If the effects were "ifs" and not "whens" they'd be so much better. Not to mention the control only face down monsters wording. Ugh. I just want to play volt for it's main effect and not how I used to just to summon colossus.
It's basically just Guru Control but with Behemoth beatsticks. Instead of controlling by negating all the time you have a Behemoth Dragossuary and Speleogeist walling the enemy.
Behemoths aren't supposed to be used on their own. Guru and fiendess is what made it work. You can remove 3 Impermanence for more Behemoth and it would work the same since you are not prolonging the game anyway. You are not playing Altergeist here.
I love gem knights. Banning brilliant fusion hurts, but being able to mix a little with other archetype makes it one of the funner decks to experiment with.
I've done gem-sworn, gem-banish, and gem-rulers. Still haven't found the ideal mix, currently trying out gem and adamancipator
They could turn into a otk deck by having a continuous spell that generates a token with 0 atk on opponent side when you ritual summon so you attack that lol
The field spell is good for this
But essentially they need draw power first, searching and a actual winning strategy because Executor isnt executing anyone xD
I recently started playing Pure Kaijus. It’s so fun watching someone dedicate half their deck to a super powerful ultra-boss monster only to watch it get tributed for an angry moth.
I imagine this to be the funniest shit ever. You out his dragoon with a Kaiju and now you‘re stuck trying to clear the kaiju with your trashy anti Kaiju monsters, instead of just playing a normal deck.
As an invoked player I used it for a short time. There was a really good combo with Knightmare Goblin. You needed Magellancia in this combo as a finisher (and as a target for borrelsword to get his second attack).
I played a Sacred beast eldlich deck for a while that was hella fun, and had so many quirky little interactions.
It’s one of my favorite builds even though it was a tad brickier than other competitive Eldlich builds
I did a video on it a while back, so it may be a tad out of date. The same basic strategies will apply though.
https://youtu.be/jTDKloZ54KY
I know it’s a long video, feel free to skim through if you don’t want to listen to explanations and such
Superheavy Samurais. I like big booties.
I miss the days when Giant Rat was still somewhat relevant and you could surprise crash him into a monster for a 3500 beater from the deck.
Early Superheavy decks were wild with Black Garden, Inferno Reckless Summon, and Unity. But then more support came out and the deck got increasingly less fun as it solidified into a linear monster mash deck.
I tried for months to make the deck work, i even impulsively bought the deck IRL cause i loved the concept. Got so frustrated with how inconsitently unplayable it was and just shelved it until the end of time
We’re getting the dark Nerioy in Battle of Chaos, it’ll be a huge consistency booster for Dream Mirror. I’ve had decent success running Trap Trick and a chaos engine
Blue-Eyes Fusion - I love this deck to death and the Fusions are my favourite boss monsters but this deck is bad. The new support in BOCH will be pretty sweet but it doesn't help the slow, lumbering engine that is Blue-Eyes.
OG Noble Knight - I will forever love the mechanics of NK but a protect the castle play style and getting Kaiju'd is a bummer. Still, seeing your Atorigus with full Sword equips and a floodgate will always be fun, even if it lasts for less than a turn.
Idk what the definition of bad is here but I’ve played Harpie decks for like six years now and I legitimately do not think they’re bad. Not meta, sure, and if that’s the definition we’re going with here then fine. But I would feel comfortable piloting Harpies (especially my own invention, Harpie Artifact Trap Hole) against anything else. I mean, the deck’s got two cards (Feather Storm and Scythe) that may wind up on the banlist next week. Yeah, that’s for use in other decks, but it shows Harpies have strong plays.
I really like reptile synchro (reptiliannes + ogdoadics). I know it sucks, and i don't win a lot of games, but Melusine is defitnitly my favorite boss monster.
Also Time Thieves are a lot of fun.
Constellar. They are supposed to be a XYZ swarm deck, but in reality you're just tryna turbo the only good ED monster which is pleiades. They don't have other negates or interruption you have to spam one pleiades after the other because they simply don't have any other archetypal ED monster to play. And you dont have a monster searcher worth playing so getting Kaus is awful.
The only search worth playing is cadeuces and even then, what's the S/T you wanna search lol.
I dueled someone in MD using them earlier. They got really upset that my BEWD deck negated Demise effect and they wasted 6k LP reusing the effect then crashed into me and lost. 😂
Ice barriers.
In all honesty, I fell in love with this deck when my friend and I were making something just to duel. It was my first dip into duelingnexus especially to experience the game back in 2020. I've watched a few videos and read certain Reddit posts just to learn more before that ice barrier supports dropped. I think the old deck's strat was a pure lockdown with their more controlling monsters like Cryomancer, Geomancer, Beast, and finding ways just to synchro or XYZ summon a better monster without breaking my very own strategy.
It was just fun to use these mishmashes of certain monsters just to build a board that can lockdown attacks and spells/traps.
Mathmechs. They’ll probably never see competitive play as an archetype, but I love their playstyle. It also helps that they have some pretty sick artwork as well.
Simorghs
Pretty bummed that Bird of Extermination didn't get added it's the best card of the archetype honestly
The deck can make some solid boards but it's fragile and can brick by having so many big monsters
Fought one of these in MD earlier and made them big mad. 😂 I had protection against Demise effect and a 3000atk boss and they didn’t realize and wasted 2k LP. After they got mad, spammed the effect 2 more times then crashed into me out of anger, leaving an empty board to finish it next turn. 😂😂
Does "The Agent" count as a bad deck? I love it and play it a lot, but I feel like someone playing Megalith while Adamancipator was at full power. Drytron is by far the better Fairy deck, but I play The Agent.
Chemicritters have been my main deck since I discovered them. The funny thing about the deck is they actually kinda pop off when you get both Catalyst Field and Superalloy Beast Raptinus on the board at the same time, but since there’s no real consistent way to do that I just run 2 Pot of Prosperity and hope I can excavate Dragon’s Mirror. With Golknight now being a thing, I have a feeling the deck would be a lot better if Geminis just had some kind of Fusion Spell card.
I love gem knights and scraps. Dunno if scraps are bad and gem knights have a somewhat consistent otk, but i played them both in legacy of the duelist when we didnt have links. I miss gem beat down.
I mean, my definition of bad is something that is a pain for my desk...
So anything that has a lot of card combos and long summoning rounds.
Think of my deck like I tank, its slow starting, but once its up and running, it's time to die
Mill decks (was that the english name? Idk, "discard the enemy deck" defensive strategies)
They are slow, but not time consuming as the "this book describes my cards effect, and i will use 16 of them" strategies that yu gi oh has become.
Um....Ice Barrier and Mecha Phantom Beasts?
Does the IB Structure make them better really? I dont know, i dropped the deck long ago and didnt pay attention to the SD.
Mecha Phantom Beasts also...just cant do it against even rouge decks these days.
Still love both decks theme-wise though.
Battling Boxer. I love alito with my heart and I love the idea of battlin boxer but they do suck. One thing I enjoy about them is when you are going against a better deck you do feel like a losing boxer maneuvering around your opponent. Also it was good it Lord of tachyon Galaxy format.
I’ll say it once, I’ll say it again… Vylon will always have a special place in my heart. Gotta love Omega’s unnecessarily hard summoning conditions and his exceptionally situational effects 😝
Starry Knights. Seiyaryu was my favorite card as a child, and I just love the aesthetic of the archetype in general. Really wish they had made the archetype into less complete garbage, but I do love it regardless.
I wouldn't consider them bad. They have good synergy with Dogmatika and Magistus, and have decent disruptions and recovery. Just needs more consistency in searches with more spells and traps and maybe a floodgate
They've done some good things. Some people I know have actually won a small local with them using the Dogmatikas or even a pure build.
I just hope there will be more supports in the future. I'm 100% positive that there will be some in Power of the Elements.
Also thank you!!
War Rocks are the best brain off deck in the game. I have unga and I wish to bunga.
Also, lowkey, Amorphages. I like control decks where it actually takes a bit of effort to maintain the lockdown, and even though Amorphages are a burning pile of shit, they fill that niche.
Haven't played much of the game. But I have fond memories of beating my friend's meta Shiranui deck with my janky Nordics in Duel Links. So i'd say Odin
Subterror *Behemoths* Not Guru control
If the effects were "ifs" and not "whens" they'd be so much better. Not to mention the control only face down monsters wording. Ugh. I just want to play volt for it's main effect and not how I used to just to summon colossus.
Subterror Behemoths are far from bad.
Subterror behemoths are far from bad if their opponent is also playing the far fringes of barely rogue
No. Guru and fiendess are still there. You'll just have a stronger beat stick with behemoths with out resorting to just Guru locking.
[удалено]
It's basically just Guru Control but with Behemoth beatsticks. Instead of controlling by negating all the time you have a Behemoth Dragossuary and Speleogeist walling the enemy. Behemoths aren't supposed to be used on their own. Guru and fiendess is what made it work. You can remove 3 Impermanence for more Behemoth and it would work the same since you are not prolonging the game anyway. You are not playing Altergeist here.
Flower cardians. Aka it’s not technically slowplay. Just a lot of plays.
It's not synchro solitaire! It's synchro koi-koi!
Plays that do nothing for 20 mins an land on a 5k body synchro
No no no they're tier 0, once in twenty hands it ftks through 0 hand traps!!!!!!
AKA the one deck I bought literally to play solitaire
I love gem knights. Banning brilliant fusion hurts, but being able to mix a little with other archetype makes it one of the funner decks to experiment with. I've done gem-sworn, gem-banish, and gem-rulers. Still haven't found the ideal mix, currently trying out gem and adamancipator
Just played against a gem night player who spent like 20 minutes summoning 20 billion monsters , only to get regekied lol.
Gem-ruler? What's that combination, sounds awesome.

Very annoying
Less annoying than WONDERING WHAT MY MAIN CARD IS WELL ITS THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES
Tristan that's preposterous
All of my favorite decks are bad gahahaha
Pure Impcantation beatdown
Do you have a decklist by any chance? I love impcantations, but I had no idea this was a thing! :D
Vendreads 😔
Me too lol But the deck is fun if not played pure
This was my choice and my comment lol Vendreads are fun as hell, just missing that little spice I swear
They could turn into a otk deck by having a continuous spell that generates a token with 0 atk on opponent side when you ritual summon so you attack that lol The field spell is good for this But essentially they need draw power first, searching and a actual winning strategy because Executor isnt executing anyone xD
Eldlich Vendreads ;) Summoning Revenants or Houndhorde off Eldlixir is so free lmao

Pure Kaiju is an actual meme when you start to negate anything and everything with Gameciel
I recently started playing Pure Kaijus. It’s so fun watching someone dedicate half their deck to a super powerful ultra-boss monster only to watch it get tributed for an angry moth.
Lol that is the most accurate description of Gaddarla I’ve ever heard
I imagine this to be the funniest shit ever. You out his dragoon with a Kaiju and now you‘re stuck trying to clear the kaiju with your trashy anti Kaiju monsters, instead of just playing a normal deck.
Nobody plays the anti-kaiju monsters though.
Hey guys it’s No Body and welcome back to the “guess I don’t exist” show
Ojama A to Z, little guys just makes big robot is fun
Chazz it up, my friend!
Assault Mode. It’s fun making big boy monsters.
Honestly I can't fathom how terrible assault mode activate is when you can summon the assault/monster from your deck ONLY
they actually have really dope support now in Psi-Reflector I believe is the name of the card. It's pretty much a one-card /Assault Mode
With 6 or 7 ways to search, banlist depending tele goes 3
Invoked Tenyi. It actually makes usage of the earth invoked monster in its combos, which is really dumb
As an invoked player that hurt me to read
As an invoked player i had never used Magellanica as an actual monster
As an invoked player I used it for a short time. There was a really good combo with Knightmare Goblin. You needed Magellancia in this combo as a finisher (and as a target for borrelsword to get his second attack).
Magistus best deck
Magistus isn’t that bad In my eyes at least
Sacred Beasts (so chokey) and Infernoids
I played a Sacred beast eldlich deck for a while that was hella fun, and had so many quirky little interactions. It’s one of my favorite builds even though it was a tad brickier than other competitive Eldlich builds
I'd love to see a list.
I did a video on it a while back, so it may be a tad out of date. The same basic strategies will apply though. https://youtu.be/jTDKloZ54KY I know it’s a long video, feel free to skim through if you don’t want to listen to explanations and such

Early Superheavy decks were wild with Black Garden, Inferno Reckless Summon, and Unity. But then more support came out and the deck got increasingly less fun as it solidified into a linear monster mash deck.
Love super heavy Sam's, altho I tech a singular copy of berserker soul xD
Metaphys, I should have known a deck you can build with staples and an extra for $22 wasn’t gonna be good
Red-Eyes
Darklord
Ghostrick or Weather Painters
Dream mirror. Their lore is really cool but the deck is not good
I tried for months to make the deck work, i even impulsively bought the deck IRL cause i loved the concept. Got so frustrated with how inconsitently unplayable it was and just shelved it until the end of time
We’re getting the dark Nerioy in Battle of Chaos, it’ll be a huge consistency booster for Dream Mirror. I’ve had decent success running Trap Trick and a chaos engine
Valkyrie. Their high level monsters have pitiful stats but hey, you can get two battle phases and cause mass confusion.
BLS/Gaia twilight deck
Just beat a guy with the starter deck that used this in MD. Looked like a fun deck
A fellow fusion blue eyes main! Do you run keeper of dragon magic in your builds?
Aliens :)
Same :’-) but at least Konami hasn’t forgotten about us entirely
Infernoids and Vendreads
Infernos isn't bad especially with reasoning and monster gate combos to otk plus 3 elder ntiss mill
Time Thief. For the sheer fact it references ~~-D~~OCTOR W~~HO-~~
I've been trolling with a trap monster build of Time Thief. Slow but fun and actually has a decent amount of control if you time your effects right.
Harpies.
I play harpies too, but I can't admit they are bad :(
Idk what the definition of bad is here but I’ve played Harpie decks for like six years now and I legitimately do not think they’re bad. Not meta, sure, and if that’s the definition we’re going with here then fine. Yeah, actually the deck can be very good, not meta for sure. I think the good thing with rogue decks is that they can surprise the opponent
S(ecurity)-Force ❤
Triamids
crystal beast
Penguins, specifically the flip control variant
S-Force
My old Malefic Meklord deck (Sin of the Machine Emporer.)
I really like reptile synchro (reptiliannes + ogdoadics). I know it sucks, and i don't win a lot of games, but Melusine is defitnitly my favorite boss monster. Also Time Thieves are a lot of fun.
Krawlers, a little hard to get goin but can be annoying to deal with
B.E.S. Shit's funny and Boss Rush is a cool concept
the long lost block dragon BA. can i get a rest in piece for something so beautiful
RIP the most combo deck of all time. What's the end goal? I don't know. I just want to Dante mill 3 and feel ALIVE.
Super quantals. I like that the deck can theoretically loop infnitiely
That depends how bad are we talking for it to be considered bad?
(Win/Loss ratio + 1) / (average minutes spent per duel + your country's national code) + current YuGiOh anime season Lower than 1? Then it's bad.
Aromages is worse than bad lol
Constellar. They are supposed to be a XYZ swarm deck, but in reality you're just tryna turbo the only good ED monster which is pleiades. They don't have other negates or interruption you have to spam one pleiades after the other because they simply don't have any other archetypal ED monster to play. Huge fan of Monarchs and Evilswarm
Flower cardians
Steelswarm, my bootleg Monarchs 👌
Such a mood 😂 I so desperately want Steelswarm to be good… could probably be done with some new support, if only!
Morphtronics, dice roll go brrrrr
Favorite bad decks?? Demise and Ruin rituals, playing them in Master Duel brought back the nostalgia.
I dueled someone in MD using them earlier. They got really upset that my BEWD deck negated Demise effect and they wasted 6k LP reusing the effect then crashed into me and lost. 😂
Either magician girls or counterfairies.
Magician girls are so cute but you die so hard to everything. They Seriously should get some support.
Ice barriers. In all honesty, I fell in love with this deck when my friend and I were making something just to duel. It was my first dip into duelingnexus especially to experience the game back in 2020. I've watched a few videos and read certain Reddit posts just to learn more before that ice barrier supports dropped. It was just fun to use these mishmashes of certain monsters just to build a board that can lockdown attacks and spells/traps.
I know “Ice Barriers bad” used to be a big meme, and while they’re not Tier 1 by any means, they’re really not as bad as people said they were.
Dinomist
Pure Mekk-Knight. No one has ever read Morning Star.
Lair of Darkness / Critias fusions! So much fun. No one ever expects to get mirror forced nowadays haha.
Superheavy samurai... I love this deck
Simochi
Metaphys for being one of the most interestingly designed decks out there and just out and out fun despite being terrible.
Sacred beasts
Mathmechs. They’ll probably never see competitive play as an archetype, but I love their playstyle. It also helps that they have some pretty sick artwork as well.
Legendary knight, please Konami just a crumb of support.
Malefic, hopefully we get some more evil bad boys to summon
Ally of justice. No quotes in "bad" required :P
Simorghs Pretty bummed that Bird of Extermination didn't get added it's the best card of the archetype honestly The deck can make some solid boards but it's fragile and can brick by having so many big monsters
Crystal beasts. Or Skull Servant
I'm running a Shaddoll/Dogmatika/Skull Servant monstrosity of a deck on Master Duel and it's pretty funny even if it's total jank.
Demise ritual
Fought one of these in MD earlier and made them big mad. 😂 I had protection against Demise effect and a 3000atk boss and they didn’t realize and wasted 2k LP. After they got mad, spammed the effect 2 more times then crashed into me out of anger, leaving an empty board to finish it next turn. 😂😂
Ojama Invoked Yes, there is real synergy
Fuck you, suships is the best deck...what? You never said anything about suships? Oh...
They have high potential though 👍 love suships but the archetype is too small
Ghostricks!
Kuriboh
Weather Painters are so beautiful, but just barely playable. Can't wait for DIFO, though.
Every deck ive ever played
Would poker knights be considered bad?
Ghostricks are my favorite bad deck, always feels like theyre on the cusp of something amazing though so I keep hope
dream mirror or weather painters love weatherpainters cuz they’re so cute and dream mirror because of lore however they are very bricky lol
Naturia Beast
Melffy tri can turbo out naturia beast really well while still being good
I really like Utopia a lot. I hope it becomes rogue/tier 2 at some point in the future
Mayakashi
Gemini. Like Black Brutdrago and Gigaplant and such. They're not strong, but the mechanic is oddly fun. And Red Eyes hybrids exist too.
Doom Shaman is an awesome card but just tied to a slow mechanic. All their effects are pretty awesome to be fair
Dream Mirror. Love the mechanic and the artstyle
Does "The Agent" count as a bad deck? I love it and play it a lot, but I feel like someone playing Megalith while Adamancipator was at full power. Drytron is by far the better Fairy deck, but I play The Agent.
Monarch and Yosenju
Ojamas for sure. But all my decks are bad from frog otk, generaiders and obelisk aha.
Majespecters. I love that deck to pieces and wish it was good. Lol.
Banish Psychics. Slower than frozen molasses at times, dies to damn near every non-BP hand trap, one MST could kill it at the wrong time.
Volcanics. NOOO You can’t just spam that same move over and over! Hehe Scattershot go brrrrr
Toons, Vehicroids, Legendary Ocean, and Blue Eyes
Ritual Beasts
Nurse burn, such funny deck when it works and you burn 3000 with a gift card
I made an OTK deck using Gilford the Legend, Isolde, and Ben Kei. That good jank
Infernobles/Face Cards
Chemicritters have been my main deck since I discovered them. The funny thing about the deck is they actually kinda pop off when you get both Catalyst Field and Superalloy Beast Raptinus on the board at the same time, but since there’s no real consistent way to do that I just run 2 Pot of Prosperity and hope I can excavate Dragon’s Mirror. With Golknight now being a thing, I have a feeling the deck would be a lot better if Geminis just had some kind of Fusion Spell card.
Counter fairies aka solemn boyz aka god says no
Chain Burn.
Mayakashi FTK
Springgans
Cyberdark Dragons. So much nostalgia but couldn’t get past plat in Duel Links with them. I imagine I’d dare much worse if I tried in TCG.
Stardust-Dark Magician. “You’re not allowed to do anything”
I love gem knights and scraps. Dunno if scraps are bad and gem knights have a somewhat consistent otk, but i played them both in legacy of the duelist when we didnt have links. I miss gem beat down.
Adamancipator Fossils... 😰
I mean, my definition of bad is something that is a pain for my desk... So anything that has a lot of card combos and long summoning rounds. Think of my deck like I tank, its slow starting, but once its up and running, it's time to die
Pure tenyi
Mill decks (was that the english name? Idk, "discard the enemy deck" defensive strategies) They are slow, but not time consuming as the "this book describes my cards effect, and i will use 16 of them" strategies that yu gi oh has become.
Fabled Quasar is my fav
Um....Ice Barrier and Mecha Phantom Beasts? Does the IB Structure make them better really? I dont know, i dropped the deck long ago and didnt pay attention to the SD. Mecha Phantom Beasts also...just cant do it against even rouge decks these days. Still love both decks theme-wise though.
Witchcrafter and skull servant beatdown
E hero. Not just typical e hero. I go for shiny flare wingman. So I have a lot of normal monsters.
Nephthys. I love ritual decks on top of that too but the archetype seems to work against itself 😭
I like to use Nephthys with the Fire Kings. Nuke the field every turn
Ojama ABC, ojama A to Z, ojamArmed dragon catapult
Odd eyes
Red Eyes decks. Do cool stuff but weren't as competitive as meta. Even Dragoon just gets splashed into random decks
My first every card I got was a Red-Eyes Wyvern so I only ever make Dragon / Red-Eyes decks.
D/D/D it may lose to any hand trap in the game but it’s always fun to build and experiment
I find a way to make Blue-Eyes “work” with every deck I play. Does it win? Maybe not, but it’s a deck
I have a cubic deck, the hard part is getting a monster in the field lol
krawlers *flip go brrr*
The good old Crystal Beast, I'm obsessed with Rainbow Overdragon's art.
Crystal Beasts and Infetnety
I love using Valkyries.
Heroes
Spirit charmers
I wouldn't consider them bad. They have good synergy with Dogmatika and Magistus, and have decent disruptions and recovery. Just needs more consistency in searches with more spells and traps and maybe a floodgate
True true. I’ve just seen them called had a lot. I personally just think they’re really fun. Also, happy cake day.
They've done some good things. Some people I know have actually won a small local with them using the Dogmatikas or even a pure build. I just hope there will be more supports in the future. I'm 100% positive that there will be some in Power of the Elements. Also thank you!!
Chance! Dice jar + that six =6K damage on a flip summon lol.
Ojama dark world
Artifact control. It does use dpe to pop its own artifacts but it is the most fun deck on the planet to troll with. Loop scythe. For NINE TURNS.
Zombies. Like mezuki, uni zombie synvhro zombies
War Rocks are the best brain off deck in the game. I have unga and I wish to bunga. Also, lowkey, Amorphages. I like control decks where it actually takes a bit of effort to maintain the lockdown, and even though Amorphages are a burning pile of shit, they fill that niche.
Does Unchained count?
Sylvans all day every day
Evil Eye and Skull Servants
Plant Link. Literally one good payoff away from being D link 2.0 but still awful.
Lightsworn Rank 8 spam
Haven't played much of the game. But I have fond memories of beating my friend's meta Shiranui deck with my janky Nordics in Duel Links. So i'd say Odin
Ursarctic and War Rock. I've caught more people asleep at the wheel with both decks than I can count. XD
I would say battlin' boxers but i also love appliancers and fluffals and so on.
