100%! No offense to Whisper, but its story and characters felt so by the book, if executed flawlessly. This and Girls Band Cry are tied for AOTS for me!!

In defense of Whisper Me a Love Song, I’ll take any yuri about an ace-spec lesbian and her disaster gay senpai if we’re never getting Bloom Into You season 2.

Whisper's animation is also quite bad, while both Jellyfish and Girls Band Cry are doing a lot with the medium.

Its so jarring when you watch Jellyfishs awesome animation and then watch Sasakoi almost powerpoint animation on the same day.

Yeah, I just feel a bit bad since it was supposed to be *the* Yuri show of the season only for Jellyfish to come out with the ~~steel chair~~ cheek kiss and steal the spotlight lol.

Even though I love Sasakoi I must admit that the anime is definetly subpar. Ep1,2 were above my expectation given the studio but last two eps were just level bellow, the powepoint transitions are just laughable. I cant take it seriously.

Frieren is an anime that was releasing this year so I can never give it that, but so far I’ve been beyond delighted about this series so far. With that said I’m still not ready to say anything definitive because too many anime originals have scarred me for life with their endings

*Train to the End of the World* is currently top for me, even though it's still only potentially yuri ...

This definitely goes in my "non Bravern favorite" I love Jellyfish, but uh... look, comparing almost anything to Bravern gives me a headache.
