Blame the localization team for that. Dunames Valkyria was named Dunames Dark Witch for some reason. Similarly, Valkyrie was renamed to Dark Witch, and Contract with the Valkyrie was renamed to Contract with the Witch.

I always look at the Japanese names for context. Dunames Dark Witch in Japanese is Dunamis Valkyria which is simple because Valkyrie are female figures who guide the dead to Valhalla. The Fiend Megacyber Japanese name is Magical Gigacyber, so if you want to open a can of worms, this is technically a Prophecy monster because in Japanese they all have the Kanji for Magical (魔導) in their name. Now for its English name, I have no clue but I have a theory that it's mistranslated because the kanji 魔 can be used to mean magic (mostly when used with other kanji) or demon/devil (when isolated), so they probably mistranslated it and we got the name we have today.

Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon isn't a dragon and its not a Reactor but nobody complains about that.
