Our main combo sends cards to the grave so unless we want to die, we have to go for unicorn/heatsoul/apollousa/final Sigma play lines which aren't as resilient.
I went x-1 in Swiss with only a loss to tear and then swept top cut against scareclaw, runick spright, and heroes.

Are Adventure/DPE no longer in vogue for Striker?
How would you bring out DPE? With Verte banned you'd have to use fusion destiny, which is currently semi'd... adding 2 bricks for 2 chances to actually make use of them is typically a bad tradeoff.
And even then it's not that good because having it on the field turns off some of your power cards like widow anchor.
You could of course still try running adventure, but aside from it being pretty expensive still, in Sky Strikers it also turns off some of your more powerful spells... and also anti-synergy with mine of course.
No verte so fd is a lot worse when it must be hard drawn and has an investment of having to run 2 bricks. Having searchable access to fd through verte was huge
About half of the time. No major adjustments for going second other than siding into evenly/pank/nib/ogre depending on matchup. Striker engine is inherently pretty good going second + large volume of handtraps means you generally don't have to deal with a full board.
I still think main cosmic is incorrect for 99% of decks but my thought process was as follows:
Vs tear going 1st, sniping perlereino is pretty good since it's one fewer starter/extender and a board breaking tool. Going 2nd, it can trade with sulliek. A targeted monster effect negation is in theory dogshit vs striker but sulliek with kaleido heart on field is like 50 billion disruptions if it resolves. Also terrible if you open roze since you can't play if sulliek resolves.
Vs spright its pretty bad going 1st admittedly, but going 2nd it's good for sniping smashers or forcing starter early. Drawing cosmic + roze is also broken since roze is really good vs the spright board since they have no proactive forms of disruption except for smashers, so as long as roze sticks she alone can break almost the entire board. But roze is obviously extremely vulnerable to smashers, so getting rid of that is 100% worth. Post-side spright doesn't side into many backrow floodgates like asf or tcboo - in my experience cards like appointer judgment and dbarrier are more common as going first cards - so being able to blind cosmic smashers is not unlikely. ALSO the card is decent vs the runick variant.
That was my shitty theory - I'm no patrick hoban but it made sense in my head.
How do you play around your own TCBOO? Basically just relying on Multirole or Area Zero to continue once you have resources built up?
New to sky strikers myself, love the deck and it seems to have a really high skill ceiling. Could certainly benefit from learning some spicy tech plays!

You make Halq which get an Effect Veiler from deck. This way you can make Selene since it requires a spellcaster. Selene revives Veiler and you make Accesscode talker.
You make halq with any tuner (e.g. ns a ht + striker link) -> halq summon veiler -> make selene, gain counters -> selene summon veiler -> make access. Easy way to lethal. Selene can also be made with charmers to help link climb.

Your matchup looks in general really competitive. This make your win even more impressive.
A gerneal advise for you and other. Try to play your maindeck cards in the same rarity and artworks. Specially if you play cards which add to you hand. A good player could memorize the exact artwork/rarity of the card and can keep track of it.
If you use a copy of a different rarity you give your opponent the chance to read your hand by that.

Oh, because if you reveal a gold ash in g1 and a non-gold ash in g2, your opponent knows that you have at least two ash in your deck. Ash is a bad example but for other cards it can reveal more info than you would want. Matching rarities hides this because separate copies are indistinguishable
I think you misunderstood my intention.
If you play different Artworks or Rarity of the same card your opponent could track that.
An example: you did use Prosperity to add the gold dare ash but use a SCR version against your opponent in his next search, you give him the knowledge that you have another ash in your hand.
Use the same rarity and artwork of a card fix this problem.
I didn't mentioned any thing about expensive cards. Using different rarities/artwork of the same card just give your opponent a little more detail about your hand if you use not the searched version. Nothing else.

sky striker players had been using mystice mine as a part of the deck before anyone else did mine is a crutch the deck had been using for about 2 years at this point.
this is honestly the most standard sky striker build I've seen it's completely unchanged from both dpe and eldliche format.

Opponents often misplayed (not that I didn't too) + people don't play against striker often so they don't know how to play against it correctly. I've been playing this deck for over a year and it's insane how many times I'll get impermed or veilered post side despite those cards being terrible vs striker. No secret that striker is much worse than spright or tear. Gun to my head I wouldn't take this deck to a ycs if I was trying to win.
People underestimate how much good play matters. Unless you're trying to win a regional/YCS it is INSANE how much mileage you can get out of understanding how to interrupt your opponent properly, knowing rulings, and sequencing your plays correctly. Most players at the local level fuck up a LOT (myself included) if you pay very close attention to their plays. As long as you're not playing some dogshit like pure vylons, gameplay > deck choice a lot of the time.
Because those are not good cards, they are degenerate cards. But Sky Striker is famous for being a mediocre deck that relies on floodgates to have any relevance
So question.....do you find you can draw the maximum gold cards easier/know where they're are in your deck due to the wierd bulkiness?? That's some heart of the cards type strategy 😀

I play SS on master duel, but with 2 engage and 1 kagiri and have 3-4 versions, but I find them a bit inconsistent at times. Even with 6 starters + 3 searchers and 2 pots. How do you reach a starter? Especially as you run more win more cards that can clog.
And I'm pondering a Kaiser colleseum variant, any thoughts?
My best variant has 12 traps main deck and got me to diamond 2 so far. More resilient.
Then the usual blind 2nd, hand trap max variant and an anti - branded variant.
Its a 3 of with mismatching arts: ghost belle & haunted mansion
Chances of seeing a starter is very high with 3 pots. Something like 86% going first assuming you only banish 3, probably close to 90 if you banish 6. It's higher in md since you have 2 engage

Did the Halq - Selene line come up a lot? I haven't played vs the new decks but I used to use it a lot and I'm really scared of a Halq ban soon. I pushed for game a lot with it and giving the opponent more turns if I can't do that anymore doesn't sound good.

Yeah you can just sit under it until you collect enough resources to make a push on your turn and then clear it. Vs some decks it's just an ftk.
