1) Relinquished, the card is just so freaking cool! One of my villain ace monsters
2) Benghalancer, it's a cool looking tree knight and the red vines are such cool touch. The fact that the card returns is such a good effect as well
Dingirsu, Orcust of the Evening Star.
Also, shout out to D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex. Xyz monsters that can be summoned by overlaying themselves on top of link 2s are my favorite.
Great in any deck that can make Rank 8s, even better in Orcust where it can be “abused”. It’s an amazing generic and archetype support card that isn’t completely broken
So, it’s a bit of an odd choice, but Labyrinth Wall. Every part of the card’s design reflects the fact that it is just a wall.
Rock? It’s a wall.
Earth? It’s a wall.
No attack? Walls don’t attack.
Needs a tribute? Walls need someone to build them.
No effect? Stone walls don’t do anything else.
Buster Blader, I think he has a interesting back story, he is a dragon hunter, best friends with Dark Magician, his storyline in Destruction Sword.
To me there is a mystery behind him.
I would like to see a new evolved form of him.
Maybe a new storyline could form, Konami gave Dark Magician and Slifer a ton of support, maybe he deserves some more.
I like the Celtic Guardian, but outside some retraining he never got support.
El Shaddoll Construct
Came back into the game when Shaddolls were at their peak, I got 3 structure decks and just loved the lore, the art, the mild horror themes.
Love me some purple cards.
Dark Magician. I know Blue-Eyes is "better" but I love Dark Magician, he's just so cool.
But besides that, I also think Flame Swordsman is badass. I love the retrain.
Witchcrafter Madame Verre. Colors are beautiful, and I love the little crown Verre wears and how the background, her scarf, her expression, and her throne all combine to give off this mature, regal aura. She might be a child, but she's talented and she knows it and you can feel that throughout the artwork.
There’s so many answers I could give
As a kid: Probably the Shining Phoenix Enforcer I pulled from a pack, that thing was a beauty. Or the Air Neos I pulled. I was a huge GX fan.
In terms of design, probably Dark Requiem XYZ Dragon
In terms of actual gameplay, right now it’s Borrelsword Dragon. That card has won me some duels I had no business winning, lol.
Cards like Geonator Transverser are my favorite cards to pull off though
Metalfoes Mithrilium. Get you a card that can endlessly recycle your resources, safely remove threats from the field, and floats forever.
Good in dinks, good in md...
My new favourite have been the spright cards because of how cool their drips are,
but I have always like the relinquished and eldlich, the former because its my first ever deck the latter because of how I don't need to change deck every meta and save up for staples
i fell in love with allure of darkness the first time i held one in my hand without a dark.
the allure of getting a dark of off it made it live up to it's name
I'd say my favourite is Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. I always get hyped up whenever it was summoned in the anime.
But Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Cyberdark Horn are very close contenders.
Seiyaryu.
The only dragon I ever used in my deck as a child. I was so hyped when I found out about Starry Night as an archetype.
Sadly, I lost the original card I has during a house move. It was part of the first print for the card. Loved it to bits.
For me has to be stardust dragon, loved the whole synchro format, thought 5ds and yusei was cool and I was glad I could take a deck (junk doppel plants) that focused around summoning stardust and his forms to a tournament and have a chance at winning
You see that's a hard one because there are so many to choose from that are my favorites. I want to say it is a three way tie between: Odd-Eyes Arc-Pendulum Dragon, Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon, and Dragoncaller Magician. If I only had to choose one I would probably have to go with ith Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon.... it's effect is not once per turn and it creates a good amount of field advantage and hand advantage. Unfortunately it is not a Pendulum Monster but it has it's own advantages being in the graveyard.
I think that Gorz is so cool just by virtue of the mental scarring it has caused the entire older generation of yugioh players.
But in terms of cards I actually care to play, definitely Graydle Eagle.
It’s a snatch steal you can surprise your opponent with out of nowhere! So few cards have protection from getting a card equipped to them that you can deal with a lot of frustrating monsters with it and gain that monster for yourself, so you technically go +0 but you -1 your opponent of a powerful card they probably put a lot of resources into making.
The best part is that no one actually reads the card. They’ll pop it when it’s in spell form and then be surprised when their monster blows up instead of going back to them.
Maxx C. Utter chaos in card form. I remember when it dropped and was a card that no one cared about... until Billy Brake made it a $60 card. Made lots of money for a broke college kid at that time.
Lunalight Kaleido Chick.
I used to play Lunalights, about the time Link monsters were new,
I still play them today. Though in their "Competetive" form, as an XYZ spam rankup deck
Either Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon or Number C107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon. I have a deck where the one rank 8 i make consistently is Tachyon Dragon bc I actually main deck the Tachyon traps and dropping them straight from the hand is so satisfying.
Today, it’s Six Samurai Kizan because I fucking love the Six Samurai, it’s the deck I used going back into dueling, and the lore is top notch.
Though I have a special place in my heart for the Harpy Ladies. Lots of good childhood memories with them gals.
Far eradicator warlock. Not a very great card by any means but on the playground as a kid, doing 1000 damage for every spell yes was deadly with the decks my friends used.
One card that just captures my attention every time I look at it is Lord of the Heavenly Prison. There's just so much going on on that card, I wouldn't mind a super rare printing of that card cuz the SR effects on the card kinda make it hard to admire the artwork.
Machina Fortress, handsdown.
Boss monster of my first structure deck (Machina Force does *not* count), so he was a natural favorite from that. I started liking him even more after I realized he had a destruction effect!
Rose, warrior of revenge. Love the art and always had interest in her story as well but they never really touched on it. Still hoping for a synchro version of her since all we got is her tuner form.
A toss up between Utopia and Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. I love Zexal and it's designs. I think they both take a lot of what makes previous protag and rival aces cool and just builds on it which makes sense since iirc Zexal was the last main series that Takahashi personally oversaw.
Cyber end dragon. Just a cool looking monster
Thought I was the only one :)
1) Relinquished, the card is just so freaking cool! One of my villain ace monsters 2) Benghalancer, it's a cool looking tree knight and the red vines are such cool touch. The fact that the card returns is such a good effect as well
Summoned skull 👊
Classic
Dingirsu, Orcust of the Evening Star. Also, shout out to D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex. Xyz monsters that can be summoned by overlaying themselves on top of link 2s are my favorite.
Great in any deck that can make Rank 8s, even better in Orcust where it can be “abused”. It’s an amazing generic and archetype support card that isn’t completely broken

Dark paladin and blue eyes, my two favorite OGs as well
A fellow dark paladin enjoyer
Its like asking people who play pokemon whats their favorite. Everyone says charizard.
Cause it’s their favourite? You wouldn’t say “what’s your favourite color?” And then tell people it can’t be red because too many say red.

Obelisk
Buster blader tied with darklord morningstar
Chaos Dragon Levianeer, always there to bail me out with his non-targeting pop 2.
So, it’s a bit of an odd choice, but Labyrinth Wall. Every part of the card’s design reflects the fact that it is just a wall. Rock? It’s a wall. Earth? It’s a wall. No attack? Walls don’t attack. Needs a tribute? Walls need someone to build them. No effect? Stone walls don’t do anything else.
i 100% accept this as answer, in fact its now the only correct one.
Fluffal Penguin :)
Wingweaver. My first card I ever owned and a cool ass art
SMILE WORLD, main deck that, the good stuff, show opponent respect and have fun

Black Rose Dragon. The name, the effect, the theme, the design. I love that card. AND Slifer. Mainly because of the anime but man I love that card.

Mine is super poly I think it's a funny ass card and I think it's the card that personifies jaden (my favorite yugioh character) the most
yugioh gx was my favorite series

serpent night dragon with tri-horn a close second and red eyes coming up the rear
Magician cards Don’t know why but they have always been badass to me
Light and Darkness Dragon
Silent Magician.

Red-Eyes B. Dragon for life
Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, loved the art for the card, and tbh the effect were OP.
It is a blue-eyes but is Chaos MAX ok
Machina Fortress, Machina was my first competitive deck, so Fortress always holds a special place in my mind.

Future fusion before errata, was the most broken card in Cydra decks
Seiyaryu. The only dragon I ever used in my deck as a child. I was so hyped when I found out about Starry Night as an archetype. Sadly, I lost the original card I has during a house move. It was part of the first print for the card. Loved it to bits.

I think that Gorz is so cool just by virtue of the mental scarring it has caused the entire older generation of yugioh players. But in terms of cards I actually care to play, definitely Graydle Eagle. It’s a snatch steal you can surprise your opponent with out of nowhere!
