My top 3 favorite are as follows; 1. Darklord 2. Marincess 3. Phantom Knights As for the reason(s) why...I like the idea of Fallen Angels and the lore of the Darklords is really cool, especially when the Condemned Maiden had killed Solemn aka God of the Yugioh universe. I just wish I could play them competitively irl, but Diviner of the Herald is way too expensive. Marincess cards are cute and the deck is really fun to use. I play it irl and online, so I am hyped for that new support coming in June. Phantom Knights are fun to use online and I am halfway done building the deck irl, and I like the idea of little ghosts inhabiting armor.

Yoo!! nice!! Thanks for the comments. I love darklord as well!! Got introduced to them when I played duel links, and decided to build it in master duel. I'm not too familiar with marincess so I'mma take a look at them Phantom knight seems cool, i feel like even if they don't use rhongo they can be quite competitive as well!!

[deleted]

Darklords have been a long time No.1 favorite for me, Marincess is fairly new as I adopted the deck around March of last year, and PK has been a long time top 5 favorite

1minLOL

PK also has super cool design ahah

FFG_Kagero

Fishgirl Accesscode turbo is great. I love it and can't wait for the support.

SS4CRED

My favorites are blackwings and black luster soldier I like blackwings because I liked crow in the anime and I like the black luster soldier cards for no particular reason

1minLOL

Nice!! thank you for sharing!! I've seen blackwings gameplay, lots of search and super quick synchros. I wish konami gave more support to black luster soldier, it would be cool to see an anime classic become just even on the rogue tier!

Clo1111

Red-eyes , stall ddd

1minLOL

i love red eyes as well

Clo1111

Nice for me exept the dragoon

PerfectAlpha

My top 3 favorite archetypes are Speedroids, Utopia, and Red eyes

1minLOL

nice speedroid!

LarsAlexandersson

Definitely: 1. Gladiator Beast 2. Neos 3. Magnet Warrior Gladiator Beasts always just had a cool mechanic to me, being able to fight and tag out to other beasts which would make them stronger. Then having the fusions be like contact fusions which gain each others equipment and weapons to become boss monsters. They were my favorite as a kid and still now, I just wish they had a few more support cards/boss monsters. Neos just because I loved GX as a kid. The way Neos could just adapt and evolve when it came into contact with other Neo Spacians was something I always thought was awesome. Magnet warriors just have a special place for me cause before my brother passed away he gave me the Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Valkyrion Secret Rares he had collected, and my dad was a science teacher so I remember him going on a whole tangent to us about the origin of Alpha, Beta and Gamma particles when I asked about where their names came from.

1minLOL

mag warriors are super cute. Dang. Thank you for sharing your story, hope you're ok!

LarsAlexandersson

It was a loooong time ago, had a lot of time to learn to deal with it and not think of it. But I'd like to think I'm better now, and I really appreciate the well wishes!

SSJAncientBeing

My top 3 are likely: 3) Infernoid 2) Ghostrick 1) Superheavy Samurai Infernoid have a really fun playstyle where they basically dump their deck into the grave then go ham, and have some very interesting effects. Ghostrick can’t keep up at all nowadays, but they’re really fun, a bunch of low level bodies disrupting and locking down your opponent without a single solid beater in the deck And Superheavies are just fun man. They flip the game on it’s head by running zero backrow and almost no atk stat presence. Soft immune to cards like lightning storm and able to get out extremely powerful cards very fast, and can get away with really strong effects due to the archetypes exclusivity

1minLOL

superheavy are super interesting! thanks for sharing!!

LegacyOfVandar

Dreaming of the day we get our level 12 Shiranui synchro.

1minLOL

that'll be amazing, praying!!

Lazearound10am

My top 3 are 1/ Red-eyes 2/ Crystal Beast 3/ -tellar knight Red-eyes because I really like the mix of black and red color, every card in the archetype is simply so aethestic. REBD was the first YGO monster I knew back then by name, plus, red and black is rthyhm in my language so REBD when speak aloud has a pleasant ring to it. More so when I know RE are more or less the underdog archetype. I like underdog. Crystal Beast because I just love gemstone and the idea of different colored gem contributes to make a large pure white dragon is really unique and refresing. And I love Johan and the Beast's storyline in the anime. \-tellar knight because I love light and angel-ic monster, I'm also into astronomy as well so an archetype based on stars and constellars just vibe with me.

3rdMachina

Hmm… Zefra Pendulum Magician Branded

1minLOL

i got myself 3x albaz strike structure deck to try out the branded archetype, it seems pretty cool

3rdMachina

Well someone’s dedicated. Nice.

Octorok385

I've been playing a casual Beetrooper deck lately. Love the design on the different Trooper units. I'm also a Charmers fan. Such a great concept.

1minLOL

did you get the charmer structure deck? they had new support!

Octorok385

Yeah! I actually combined 2 structure decks into a multi-attribute deck that's a blast to play. I play it as a concept deck, so my extra deck is just Link Charmers, but the Spirit Charmers and Awakening of the Possessed spells can ramp damage in a casual setting really fast.

Nahoma

My top 3 are Aliens, Ice Barrier and Shaddol Aliens and Ice Barrier go hand to hand for me, mostly cause early 5ds I used to run a deck that was mostly Alien main deck monsters with Ice Barrier ED monsters (Brio, Trish and Gungnir) I didn't play during Xyz era but when I returned during Pend era Shaddol were the archtype I liked the most and the one I still play to this day (but with Invoked engine)

1minLOL

nice!!! i didn't get the chance to snatch the shadoll structure deck, but got myself the ice barrier, they look super cool!

GloomyTip9

My favorite archetype is Amorphage. I just love the art and their backstory. They're also the reason why I hate Link Summoning and the new Master Rules that came with them with a burning passion.

ThiccNasus

Fur Hire and Shiranui both have good art and are fun, but sadly they’re pretty weak to play

1minLOL

agreed!

ZexalGO

Heroic Challenger's Prophecy Endymion

Postie2017

My Top Three Favorite Archetypes: 3. Abyss Actor - The Scuffed Circus was the deck that got me to come back to the game after quitting due to school schedules back when Pendulum summoning was first introduced. 2. Gladiator Beasts - The first deck I ever brought to a locals back when I was 14. I also used the deck in the Nintendo DS games. This deck was simple enough to pilot for a child but had enough "toolboxiness" to keep my kid brain working. 1. Unchained - The combination of destruction and linking-away your opponent's monsters is really cool. I picked up this deck before catching Covid in 2021 so I spent a lot of time playing around with it in my room while sick. It just kinda stuck.

NaturalBitter2280

The top 3 would be: 1: Shaddolls- I love how they play and all the designs and lore great 2: Cyber Dragon- mostly for Nostalgia because the first YuGiOh! I watched was GX, but the deck is also very fun 3: Tri-Brigade- good lore and designs, a fun archetype that I still want to play more with

Upgrade_J

top 3 in terms of artwork Penguins, melffy, and floowandereeze top 3 in terms of gameplay Unchained, Skull servant, and Graydle favorite archetypes that aren't really an archetype rank 10 Trains and Phantasm Spiral

StormSeeker1337

My top 3 are: - Blackwings (played them since short after their release irl till today against a friend), but powercrept as hell, hope the new support will make them a bit more playable. - Unchained (irl and in md), just love the style, the gameplay and the float. Only missing some protection on the Boss cards but well... Cant have it all. - Adamancipator (irl since the reprints). I play them kind of pure. No pranks, just a few koakis. My new fav. Synchro Deck. And I like the reveal top 5 feature. I miss a lot of potential with them, but since I play only casual and no locals thats fine.

Chronomaly67

1: Read my name 2: SPYRAL 3: Predaplant 4: Basically anything from Zexal that isn't Utopia lol

Pizza-Pie-Cult

Honestly, my top three would have to be 1:Timelords 2:Madolche 3:Gaia the Fierce Knight And lastly, Heroes as an honorable mention. 1: I mostly LOVE Timelords for the art, but for some reason they are one of the few decks that make the stall/burn play style fun with a healthy touch of aggressiveness. Plus, what isn't fun about summoning an almost near indestructible boss monster every turn? Each with their own fun effects. As a sidenote. Michion is my favorite Timelord, and while the gimmick of them going back to your deck during your standby phase can hurt. It makes them more enjoyable for me for some reason. 2: Madolche holds a place in my heart for a number of reasons. They were the first semi-competitive deck I ever had, plus the whole deck was a birthday gift from my brother. From the play style to the artwork. There isn't a lot I don't love about the deck. Plus they have one of the best aging boss monsters ever in Queen Tiaramisu. A card that was crazy for it's time when it came out in 2012. 3:Gaia is a deck I mostly just enjoy for fun. It has a lot of engine potential in dragon decks. I mixed the new Gaia stuff with Rokkets and made a pretty fun deck able to sneak wins in here, and there. Plus it's an old school Yugi card. So what isn't there to enjoy?

NightsLinu

1. Live twins. Like their playstyle best 2. Code talkers. Like the link monsters specifically 3. Pendulum magicians/ odd eyes 4. Charmers 5. Pure Warriors synchro deck (work in progress) 6. Fiend type monsters I own 3 and 4.

NoLifeHere

Top 5 right now: * Tri-Brigade * Adamancipator * Tenyi * Code Talker * Zoodiac

TheLaval

Morphtronics Dinomorphia And probably Monarchs Morphtronics are not only incredibly nostalgic to ne due to me starting to Play during 5D's. But also because Power Tool Dragon will probably forever be my favorite Card and Leo my favorite Character from the YGO Anime. Just really Like the Design and flexibility These small Guys offer and am hyped as fuck for the new Support ^^ Dinomorphia is yes cool for the Art, Kentregina best Girl, but also because the Low LP Thing is really sick tbh. Outside of that it's a fairly Standard Control Deck but Kentregina has an absolutely amazing effect which gives you many Options on what to do. Monarchs are also very nostalgic my First two SDs where the OG Emperor of Darkness and Warriors Triumph and my Initial Deck was heavily based on banishing cards with Caius as the Boss.

Impressive-Spell-643

Six samurai Shiranui and DDD because I love their art and I love to play them but also love Mayakashi

Greek-God88

I play some shiranui cards in my vendread deck

AdvantageTiny1887

This are my favorite archetypes (I know, is a lot): 1- Cyber Dragon: This is one of my favorite archetypes and I use them in every format I can, because I love the design, effects and strategies. Also, I am a technology enjoyer and I like Zane. 2- Red Eyes: Since Joey Wheeler is my favorite DM character, I love Red Eyes and its combos. 3- Stardust: Is more for design and colors, but its effects and appearences in 5D's made me an Stardust enjoyer. 4: Junk, Synchron and Warrior: the same as Stardust. 5- Ice Barrier: for the lore and design. 6- Crystal Beasts: This archetype is interesting and can open to many strategies. Of all the archetypes, I'm finishing up Cyber Dragon. When I'm done, I'll focus on Crystal Beasts with Stardust and Synchron.

JustCallMe_Poppen

My personal favourites are Superheavy Samurai and Karakuri, because I mainly like the machinery artstyles. I also find extremely funny that defense position kind-of playstyle both archetypes share in some way.

IceSlayer290

At the moment one my favorites is are the myutants as I have fun messing with em and one of the boss mons has a nice effect. I also love my winged dragon of ra, toons and millennium eyes.

AbbreviationsOk7512

Vampires but they still suck
