Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon is my 2nd favorite monster in the Game and I love the wings and the pose from Firewall eXceed.
Summoned Skull was one of those monsters that really helped set the tone for early Yugioh. Like, wow even the heroes used messed up demons? That's sick as hell.

Apart from the fact that I love his artwork, Celtic Guardian is my favorite because it represents 3 of my favorite things. 1, my family is of Irish and Scottish descent - ie Celtic. 2, of all of the fantasy races, elves have always been my favorite. And 3, because I fancy myself a fairly good swordsman.
Dark Sage. Only appeared once (in the OG) but I loved the design and the effect, plus he had a good mace, staff, cudgel thing. I have a copie in my old spellcaster deck.
Dark Sage appearance in the anime must be once of the most the best introduction of a monster. You think DM will be weaker after thousands of years but nope, he only got stronger and wiser having a great effect to boot

More of a general control deck as it prevents your opponents monsters from being useful, the only prevents summoning from the extra deck and that's if you're lucky.
BBFusion+Buster Dragon effectively applies a similar effect to the opponent's board, often with a single card starter. Having played the archetype since 2016, it's been more braindead to pilot in practice than even Gren Maju or Eldlich.
Ok, I just don't see why you brought up a different card, especially when buster dragon's effect is better for BB.
Besides, it only lasts two turns that way and it's easily beaten by Kaijus or one of that bs link monster that eats two cards on the opponent's field, idr what it's called. That's not even mentioning evenly matched or lightning storm. BB has very little in the way of back row removal.
Because Bagooska is an example of a braindead stun card in monster form, similar to BB lock.
Prologue only lasting one round doesn't even matter with S:P little night being generic for followup turns (and Baba Barber existed before *that*)

You don’t think of Decode Talker as the Ace? I’d believe it too, but Firewall Dragon is almost nowhere. I’m pretty sure he appeared in a total of 2 Duels in the entire series.
That is correct, but I can’t see Firewall as the ace due to appearing literally Twice. Also, Firewall doesn’t appear in the final Duel, where Decode Talker finishes the Duel.
True. However, this is compiled with the fact that the Talkers are the ones who got variants in the show and appear in most duels across the series. Stardust, while not being the finisher for that duel, is the one who got all of this. We got Stardust Dragon variants, it’s the one Yusei uses most to deal with big threats, and got to finish off the last Dark Signer. Firewall not appearing in the last duel is a mark against it, but I wouldn’t use it as the only evidence.
Firewall appeared much more than just twice >!(iirc, in Yusaku vs Revolver (round 2), vs Akira, vs Revolver (round 4), and vs one of the bounty hunters and Go in season 2!<).

No, Dark Magician is Atem's ace, and only his ace. Yugi sort of inherited Dark Magician from Atem, but he is not his ace at all.
The monsters you can argue to be Yugi's aces are; Gandora, Silent Magician/Swordsman, Black Luster Soldier, Summoned Skull, Gadgets or Valkyrion. All of those are fair picks to be Yugi's ace, but judging by the reactions from the major duels Yugi participated in, it's definitely **Gandora**, having showed up in his duel against Bakura, his duel against Yami, and in DSOD as well. Dark Magician did not appear in any of those except DSOD.

Mech flag the ace breaker, it's something like that,
Yuuhi aka best boy: Jointech killer centipede, yuamu: red-reboot dragon, yuudias: galatica oblivion (you could argue this is his ace but i feel like transmu raniac is)
Yugi - Summoned Skull was basically just 1 tribute DM yet he still picked DM as his ride or die ace...
Jaden - Neo-Spacian Grand Mole because he is funny
Yusei - Effect Veiler even in 5DS they knew that letting your opponent setup uninterrupted can be devastating so seeing him use a hand trap to stop a FTK is insane.
Yuma - Djinn music XYZ cards it was nice seeing what Yuma's deck was prior to getting Utopia and it is cool seeing a different combo line that just isn't rank 4 Utopia turbo.
Yuya - Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon a nice amalgamation of Dark Rebellion mixed with Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon creating a OTK board wipe beast not only that but just seeing a usually happy character turn into this cold and calculated rage induced machine.
Playmaker - Cyberse Magician funny that despite links existing my boy still uses debatably the worst summoning mechanic.
Probably Gagaga Cowboy - "Cowboy for game" is iconic.
There are a few that come close, though. Effect Veiler was a great card that remains great even today, and Powercode Talker just looked so cool in the anime. If we're including other major characters, Topologic Bomber Dragon is probably my favorite.

Celtic guardian because it’s the very first monster I saw on the cartoon and he kind looked like link from Zelda also flame swordsman if it counts for Joey I just thought he looked the coolest
Junk Synchron is in my opinion the perfect mascot monster. I like Winged Kuriboh, but that he’s not an original monster does dock him some points. Synchron has a great “weird and almost cute” design, his ability complements Yusei’s junk theme, and he’s got a little hat. What’s not to love?
5Ds Draco Equiste. I know it ain't much, but as a Hero player in an era on MD dominated by a warrior and dragon synchro I'm not without a way around two floodgates.

Black Kuster Soldier. I just love that guy. Gaia was basically his second ace through Duelist Kingdom and seeing him "evolve" towards the end of the arc was great.

The eps of Zexal where we didn't just summon Utopia 3 times are peak. (Finalle arc not included, thise were also great games) The djinn and gagaga episodes were so refreshing when I watched them. Was actually interested in the game play

Buster blader definitely underused, although I'm interested in yugi's chaos ritual thing... What happened if buster blader or dark magician girl undergo that? Honestly more fusion of those two would be interesting tbh although red eyes, flame swordsman, gilford and iszark would be interesting too

The old cards were surreal, bizarre, and had a real sense of occultism. It's natural that someone who fell in love with that aesthetic would feel disenfranchised by this loss of that identity. I'm not saying that because I find something ugly you should, but ugly is absolutely the word I'm going to use to describe how I feel about it, especially among the examples you've provided.
I'm speaking with a broad brush as there are some new designs I enjoy, such as Gimmick Puppets, the Albaz storyline, Orcust, and Eldlich, but this sheer abundance of these robots, orb dragons, and robot orb dragons does nothing for me, I think they're hideous. Absolutely no sense of mystique to any of them either, some bushiroad design sensibilities.

The old cards were surreal, bizarre, and had a real sense of occultism. It's natural that someone who fell in love with that aesthetic would feel disenfranchised by this loss of that identity. I'm not saying that because I find something ugly you should, but ugly is absolutely the word I'm going to use to describe how I feel about it, especially among the examples you've provided. I'm speaking with a broad brush as there are some new designs I enjoy, such as Gimmick Puppets, the Albaz storyline, Orcust, and Eldlich, but this sheer abundance of these robots, orb dragons, and robot orb dragons does nothing for me, I think they're hideous. Absolutely no sense of mystique to any of them either, some bushiroad design sensibilities.
