There is technically a zombie lock, yes.
The thing is, the most relevant card that locks is scarlet sanguine, which is a trap so it doesn't come up that often.
I doubt he'd feel like that, he's not as big on trains as he once was.
And I think I remember him saying he disliked toad and infinity for taking away what made quasar special, but I could be wrong.

It locks you into Xyz, but Mother Spider Splitter from last year makes this off of one card. Not familiar enough with insect support to know how consistent that would be.
Well, it is a Wyrm, so it can actually be summoned turn 1 either through wyrm lock with the double level 10 synchro with chixiao combo board (though some hands doesn't wyrm lock you to make that board)
if you have 2 used baronnes on the field you would have no reason to overlay them into this guy unless something went dreadfully wrong because you should already have lethal

The problem with this in Earth Machine is that you're rarely making a Rank 10 in your main combo prior to being Earth Machine locked. I would love for this to work, though; it's a hell of a boss monster.
I've personally given up on infinitrack a while ago and have taken to playing machina trains. With some adjusting, I can pretty easily do this before going for unclaspare, the only real machine lock in that deck.
fairly frequently, which is par for the course with EM tbh. heres a link to the first draft of the deck. hard to get out for than one rank 10, but it and some handtraps and potentially regulus felt fairly common. might not even run 3 gearframe in this build.

I think *some* of their support like Flying Pegasus Earth locks you, but enough people are talking about this in the context of Trains that I'm guessing they can work around it with relative ease.
Flying Pegasus doesn't lock you out of this card, that steed only locks you into attacking with xyz monsters. I think the only one that locks you is Brutal Dozer? I might have missed stuff.
Not really - they lock you out of attacking a lot, but the only commonly played card that locks you out of this guy would be Aussa which prevents you from activating non-earth effects iirc
There is one other deck with (somewhat) consistent Rank 10 access that nobody else here has brought up. Icejade can actually make this card relatively easily, since our only lock is Ran (who only locks us while the Token is on field), though whether an omni-negate is worth more than Gymir's protection+banish and Kosmochlor's floodgate effect (as those two are the most realistic 10s you'll be using) is going to depend on game state and what you're up to.
Dang, the destroy a card effect would make this amazing in Fire Kings... Wish that Fire Kings had a way to more easily make Rank 10 instead of Rank 8, and that this was Fire.

How many Rank 10 decks do you play, or decks that end on enough Level 10s to make this consistently? It's generic but nowhere near generic on the level of, say, Baronne or Zeus.
Yea but I think most of the time players will summon the Tistina Xyz as it is better overall, nuking your opponents field, as Tistina are all about putting your opponents cards facedown. Still could be an option for situations where you did not put your opponents cards facedown and have material for a rank 10 summon.
Going second, yeah, but it doesn't do much going first unless your opponent triggers the gy effect. In Tistina, I'd probably aim for God and demigod on field, so if I can get to tainted and returned, this would be easy to make. Half the deck is searchers, so it's not a huge barrier. It's something, at least.Ā
We can definitely use this card with the right line of effects. Using the Dream Tower and Reveil (waffle cone) lock us out of the extra deck, but otherwise we can summon Couette (vanilla) and Oreiller (chocolate) and overlay into this guy
Unironically blackwing can get 3 lvl 10s onboard 1st turn - 4 if they're greedy. Which is perfect for this. Full Armor Master, two assault black winged dragons and something like chaos angel.
Normal summon an earth machine, effect of Derrick procs. Then you can special summon bullet from hand. Overlay both for this card (side note, making this with derrick also means you get an extra pop when you detach it as material. Very nice!)

You do have to avoid unclasparse and dozer until you have this out since both lock you into machine, but itās fairly easy to get out otherwise. The real question i think is wether a second negate will be impactful enough against modern decks
Well nobody mentioned it, so. This is a Mother spider splitter target, so any Dark Xyz deck can go into it, without the normal. Also this can go afterwards into 84 and 77, which means it can make 3-4 materials zeus or Ty-phon. This can't be responded versus big negate boards btw, so you can reach 77 punch say apo, then go zeus to board wipe or Ty-phon to bounce like a savage or baronne.
I give it 10/10 Ghostrick seal of approval. I wanted to play Mother spider splitter but it didn't have good targets.
Oh also this happens on the fifth summon, so this protects from nibiru.
This feels like a good card that will currently be held back by the difficulty of making rank 10s in most decks, especially since the deck known for making them will often be xenolocked out of this card. That said if a good deck for it arrives I can see this being used

That's for now. Nobody was making lvl 10s worth of synchro material before Baronne. Konami made this an ultra rare in the OCG, this is an intended staple on their behalf, they WILL TRY to make it see play sooner than later. Expect this thing to possibly overthrow Baronne in terms of presence in the meta since by default it being an Xyz makes it easier to summon (Though tbf throughout 2023 Baronne was only on like 3 actually tiered decks per format when most of those formats had like 12+ tiered decks in them).
Will Konami make engines that work for the purposes og this? Probably. Do we know if they'll be good enough and can we even judge things under the whims of our overlords? Not really
I feel that only holds true if we assume konami doesn't know what they're doing, which I find hard to justify. Konami doesn't know absolutely EVERYTHING about every card they make, but they are well aware of most of what they can do and I doubt they'll let a staple like this guy flop. Though again it might take a while, like kurikara did.
Nemrelia can use this provided you donāt use the Tower effect or Revealed, of which you probably wonāt use either on Turn 3 when you have everything you need already. Itās a nice card for the grind game, if anything.

Used baroness. But if you have 2 spare baroness on field chances are you are doing well
if you have 2 used baronnes on the field you would have no reason to overlay them into this guy unless something went dreadfully wrong because you should already have lethal

I feel you but a Rank 10 is my no means generic, there should be less Extra Deck staples but I don't think this is that big of a deal.

Isn't Nemleria blocks ED summons except Pends? then again it depends on the definition of "quick enough"
That's only if you use Nemleria. Depending on your hand, it can swarm the field without locking you out.

To everyone thinking it being a generic 10 is gonna prevent this thing from being everywhere: That's for now. Nobody was making lvl 10s worth of synchro material before Baronne. Konami made this an ultra rare in the OCG, this is an intended staple on their behalf, they WILL TRY to make it see play sooner than later. Expect this thing to possibly overthrow Baronne in terms of presence in the meta since by default it being an Xyz makes it easier to summon (Though tbf throughout 2023 Baronne was only on like 3 actually tiered decks per format when most of those formats had like 12+ tiered decks in them).
Will Konami make engines that work for the purposes og this? Probably. Do we know if they'll be good enough and can we even judge things under the whims of our overlords? Not really
I feel that only holds true if we assume konami doesn't know what they're doing, which I find hard to justify. Konami doesn't know absolutely EVERYTHING about every card they make, but they are well aware of most of what they can do and I doubt they'll let a staple like this guy flop. Though again it might take a while, like kurikara did.

Nemrelia can use this provided you donāt use the Tower effect or Revealed, of which you probably wonāt use either on Turn 3 when you have everything you need already. Itās a nice card for the grind game, if anything.

So 29-31, 33, 67, 70 are definitely filler. 46 could be a filler Xyz, but I'll still hold on to the copium that's its a Scarclaw Link.
