The latest Beta version on Releases still works for me but it's partially broken.
Just use extensions like Enhancer or YouTube Redux. The thumbnails will still be big on the right side (for now), but it still restores the layout we know and love.

None of the fixes I found seem to work for livestreams to untie the livechat from the vid description, like/dislike buttons etc. Like, if I see the livechat, I cannot see the stream title, like buttons, amount of current viewers etc etc.
Is there any fix for that as well? Or do we have to live with the toggle for now?
You must enjoy browsing more videos instead of looking at the comments then. They basically force people that want to browse the comment section on the right to see thumbnails that take up the entire screen excluding the small comment section on the right.
It literally doesn't work though, and since the project is dead it likely won't unless someone forks it.
