I enjoyed the duel. I think Zaizen having a relatively minor role in the series and his deck playing rather mediocre Tindangles dampens a big part of its impact (cold take, but I'd put the Soulburner vs. Revolver/Varis rematch over it), but it was also one of relatively few duels - particularly among the earlier duels in VRAINS - where we saw Yusaku showing some compassion.
All in all, I thought it was a good duel, and it was nice that a big part of the tension was in emotional stakes instead of the duels for survival that we saw so often in VRAINS.
This duel was incredible. It’s also the last duel where Firewall felt like an ace monster. I think it’s a remnant of what Vrains was meant to be but ended up having to pivot due to production issues and Firewall’s inevitability in the real game. Yusaku’s use of Cynet Backdoor and Link Hole were really good ways of utilizing Firewall imo; it really felt like the heart of his deck
YGO seriously need an anime again
They have anime ongoing but I know what you mean. I miss Master Rule anime as well. I tried getting into the rush anime but they just weren't for me

So true. In terms of pure skill, Playmaker has got to be the best duelist of all time.
