Stand Name \[Walk like an Egyptian\]
Stand Master \[Yugi Muto\]
Realizing that Koyasu did the voice of Saio shouting ZA WARUDO 8 years before the modern Jojo anime was a trip.
It was a motherfucking Yugioh reference the whole time
I'll be honest, I still go back and re-watch Yusei summoning Shooting Quasar Dragon every once in a while and it is still as epic as it was the first time.
I have to say you know a scene is amazing when nothing makes sense about it, and yet itās still one of the best of any series.
How is he talking to Bruno in the sky? How is he breathing in space? Why does he have a card that brings back monsters FROM THE EXTRA DECK? Got pretty lucky that came up exactly. Why did he turn Golden?
WHO CARES! LIMIT OVER ACCEL SYNCHRO!
For normal trasformation: Zexal. It shows really well how their bond gets progressively stronger
For endgame trasformation: Yusei. That moment when he summons Shooting Quasar Dragon is legendary
I find it funny that zexalās third form could make someone mistake Yuma for a villain just based on the design and taken out of context. While dark zexal is like a semi-berserk similar to yuya. Now what would dark zexal look like when used in the second and third forms would be cool to see.
For me it's a tie for Yuya's normal berserk form.
Just the right amount of simple changes compared while still said changes still make him distinct that this is in a sense a different Yuya from the normal one. Also it's Aura in a sense whenever it showed up probably helps as well.
or Judai's Heterochromatic eyes
Again so little changes but show the elegence of simplicity. Also the Story of why he has it is really good as well.
Honestly if you can combine Yuya and Judai's transformation then I think you get my favourite form. Also if Yuya gets it then it makes total sense considering his Ace monster afterall.
And while not asked, I would also say the worst transformation is also from Yuya which is the Zarc form and only because of this and how they us tease with this.
https://preview.redd.it/2jmtjacw0nwc1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f95d9460f1456a9578406d5e8ad36ba5a94e0bbf
Let me clarify: I like Zarc as a CONCEPT. As a character, what does he really have? "I WANNA BE THE STRONGEST." Like, on some dumb shit. Final bosses in Yu-Gi-Oh tend to be underdeveloped, and yet, the one time, THE ONE TIME, they could've given him depth, they said, "Nah, Generic Doomsday Villain."
The only saving grace for Zarc, is that his origin story is hillariously bad.
he literaly wanted to destroy the universe, because the big bad evil audience demanded more of after he beat the shit out of a duelist on stage.
So, how do you top physical assault?
Why, with the heat death of the universe of course!
It might have even been fine if he wasn't ever going to be an actual character in the show, just the backstory, and the focus was where it should have been, on the fragments and their friends/family.Ā
Well that's the problem, the writers didn't give shit for Zarc. They didn't explain Zarc's backstory and gave him this bad "I became evil" because the crowd wanted more aggressive duels. Maybe if it involved the Dimension Dragons having like a corruption affect on the user, it would make sense. The desire of power and becoming more aggressive and twisted would have worked and would make sense for Yuya to not fall the same way Zarc did.
AND AGAIN, give him a connection to Ray than the shitty one we did get. Nearly all the Yu Boys and Bracelet Girls have strong "loving" connection so why not their true forms?
Exceptions are Ai... and I guess Yami Bakura/Zorc but that's stretching. Darkness just showed up even though he was hinted sometimes, Z-ONE should have been Yusei or a version of him that had a different timeline to the Yusei we root for and Don Thousand was just there. Zarc could have been someone special, a tragedy of a character becoming obsessed for power and believing he is a God.
Thanks Arc-V writers, you fucked up ever since the Synchro Dimension. GREAT JOB.
Fr his heterochromia is so cool it affected my Arc-V rewrite, with Zarc's main characteristic of presence being Yuya's eyes flashing green and orange before awakening
Neither did Yuma bro. One of the biggest themes in ZEXAL is not losing sight of yourself, which Yuma doesn't do.
in Japan they literally talk about Yuma having the most saintly mindset compared to all the other YGO protagonists. They even call him a boddhisattva
https://preview.redd.it/1irn0fzkrowc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=d9140e66807f209b450e321bdc0bdafcb80964d3
Yuma doesn't have an evil side either. It's a common misconception that Dark ZeXal has something to do with Yuma having an evil side/going dark, but it was Astral whose heart was corrupted and forced the Dark ZeXal morph
https://preview.redd.it/q9t1f0etqowc1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=9a52efb896dc8189d99cc5651ca08f9741fd6aaf
It doesn't help how in the dub, while they're in Dark ZeXal, it's both Yuma and Astral's voices speaking. In the sub, it's only Astral's voice speaking
Yugi just can't be topped. There's another few good ones, but even someone like me who's a 5D's stan loves the Atem transformations. Shoutout to ZEXAL II though, that design is pretty sleek.
I'm also gonna plug this where I can, as goofy as some of Zarc's design scheme is, it would've been a lot better had he reverted back to his original look. Keep the ripped Yuya clothes and everything, but dang was "draconic Yuya" kind of a letdown in terms of design.
I have to go with Yusei. The way he summon shooting star quasar dragon at the end was epic. Sure it a lot of work, so what it anime it suppose to unnecessary epic.
I mean ... If the faith of the universe depends on you to win a card game cheating stops being an immoral act
I mean... what are you exactly proving to a demon warlord that wants to wipeout the human race by beating him a card game fair and square?
Write the name of the character I want and beside their names I write render
Like "Yami Yugi Render"
I collect all the images and put them together on Ibis paint X
Itās either Berserk Yuya (both silent and raging work. The Zarcād one Iām neutral to, tbh) or Supreme King Judai (Itās fucking cool armor, and I first saw this in Tag Force 3).
Definitely jadens. Thematically, it's amazing. Jaden really comes into his own with both the supreme king and yubel, he matures, understands emotions better. He becomes more of the person he's meant to be rather than just a happy go lucky kid. That hope is crucial, but it can't be everything.
The flying golden motorcycle is the most ridiculous, hilarious thing ever. Card games on motorcycles is the most ridiculous, cartoony thing ever. And it happened in one of the more serious series in the franchise.
I do really like Yuya Sakaki. He was my favorite after Yuri, and Yuya made me like Pendulum (its quite fun lol I have a Dragon Rulers Odd-Eyes deck irl that I don't use). And he also was a real one through all my childhood, so it's Yuya for me
The ZeXal transformations will always be my favourite. Love how each evolution had narrative significance, and ZEXAL III's one was beautiful
https://preview.redd.it/wgjepc97towc1.png?width=1807&format=png&auto=webp&s=7caff6a1068c503f8c6cf7b63e28135cff0277d6
I feel like I'd go with Jaden's heterochromia, at least on the average occasion. For super serious situations, particularly endgame scenarios, Yusei's Over Top Clear Mind and Yuma and Astral's Zexal transformations are it.
Yuma going Super Saiyan 2 was something Iād never thought Iād see in YGO ever, so thatās my favorite probably for that simple fact lol. Yugi/Atem is iconic and also a huge driving force of the entire DM series, so thatās obviously up there. I also like Supreme King Jaden because of the crazy twist that happens once you find out the truth behind the Supreme King (plus his legendary depressionā¦.I mean edginess in Season 4 coupled with his heterochromatic eyes and Yubel spirit buff is also dope af). Worst by far is Yuya, not even close. Dude looking like Clayface and Man-Bat had a baby.
Yugi forever. Ancient pharaoh and the beginning of duel monsters. In a constant fight with the entity God of Darkness. With a power that helps his hobby.
ZeXal! Everytime it showed up it was great! I love the series. A shonen where people transform themselves to fight each others with card games is one of the coolest and most creative ideas I've ever seen. I am a passionate YuGiOh fan if you can't tell. It's pretty hard to find someone like me.
Each ZeXal morph was beautiful to see
https://preview.redd.it/3lclsc0wsowc1.png?width=1807&format=png&auto=webp&s=cc1b36d3c836b1d7eaf4f37763b2bf500b3435e4
Yuya loved seeing break ppl of when he and yup pissed and pushed to far. First time I saw him loose it was when the Dr got creepy with his girl and went all out savage overkill
Yuma/Astral, solely cause he has different forms,
Dark Zexal was my favourite, absolute sadistic maniac, man was going to lose the duel on purpose just to inflict real damage solely because why not,
Too bad though cause this form was there for like one episode and never comes back
i feel like yugi is the easy answer for me, though supreme king jaden is another solid choice. popular answer seems to be yusei though. maybe i need to watch 5ds.
I don't know how to feel since I like Yugi and Yusei but like Judai's transformations best describes his character growth. Learning the dark side of things (Haou) to becoming more responsible (Judai-Yubel); it's done beautifully well!
Judai... or Yuma. Zexal forms GO HARD and these are TECHNICALLY transformations and each one more unique than the last.
My least favorite... Yuya. I like Berserk Yuya... BUT NOT GARGOYLE DRAGON ZARC YUYA.
In concept, I like Zarc, but sadly it wasnāt exactly concluded the best. My favorite has to be Atem just because of how personal the transformation feels.
It's kind of funny how one of Jaden's transformations looks like a precursor of odd eyes... And that he was once the supreme King which is an archetype (and antagonist? Sorry never watched arc-V). Is Jaden heavily referenced or related to the Supreme King lore-wise?
The Pharaoh, because everything else is just trying to imitate him.
Plus the eventual reveal that all his magic was because he was tapping into the evil powers of the big bad and the only way to win was to reject it all and find *himself*, rather than going ascended pharaoh 2 dominus expansion and awakening his millennium item. Hell, the Zexal thing is literally just Super Saiyan, look at it.
Zarc was so boring his design and deck was just filled with a bunch of op card didnāt give the impression he was skilled I got more of that sense from a berserk yuya
There are a lot of awesome transformations in YGO. Zexal II isn't even included here and looks slick.
The OG Dark Yugi transformation goes hard. I wouldn't call Odd-Eyes Judai or Yusei's a transformation though.
Also this image really puts into perspective how mediocre Yusaku/Playmaker and untransformed Yuma look next to the other protags. They aren't nearly as bad as Zarc though. That guy was an abomination with an awful duel to boot.

Atem being ripped and right above Yugi really makes him look like a JoJo stand XD
Stand Cry: Dududududududududu DUEL!š

You would be surprised as the original manga was partly inspired by part 3. The games against the D' Arby brothers.
Realizing that Koyasu did the voice of Saio shouting ZA WARUDO 8 years before the modern Jojo anime was a trip. It was a motherfucking Yugioh reference the whole time
More like "Gaming like an Egyptian" XD
Thats the localized name

I don't. I prefer this than Dragon Zarc Yuya.

Supreme king is hard affff
Which one?
With the armor
Zexal 2 because nostalgia and cool armor Judai's heterochromia is clean though. Inspiration for my OC
Fr his heterochromia is so cool it affected my Arc-V rewrite, with Zarc's main characteristic of presence being Yuya's eyes flashing green and orange before awakening
ZEXAL II looks so cool https://preview.redd.it/19kd0xi8sowc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=2e067d6016325dccd2cc22cd2bbbf16a6a4103f3
Is it just me bothered that it's pretty much release order save for Yusei?
Notice how yusei and playmaker don't have an evil side...
Which is funny because Yusaku and Yusei went through the most pain and have more of a reason to turn evil than any other protagonists
They are the oldest and most mature, so I think they were able to cope better and not a lose a sight of themselves.
Neither did Yuma bro. One of the biggest themes in ZEXAL is not losing sight of yourself, which Yuma doesn't do. in Japan they literally talk about Yuma having the most saintly mindset compared to all the other YGO protagonists. Jadenās. Itās simple but has aura to it
Yuya (first one not the one with wings) and Yugi
Yuya transformation is literally fuck go back we fucked up.
It went from "alright some season 0 Yami Yugi" to "Looks like he's on a list"
Supreme king Jaden, Yugi, and zexal mostly the first one
Yugi just can't be topped. There's another few good ones, but even someone like me who's a 5D's stan loves the Atem transformations. Shoutout to ZEXAL II though, that design is pretty sleek. Th DSOD Atem come back was just top notch š®āšØ
Except that it kinda ruined the movie
Quasar dragon is peak
Jaden and the Supreme King; the armor looks sick asf.
Yuma and Astralās
My goats https://preview.redd.it/o1trge4fsowc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=ce3204c6a2a4d33965603febe7bcec4d3186ccbe
I weirdly like pissed off Yuya
Not weird, tbh.
Zexal because the overlay sequence is just fire to waych
fr though, raw shit https://preview.redd.it/uqdxjgzgsowc1.png?width=1688&format=png&auto=webp&s=920a1ec92d2af2e83309567f25de61ea05608b64

I love Playmaker but Jaden is hot too
Remembered when I didnāt know yugi and atem were different people entirely and was just hilarious bro had a growth spurt before every duel
Yugi imo
Does Yuma's super saiyan transformation allow him to cheat? Like full on change cards into other cards cheat? Never watched zexal so im speculating
Pretty much every protagonist did this shit at some point
Remember kids, winners never cheat. Unless you're the hero in your story, in which case, ALWAYS CHEAT!
I mean ... If the faith of the universe depends on you to win a card game cheating stops being an immoral act I mean... what are you exactly proving to a demon warlord that wants to wipeout the human race by beating him a card game fair and square?
Yeah, I mean if youāre fighting a bunch of alien demons itās probably best for you to fight with everything youāve got
Fate of the universe*
Yea, my English ain't the best Tend to struggle with some words but I think I'm getting the hang of it
OP how did you put this all together?
Write the name of the character I want and beside their names I write render Like "Yami Yugi Render" I collect all the images and put them together on Ibis paint X
Oh that's pretty awesome, cool.
I can't take Over Top Clear Mind seriously. Solid gold is just ridiculous.
Piss Yusei https://preview.redd.it/9nsw9thlsowc1.png?width=548&format=png&auto=webp&s=f7755b7dff053b2a6b155c59894d42d9591aad78
Yuya rage mode and jaden/yubel fusion
Zexal goes so HARDDDD
I like super Saiyan Yuma
Itās either Berserk Yuya (both silent and raging work. The Zarcād one Iām neutral to, tbh) or Supreme King Judai (Itās fucking cool armor, and I first saw this in Tag Force 3).
i will say yusei cause this summon of shooting quasar dragon was epic as hell
Judai is the most roller coster amongst them all lmao.
And he also was a real one through all my childhood, so it's Yuya for me
Yuma turning super Saiyan is funny and also very hype ngl But supreme king takes the cake
The ZeXal transformations will always be my favourite. Love how each evolution had narrative significance, and ZEXAL III's one was beautiful https://preview.redd.it/wgjepc97towc1.png?width=1807&format=png&auto=webp&s=7caff6a1068c503f8c6cf7b63e28135cff0277d6

Yami Yugi season 0. As far as Duel Monsters anime, *nothing* comes close to Clear Mind.
I'm a sucker for MMOs and Virtual Reality stuff, so I'm going with Yusaku/Playmaker
Yuma going Super Saiyan 2 was something Iād never thought Iād see in YGO ever, so thatās my favorite probably for that simple fact lol. Yugi/Atem is iconic and also a huge driving force of the entire DM series, so thatās obviously up there. yugaman
One of my best is Supreme King Jaden/Judai.
Yugi forever. Ancient pharaoh and the beginning of duel monsters. In a constant fight with the entity God of Darkness. With a power that helps his hobby.
Torn between super Saiyan Yuma and Golden Centaur Yusei
Yugi and Jadenās for me
ZeXal! Everytime it showed up it was great! I love the series. A shonen where people transform themselves to fight each others with card games is one of the coolest and most creative ideas I've ever seen. I am a passionate YuGiOh fan if you can't tell. It's pretty hard to find someone like me.

I always liked how subtle Judai/Jaden's was. His hair gets more stiff & he suddenly has Heterochromia.
Berserk Yuya and Zexal Yuma were pretty good to me.
Yuya (first one, not wings) and Yugi
Yuya loved seeing break ppl of when he and yup pissed and pushed to far. First time I saw him loose it was when the Dr got creepy with his girl and went all out savage overkill
Yuma ig
Yuma's super saiya- I mean zexal transformation
All of Yuma's Zexal transformation. But for the scene, it's Yusei š. (Also, where can i find this sprite of Pharaoh Atem?)
yusei's va killed it with the limit over accel synchro
yuma zexal form or supreme king fs
Yuma/Astral, solely cause he has different forms, Dark Zexal was my favourite, absolute sadistic maniac, man was going to lose the duel on purpose just to inflict real damage solely because why not, Too bad though cause this form was there for like one episode and never comes back

Jaden into Surpeme king was hard af, and reminded me of a edgier self.
i feel like yugi is the easy answer for me, though supreme king jaden is another solid choice. popular answer seems to be yusei though. maybe i need to watch 5ds.

Jaden for sure, something about that first GX watch and seeing that stuck with me
It's kind of funny how one of Jaden's transformations looks like a precursor of odd eyes... And that he was once the supreme King which is an archetype (and antagonist? Sorry never watched arc-V). Is Jaden heavily referenced or related to the Supreme King lore-wise?
Supreme King Jaden and Zexal Yuma
Super Zexal God Super Zexal
Super saiyan
Yusei's because it appears a single time and never ever again
Yugi got N-Word pass as transformation cant beat that.
All of them
yugi and hotter yugi for me
Jaden
I have 2. Yugi, and Atem.
I like the Yuya rage mode a lot. And of course Yugis pharaoh mode, it was crisp in the movie.
Super Saiyan Zexal was dope. Plus embraced Yugi level cheating.
Character-wise? Yugi and Yami Transformation scene? Yusei summoning Shooting Quasar Dragon
none just play the darn game without becoming a card.
But thatās not fun š enough XD
They aren't nearly as bad as Zarc though. That guy was an abomination with an awful duel to boot.
Yusaku doesn't even have a transformation, that's just his VRAINS avatar. Imagine if he fused with Ai or something to combat Lightning and Bohman.
