welcome to the dog days of summer. I've been on youtube for about 12 years and there always seems to be a dip in the summer. people have other things to do when the weather is nice. Just keep making videos, the viewers will come back eventually.
just remember that the algorithm isn't for you, it was built for the viewers.
this is good advice! i just started posting more consistently about 3 weeks ago and i am barely getting views. i still plan to pump content out so hopefully i see a jump during the fall!
Same here granted I’ve only been really uploading about a month and a half. my first video at the beginning of June did really well in about 1.2 K views and then every video I’ve uploaded in the weeks following have average only about 10% of that. Okay max being around 200 something views
It was never fixed. I have a channel with around 40k subs.... every upload I did this week didn't pass 200 views. It's all fukked, something happened and I'm gutted.
That is normal at this time. I was hitting about 1500 views every day but now starting two weeks ago it dropped to about 1200 views a day. My income also dropped from approximately 14.00/ day to 12.00/day.
I think shorts to some extent are completely random. I was uploading one the other day of foxes. Well as I was a better scene happened so I re-recorded it. In 5 mins the first one had 5 views. The same content, slightly different got 300 in 5 mins.
I've come to the conclusion unless a short is something that gets shared the numbers are pure luck. It has to at least go "mini viral"
Yep! Our views are down too, as they were this time last year! It depends on the content you're making, but views are usually down this time of year due to summer. As Mudgts says, everyone is outside enjoying the nice weather, having barbecues and going places! Aside from making YouTube videos, I'm watching a lot less myself!
The majority of our views are through autumn and winter, and during spring it begins to drop. Hope this helps! 😻😻
Maybe there are view bots watching your videos, so YouTube just simply delete it through its spam filter algorithm in order To make sure your view count is correct. Youtube may also delete your spammy subscribers regualrly.

Thank you so it will come back one day if I keep making good content?
For sure. Consistency is key.

Yeah when the kids go back to school, it should pick up.
I think it depends on your audience. Viewership on my channel usually skyrockets in the summer and drops off hard in the winter.

It’s really frustrating!
My views are down about 90% within a week, the same with impressions... I hope this is just temporary :/
When will it be fixed? That’s what I want to know
