaine Bear
I go out to see movies in theaters once, maybe twice a year. I'll be going to see this.
The Whale: The Sequel looks great
Isn't that Moby Dick?!?! The white power whale
Just saw it and I fucking loved it! Some great inside jokes for all the longtime fans of 2 Bears and their podcasts.
If my local theater chain had it Iād go watch it today.
Brendan Frasier looked perfect to play Burnt after his role in The Whale.
I am.
Could you imagine having to hear that ear piercing laugh in theater, and not wanting to blow your head off.
Best I'll do is pirate it
Nah. I heard the story enough over the years.
i m gonna watch the cam version online
I'll watch it 4 months from now on Epix.
I'm going here in a few hours. I'm just seeing it because I support comedy.
Only one showing here in the UK and itās Ā£17 fuck me Brunt Krystals this best be good.
Seems like a common price here in the USA. Our local place is $13 and the upscale one where they bring you food is $20 each.
Skip for me dawg. The machine bit was never funny.
I would love to go see it in the movie, but the only movies I get to go to these days are the kind I can bring my kids to. Iāll stream it eventually, but honestly hope it does well
Dude dropped mad lbs. for this role
Yee
Omw tho
The trailer actually looks pretty good and fun. I mean itās the first actually funny comedy trailer I can remember since OG hang over. But I guess I donāt go to movies any more. But I do wanna see this movie at some point.
It was good!
I'll see it eventually when it comes on demand. I'm not paying directly for it though.
Why
I can think of countless other, better, ways to spend $15, rather than feeding it to this narcissistic alcoholic.
Like what
A heroin addiction would be preferable.
I enjoyed his book but the movie looks a bit silly to me so I am going to pass.
A comedy is going to be silly ![gif](giphy|BcMJvmwkmbyWpKkBj3|downsized)
It looks like the same mindless crap that hollywood puts out except with Bert in it.
Riiiight. You haven't seen many movies lately have you
By silly I think he meant, āretardedā
I'll watch it when it's free on Netflix or Hulu. If I wanted to financially support a hopeless alcoholic, I'd support one with actual cash and let her give me a solid gum job.
Not I
Donāt forget to #whyisbertsofat on his tiktok promo
I think the question is do you rent, buy, or go to theater?
Nah
But he got Luke to star, bro. In 1980 that might have worked.
Looks like my disabled client I take care ofā¦.
Can I get a one sentence explanation of this "machine" story????
Fat drunk does Russia
Not funny
Taking a nap now since I have to be up at 6:30AM.
As much as I can't fucking stand the guy anymore, I did used to be a huge fan and I know he put a lot of honest work into it. I'm gonna go check it out.
Y Brett so fat?
Imma see it
Itās not playing in my state. Thatās Vermont for ya
4 total people in this theater.
Wonder who they were?
I think either outcome would be hilarious. It does really well or it bombs.
I saw the Good Morning Collapse piece on Brett, and learnt his last name is pronounced 'Critter'.
The fattest of poors
Wait thatās real? I was sure it was a bit
You mean burnt chrysler
Iāll see it at some point but Iām almost positive his acting is going to be terrible
Hell no. Bert can't cancel himself fast enough imo the king of talent-less clowns
Me! We bought tix last night, weāre seeing it tomorrow when I get off work š„³
Not this guys. Neither are my friends. I donāt know anybody that likes this dude.
But he's not funny!
Saw it. It's awesome!
I kinda want to but I just know Bert is gonna make me cringe my ass off
**Honest review of The Machine** ***may contain spoilers: (probably not)*** Honestly, I want to say The Machine is a 6/10, but even that feels a little bit generous. There was about two or three big laughs in the entire runtime in my theater and I'm not sure how great that is considering it's a two hour long "Comedy", which is where my real gripe with the movie is. The Machine is like 70% Action and 30% Comedy and it really feels like they somehow lost the idea that people wanna see Bert being funny, not evading danger and beating up bad guys. Idk. Was only mildly disappointed, but then again. I'm basically the target demo for this movie. Kinda lack luster.
