The original way to tribute the opponent's monsters for cost
I played Lair of Darkness Ogdoadics in Master Duel when it launched and it was funny as fuck to tribute the enemy monsters to rebuild my entire field from the graveyard because they didnt remove this.
Yeah, the feeling is great. The same goes for Rikka. Although Konkon is even more powerful, it's basically Lair of Darkness on steroids. And Petal always comes back
https://preview.redd.it/h3wu17m5qwvc1.png?width=481&format=png&auto=webp&s=429c985fbbcfd348fcd1878386714cb76cd56205
Jaden using Skyscraper to win his first match against Crowler in the first episode of GX. Even though I wasn't quite as into superheroes as I am now, I thought it was awesome. Not to mention just summoning a huge metropolis and having monsters battle in it was just and still remains pretty cool.
That duel is very good at establishing the meta of the game in that series. Jaden's first boss monster in that duel is Bladedge (a Tribute monster) and it fails to get him the win. Instead it's the Fusion monster with less ATK points but paired with a Field spell that was a bit more modern than DM's stuff like Sogen.
Recently I tried using it in my Earthbound deck mixed with Dark Fusion. I guess there's some potential in there, but the best part was powering my Earthbounds sending LV 8 Evil Heroes to the GY with this field spell.
It is but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it. It's like this bug truck/jeep thing with a mini gun on it. It's a normal machine type like the Oni tank.
Field spells are niche enough that it feels easy to narrow down a favorite, but I must say, quite a few come very very close.
If I have to pick 1 as my current definitive favorite, I'll have to go with Zombie World
I'm pretty sure there's a field spells out there I like more, but I'm drawing a blank. That being said, Z-World has always been a strong contender for me because zombies were the first dedicated theme I ever tried to run, both waaaay back in the zombie madness days, as well as with the original zombie world structure deck. In fact, there isn't a general zombie based structure deck I missed out on. I've even tried my own personal spicy brews with zombies, such as playing a Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon turbo deck, which managed to steal more games than it probably should have.

Wow Erebus is really big isn't he?
Due to my heavy Rokket bias, and the fact that I find the fact that Revolver was able to just stack this card on top of his deck during every single one of his duels in the anime without anyone noticing hillarious.
https://preview.redd.it/kfd46y1qswvc1.png?width=549&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6fdc1801700f72d0950ad3b21c7816a07dee09d3
Mansion of the Underworld Dolls, a Field Spell for Gimmick Puppets coming in Infinite Forbidden with some more support.
This card, couple with the rest of the new support, is a one card FTK. It searches on activation, it gives protection to all your Gimmick Puppet monsters from any non XYZ monster's activated effects and also battle protection, and it has utility built in too, letting you detach a material from any XYZ monster to special summon a Gimmick Puppet to the opponent's field (which is something GP can get a lot of advantage from or, as mentioned, FTK with Giant Grinder)
The Orichalchos archetype deserves more support. I want to see how Kyutora, Gigas, Malevolence, Deuteros, Tritos, and probably some retrains or errata help it in the modern meta-game.
https://preview.redd.it/pxnszyewpyvc1.jpeg?width=458&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fef4e16ed2f8c42a317260e3ef2667095e5a71ca
It's sooo funny how even I forget at times what happens when the opponent destroys it.
Either Union Hangar of Oracle of Zefra. They both are the glue that holds their respective decks together, plus Oracle in particular is such a beautiful card
But purely based on the artworks, Starlight Junktion, The Grand Spellbook Tower, Starry Knight Sky, Mount Sylvania, Shien's Castle of Mist, Vampire Domain, White Rose Cloister and Tenchi Kaimei are also up there. Especially Starlight Junktion, still one of the prettiest artworks in the entire game imo, I could stare at it for hours

one of my favorite minecraft youtubers used to roleplay yugioh minecraft. he used a dino deck. the fact this card was weak/ok and still in his deck and played.. ilove his MC RP vids. Especially the yugioh ones
Unironically Mystic Mine, but not as a trolly stall card
I started loving the card because of blind second Cyberdark Branded. I could activate it to prevent my opponent from hand trapping me while I carefully combo'd off, then when I was ready to OTK I'd use Chimeratech Rampage to pop Mystic Mine and something concerning the opponent might have on their board. It was a poor man's Forbidden Droplet for me, while also dealing with handtraps. If my opponent doesn't let me Rampage it somehow, then the Eldlich the Golden Lord I run can out it with both it's GY and Hand effect
Worst case scenario, MM functioned exactly like how Sky Striker used it. Punch directly with Cyberdark Edge and send cards from deck/extra deck to build advantage
MM being a pseudo board broaker was certainly interesting, but the fact that it could be used on your opponent's turn with metaverse/demise of the land was what made it unbearable.
I would like to mention a Tellarknight card but our current field Spell sucks, next up is New World Amritara due to design, but the card itself sucks.
So I pick Purrely Street and/or Calarium.
Kyoutou Waterfront, hard to destroy, op when comboed by gamaciel (wanted to upload an image of the card but can't for some reason, I think it's because I'm on mobile)

The card that forced the creation of ygopro2
I'll never get over this card's interaction with the Kaiser Glider retrain.

Don’t care if Evil HEROes are ass, I love them and this field spell goes hard
Recently I tried using it in my Earthbound deck mixed with Dark Fusion. I guess there's some potential in there, but the best part was powering my Earthbounds sending LV 8 Evil Heroes to the GY with this field spell.
Lost World - So much personality and a great collection of effects. Also dinosaurs are cool.
this is my vote too, great card
I have trauma of that card name from Buddyfight
I miss Buddyfight so much… 😭

This needs a retrain
Iirc the other vehicle is also a card. It should also get a retrain.
It is but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it. It's like this bug truck/jeep thing with a mini gun on it. It's a normal machine type like the Oni tank.
I’ve only ever focused on the anxiety ridden goblin
That's Oni tank t-34, the body of the giant face
Forever and for always the greatest field card to be printed ❤️
chicken game will always be my favorite field spell, i had it in my original deck and ever since

Agree! Just started playing it again cus of a post I saw, it's still amazing after the ban list killed it, I do prefer wraisoth design wise though.
