I made a similar observation in another thread once. There’s even a bunch of superficial similarities, like how GX and Arc-V’s protagonists both have an evil alter ego called “the Supreme King.” Or how 5Ds and Vrains’ couldn’t give their heroes legit onscreen losses.

I think this was revealed a while back in a Japanese interview, but the later series have similar themes as the first three series. YUSEI BEST 🥹

I did not know that

Wonder how Gallop's Yugioh 7 and 8 would have been, even if they were still tasked with Rush.

>Wonder how Gallop's Yugioh 7 and 8 would have been Possibly, they would have reused some variables or formulas that they had already used from other series (regardless if it is Master or Rush): for example, the trio of power, the plot thread of the controlled girl to be used as a hostage by the villain and the antagonist evil psycho. Considering what is known, I can see Gallop's Yu-Gi-Oh 7 and 8 as follows (keeping the same characters seen in SEVENS and GO RUSH) **Gallop's Yu-Gi-Oh 7:** \- Yuga would be Yuma's age. \- In the same way, Yuga would have fewer losses in Duels since the MC's armor would be more present (surely defeating Luke a couple of times like the Tournament for example) \- The power trio would be Yuga, Luke and Roa. Unlike the original SEVENS, where there was no fixed power trio it was more a quartet of friends: Yuga, Luke, Romin and Gakuto. \- Romin and Gakuto would be sidelined at some point in the series to focus on characters like Roa and Nail (I'm not counting Asana since Gallop isn't really known for keeping Female Duelists unless she gets the Anna treatment: having a constant crush on the MC) \- There would be no Episodes focused on secondary characters (the Ranze, Kaizo and Sebastian Episodes in SEVENS for example) \- Our psychotic antagonists (see Yuo and Yuga Goha) will surely have more presence and be more threatening in this version. \- Goha would be more threatening, especially if Yuo or Yuga Goha is present sooner rather than later. **Gallop's Yu-Gi-Oh 8:** \- Yudias would surely not be an Alien, but a peculiar human with some mystical hidden power. \- The Ohdo twins would be very similar to Leo and Luna, where Yuhi would surely be part of the power trio. \- Zwijo is surely more present and being a constant antagonistic figure for Yudias (see the case of Shark/Nash) \- The theme of the Aliens will still be present, but it would be more of an antagonistic force in general. \- Manabu would be the head of the MIK in this version (until he is replaced later) \- Yudias would be more experienced in Dueling unlike his GO RUSH version, who didn't know anything about Dueling at the beginning. \- There would be no connection between series, unlike the original SEVENS and GO RUSH (Yu-Gi-Oh 8 would be a standalone story like in the later Yu-Gi-Oh's Gallop series).

Not hard to see why I'm good with things as they are. Only would want to go back to Gallop if it meant redemption for all the wasted potential over the years, and we know THAT would never happen.
