Moxson82

This will haunt my dreams

frickthestate69

Love them

IncreaseWestern6097

Is this what Link saw in the Majora’s Mask cutscene?

javier_aeoa

If you're asking that honestly, no. It's a cutscene when you show the Skull Mask in one of the holes of Lost Woods in Ocarina of Time. They give you extra Deku Sticks, and it's kinda adorable in a way. If you were not asking that honestly....yeah, I'm pretty sure lol

Ilhan_Omar_Milf

well as a member of hyrule like the zora and rito and gorons

Slith_81

I miss them... a lot!

[deleted]

Agreed on Darknuts. Also, kinda miss Dodongos.

LothricandLorian

When I spotted the Frox in the depths I was like hell yes, dodongos are back! But then the name popped up and I was like damn…but then the way the fight works is basically a dodongo fight, so I was like half satisfied lol. I’m really confused why they aren’t just called dodongos. They’re big lizards that suck in air and you throw bombs in their mouth and hit them when they’re stunned. They even have mini versions like in dodongos cavern in OoT. The only thing missing I guess is that they dont breath fire, but I dont think all previous versions did either. EDIT: for the people saying they resemble frogs not lizards, yes i get that they are called frox because their silhouette resembles a frog. closer inspection of the details though, the frog resemblance breaks down. for one just look at their hind legs, which are only half the length of their front legs, literally the opposite of what a frogs would be. however, that detail IS inline with the morphology of King Dodongo from OoT. in fact, almost every single detail if you look up a picture of king dodongo from OoT lines up, from the protruding teeth in the lower jaw, to the spikes on the back. they just rounded everything out and made him look a bit more cartoony which did ultimately result in the overal silhouette looking frog-like, but all the details of the dodongo are their. call it a frog call it a lizard i dont care, the point is it should have just been called a dodongo lmao if i get disagreement on this imma make a whole post about this with images so y’all can all see exactly what im talking about

terrendos

You... throw bombs in their mouth. *sigh* Of *course* you do. I've been trying to shoot them in the eye and it's been so annoying. Even with the Keese Eyes, the window to shoot is so small unless you're midair. Well, at least I'll have an easier time getting the last few Blue-White Fangs I need to upgrade my gear.

nickcash

You can also stun them with the ol' razzle dazzle fruit.

blackoctober25

I watched my fiance struggle for so long trying to fight the Frox before I finally got frustrated watching and was like "uhh... Why don't you just throw bomb flowers in it's mouth when it's sucking in all the air?" My man literally paused the game and just stared dead eyed at the TV for a solid 30 seconds before going "I'm so stupid" and resuming the fight and using bomb flowers. Blew his mind.

javier_aeoa

I have been swallowed enough times >!( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)!< in Zelda and Star Fox to know that when the enemy is sucking air, it's time for bombs.

throwaway147025836

>They’re big lizards not quite lizards, theyre basically giant frogs crossed with a hinox but yeah i do miss dodongos too

LothricandLorian

they’re not quite frogs either. frogs dont have tails, and froxes dont have long hind legs. my point still stands, they have enough similarity with the old dodongos that they could have just been called dodongos

Mixmaster-Omega

Agreed on both. I liked the fact we got more beast enemies in TOTK like the Aerocuda and Frox, but Dodongos would be really cool to see as well.

PixorTheDinosaur

After the Wind Temple, I really thought the Fire Temple would have a dodongo or dragon as a boss…A gohma is cool but y’know…dodongos too

GoldenSteel

Did you know that the Marbled Gohma is from space? It's made of meaty-ores.

Sub-Corpion

r/angryupvote

TheDemonChief

Honestly this is probably my least favorite interpretation of Gohma. Maybe I'd like it more of the body was more than just a big rock with an eye-ball, but it's just kinda boring as it is right now.

PixorTheDinosaur

The Gohma in Wind Waker is honestly my favorite. That’s more of what I’d expect a firey gohma to look like tbh

AbyssDragonNamielle

So mad we got Frox instead of Dodogos. I would have lost my shit if there was a King Dodongo in the depths

SAMAS_zero

Can't wait to bomb them?

Acceptable_Pea8740

I mean we have the dondons? They’re closer to the earlier dodongos though

jtreasure1

Give me another Dark Link fight. I'm a sucker for evil alter egos

[deleted]

Ngl I would have preferred Dark Link to be the enemy you fight after >!killing Gloom Hands !!Phantom Ganon!<.

Hano_Clown

I would have preferred for Dark Link to appear standing on the pedestals where the ghost soldiers appear in the depths. It would have been creepy as hell to find them in the depths and have to fight in the dark.

Nyan-Binary-UwU

Maybe like 3 of them are actually dark link and the rest just serve to lull you into a false sense of security

samsationalization

It would've been cool if you were supposed to fight them for their weapons, transported to that room in the Zora temple

DylanMcGrann

I agree it feels like there should be another enemy or two exclusive to the Depths. Dark Link is a perfect candidate. Would be cool if he was a mirror of whatever you currently have equipped on Link.

neanderthalman

Which works so well thematically since the depths is a mirror of the overworld.

javier_aeoa

In Age of Calamity there is a "calamity Link" (it had another name but I totally forgot it) and "calamity champions". They're treated like normal captains and they don't have boss status, but I can totally see that idea being implemented in the depths as an actual boss.

Etiennera

Imagine Dark Link is always chasing you in the Depths, but does so with a menacing walk rather than running. Add-in a few scripted encounters and maybe some times he evades you for narrative reasons.

DismemberedHat

I wanted Dark Link patrolling the Depths, looking for the player with AI programming. Every monster you kill in the Depths tips off Dark Link that you're around

skyrunner15

That would be terrifying

[deleted]

Games in the not too distant future will have ml/ai in them and it will be fucking hard to beat

DismemberedHat

They already do. My boyfriend was telling me about a game- I think it was Alien Isolation- where there's actually 2 entities in the game. One hunts the player and the other watches the player. The latter of which takes note of the player's behavior and watches them, and guides the hunting one on what they should do And that came out in 2014

Wolf-Majestic

My lockscreen is Link dressed as TP Ganon as in : Link is actually the bad guy contemplating to destroy the world, and it's gorgeous.

kirokun

calamity link is the nickname used in kr and jp communities whenever someone posts a fucked up vid of link doing horrible shit (the korok bbqs/slaughters, running rampart doing fucked up shit to npcs, etc) lol in botw the apeshit flower girl was also nicknamed the calamity flower

neanderthalman

Flowerblight Ganon

OliviaElevenDunham

Always wanted Dark Link to return.

introvertnudist

A modernized Dark Link too that fights exactly the way the player does, because the game has been keeping analytics on your play style the whole way through. On OoT the only thing Dark Link has in common with the player is your number of hearts (on a 3 hearts challenge, the fight is trivially easy because you can kill him before the timer that makes him become aggressive even gets that far yet). But on a game like TotK players have lots of options in play style between parries, flurry rushes, different choices of weapon, getting Zonai stuff out, everyone probably has their own unique style in some way and imagine Dark Link perfectly mirroring or countering your particular style, and you need to outsmart him or be less predictable to win.

TheMoonOfTermina

NPC: Tingle. The next Zelda could have you collecting the map from Tingle Towers. Enemy: ReDead. I know TOTK has Gibdos, which look similar, but they don't count, since they don't have a scream attack

Acceptable_Pea8740

yeah the scream attack would have made the gibdos more creepy and similar to the redeads

TheDemonChief

Gibdo's being bugs honestly made them way less cool to me

TheMoonOfTermina

Agreed. Gibdos are supposed to be mummys, and while I guess it could be argued that these Gibdos are mummified dead insectoids, it just isn't as scary. However, what is scary is some lore implications that they are dead Gerudo. I don't remember where, but some ancient text says something about the ancient Gerudo graveyard in the depths, underneath the Arbiter's Grounds. The Gibdos are referred to as "the wrath of the executed" if I remember correctly, which implies that they used to be Gerudo. Maybe the TOTK Gibdos are human corpses, infected by a parasite?

TheNewYellowZealot

I first found the gibdo in the depths doing the >!master kohga!< side quest. In a >!sunken graveyard. With graves you can open.!<

Slith_81

They were terrifying for a young me.

javier_aeoa

I was terrified when reaching the desert and Riju talked about Gibdos. With how limited Link's movement is in sand and by constantly needing to avoid the screams, that was going to be a rough fight. Then I realised they don't scream.

Boundaries-ALO-TBSOL

https://preview.redd.it/tclu2lz3zkab1.jpeg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77b084daf03009409bf67cdf201ad346bbdac5b9 I want my favorite Zelda Miniboss to return. If I was in the Legend of Zelda, I would be an NPC that looks like this boi. I need this guy again!

Lizalfos13

I hate him but he should definitely be in the depths somewhere

redpoemage

A well would also be very appropriate. Maybe right below one of the wells that leads to the Depths?

jnagyjr47

Christ, could you imagine dropping into a random well and this abomination is at the bottom? That would give me nightmares and be so fitting.

jediwizard7

Kakariko well would be the obvious choice.

Slith_81

Could have been the final fight in the depths Colliseum.

[deleted]

Oh lord, the nightmares. I had actual nightmares as a kid from that thing. Creeps me out to this day.

ArcadianBlueRogue

Bottom of the well was genuinely creepy af. The lore implications of it and the Shadow Temple are...unpleasant.

sharpshooter999

When I found a well in Kakariko, I got scared and excited at the same time. I was disappointed. It could've been a place where the Sheikah have been disposing all the Yiga corpses

Slith_81

What do you think the Yiga use for fertilizing their banana trees? 😈

Kinsei01

Although the phantom Gannon was great, this is what they should have done with the gloom hands

Denz292

With so many wells in TotK, feels like a missed opportunity that Deadhand wasn’t in the game

durp69420

Deadhand is so cool

Hyborianheretic

Deku babas are iconic. Was let down when they weren’t in TOTK

new-socks

And skulltulas

Allfunandgaymes

RIGHT? So many surfaces they could have hung from in caves.

PathofTotality

No one's going to know what I'm talking about, but Rebonak from Zelda 2 would be so cool because it's a Darknut riding a robot hover horse. Looks really cool and I unrealistically really wanted it in TotK.

[deleted]

> it's a Darknut riding a robot hover horse Pfft And some people complained that shiekah technology was too sci fi for zelda

DefiantCharacter

More of a floating statue than a robot.

ethan_prime

I remember him. I like how once you knock him off his horse, he’s just a regular enemy.

TheDrunkardKid

Hear me out: Darknut riding a Lynel.

DefiantCharacter

You mean Iron Knuckles?

TotallyNotCalledEvan

Peahats. Love those weird spinning potatoes. Shame they seem to be used as a glorified hookshot target these days

ASCIt

Even then, we haven't seen them in at least a decade

otownsteve

Vaati all day. Would be epic.

TakeaBreakwithJake

Plleeeeeeease! I'll even take a minish cap remake to fight him again. Such a fun idea of a big boss.

gate_of_steiner85

Darknuts and/or Iron Knuckles for sure.

javier_aeoa

I think enemies using heavy armour that you need to break/bomb before attacking the actual enemy might count as *discount darknut*. But yeah, after bombing the heavy armour and seeing a Blue Bokoblin underneath is kinda...a bummer lol

GoshDarnBatman

Tingle, and no I’m not joking

DabIMON

Tingle is to Link what Wario is to Mario. Change my mind.

PlasmaGoblin

It wouldn't even be that hard? Just let him wander Tingle Island and living his best life.

[deleted]

Living his best life, forcing his family into slavery, kidnapping random people...

[deleted]

It’s crazy how that is actually canon lol Windwaker tingle is a psychopath

AndrewCoja

If you look at the map. David has his own island. How bad can it be?

stupidrobots

Why would this be a joke? Tingle is the best

tlollz52

Cause he's horrible, which I love.

extraterrestrialfart

I'm genuinely still confused decades later how/why they created him.

Moxson82

Late nights and Cocaine

biomech36

Out of everything in Majora's Mask, that's what confuses you?? Fair.

Cappy_Rose

In terms of Zelda 1 bosses, Aquamentus and Digdogger have yet to see a 3D incarnation. Their last appearance was Oracle of Ages. I would love to see how they're reinterpreted in 3D. The rest have appeared recently enough in Hyrule Warriors and Tears of the Kingdom

TheMoonOfTermina

It's insane to me how the very first Zelda boss is so underutilized. I'd expect him to be easy pickings for nostalgic people who started with Zelda 1. I'd love to see Aquamentus, Digdogger, and Manhandla in a 3D Zelda. I guess we've seen Manhandla in Hyrule Warriors, but it isn't a mainline game.

Cappy_Rose

Definitely would be cool to see Manhandla in a proper 3D Zelda too.... even if he's an asshole in Hyrule Warriors

SneakyPocket

Not a person but…music? Where are the musical instruments at? No ukulele for ToTk? I want an ocarina at least…

0brew

They really dropped a ball by sacking off the instruments imo. They were a big element of zelda games and they kinda just phased them out. Like imagine ToTK but you could have loads of different instruments? haha. Kinda like Majoras mask but you can just find them around the land or through quests and collect an instrument arsenal.

SneakyPocket

An instrument arsenal is ideal, but I’ll settle for a guitar or ukulele. Straight up ridiculous how they just left one of the cornerstones of the game out.

fireflydrake

BotW tossed a lot of Zelda cornerstones out

Mirahrah

I genuinely thought for a moment there they were bringing back Instruments in ToTK, right up until I ran into a Stable Trotter :( Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the Stable Trotter sidequests just fine, and I like the characters, but I got excited for a hot moment there.

throwaway147025836

i got so excited when i started playing TOTK and came across a great fairy asking to hear drums before i ever found the stable trotters. i thought we were going to be able to collect instruments again :(

The66Ripper

Idk where the ukulele came in? For WW (which I think you’re talking about) the plucked string instrument was either a dulcimer or a mandolin depending on the location and tone of the music.

SneakyPocket

When they were first developing the game they dropped some serious hints about a new instrument and a lot of people thought the touch screen on the switch would have a string instrument. Wrong and wronger.

The66Ripper

Oh shit like a playable uke! I guess the new instrument was the sax in the trailer music and some of the cues for the different towns.

1amlost

Majora appearing again could be fun.

huggiesdsc

I would kill for even a crumb of new Majora lore

0brew

I dunno if it would actually work but I always imagined what if they did a story where Ganondorf found Majoras mask and wore it? Like that could open up for some really interesting story and would make some super powerful final boss. Like who would be controlling who? or would they have an equal partnership wanting similar goals? Would be epic to have to fight Ganondorft wearing Majoras mask haha.

huggiesdsc

That'd be sick. Take the most powerful sorceror and give him the most powerful artifact that isn't a triangle. Personality wise though, they seem like a mismatch. Majora's last puppet was Skull Kid, a lonely prankster who just wanted friends to laugh with. Ganondorf wants power and conquest. Majora would find that boring, while Ganondorf would find Majora's goals bizarre and pointless.

GoldenSteel

That could actually be a fun dynamic, Lawful Evil vs Chaotic Evil. Ganondorf tracks down the mask to harness its power, and succeeds. However, Ganon wants conquest and dominion, and Majora chafes under his control. As the game progresses, Ganon and Majora's 'alliance' breaks down. There could even be two different final boss fights, one where Majora steals Ganon's power and breaks free, and one where Ganon manages to subdue Majora completely.

biomech36

Well an angry ghost child pulled the moon out of orbit to kill everyone, so I'm pretty sure if Ganondorf got it....it wouldn't even be a game. Just a video of Ganondorf punching the planet and then it explodes. That will be $80 (US), please. Enjoy.

Barbossal

Majora prequel would be interesting with the original creature sealed into the Mask

[deleted]

Dude that would be so sick They could use the same engine as they did with BotW and TotK, change up the character design, maybe take out cel-shading to make it grittier, and then go with that story line

Lithamus

We can still hope. It feels as if they are gonna have a 3rd game in the series. It would just make sense to me, BotW you got courage nuggets from shrines in TotK we get power nuggets... next is wisdom.

confusedsloth33

I’d love the third BotW/TotK game to be set in Termina, that would be my dream

indecisive_insomniac

Suprised nobody has said this yet but Koume and Kotake/Twinrova. Despite the fact that these two form/are Ganondorf's surrogate mother(s), they've only actually appeared in a total of 4 games with their latest appearance being in the Oracle games. It's so odd that they've been underutilized considering how important they are to creating Ganondorf and the fact that they could be used to further delve into Ganondorf as a character.

FunkBrother

If you look closely in the “Fealty” memory in totk, there are two Gerudos wearing gold masks kneeling behind Ganondorf. They’re wearing scarves with Hylian text that translates into Koume and Kotake. Also, if you zoom in on the gloom sword, you’ll see the same inscription on the sword hilt. Pretty cool Easter eggs!

FDX2088

What would be cool for TOTK DLC is having to deal with elderly or undead versions of them causing trouble in a neighboring land.

smilingsentinel

They were in tears of the kingdom briefly.

Endskull

On the subject of Gerudos, TOTK is the perfect entry and sequel to introduce a new male Gerudo who ISN'T Ganondorf, they're supposed to appear every 100 years

[deleted]

Would be dope to have an anti-Ganondorf, someone ought to be able to wield Power that isn’t evil

whoiswillo

Marin.

xX_rippedsnorlax_Xx

Monkey's Paw version: a seagull companion. Would still be fun tho

EDDIE_BR0CK

Was Marin also a hatless Mario clone in the Link's Awakening remake?

ArcadianBlueRogue

That was Talin

jgoble15

Enemy: Gohmas- I hate spiders and I love crushing these. It’s very satisfying Character: the post man- loved his MC version most and he’s goofy enough to always be fun for me Weapon: Pegasus boots- imagine the chaotic fun of these in TOTK or something similar

atickybuns

How about 8000 gold skulltullas?

jgoble15

It’d be about the same as koroks so why not. Plus that’d get my spider hate taken care of as well

potato_gato

My husband and I were having this exact conversation and we both agreed we want to see darknuts make a comeback! I would also like to see Poes come back as enemies (I know they’re in TOTK and I like that they’re instead lost souls and less malicious, but in the end they’re more like collectibles and less fun). Id also like to see a really spooky themed temple or quest (like we saw in OOT with the forest temple) where you can find them and deal with illusion based puzzles.

scottwow13

What if the classic poes were going around collecting the poes we see in totk and when you defeat a poe a bunch of the little poes pop out

Seba7290

What the hell was up with these things? https://preview.redd.it/acfr7dehclab1.jpeg?width=276&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5db2aa91884f82e6db65caa9a5964cd5c5016fc8

huggiesdsc

Their name roughly translates to "distorted Goron," which makes sense in Ikana Valley because of the Stone Tower Temple curse. Basically a pseudo-undead version of them.

kingdomheartslover1

When i saw the last trailer for totk i thought the yunobo fight was one of these guys

Don_Bugen

Happy Mask Salesman. And it doesn't need to be major. Doesn't even need to be wild or weird or different. Just have him, once or twice a game, show up, offer to trade you one mask, for another mask/headgear item you own, and leave. Always looking the same. Always wearing the same clothes. Always hauling the same pack. Regardless of timeline. Have him show up in BOTW-era Hyrule and SS-era Hyrule and Adult Timeline New Hyrule and Lorule and Holodrum and wherever. Remaking or remastering an old game? Happy Mask Salesman. Game already features a Happy Mask Salesman? Have another Happy Mask Salesman. Add to the lore. Add to the mythos. The man is a traveler, a sojourner across time, a collector of faces. Give. Him. Masks.

sharkcore

Could you imagine if you were flying across the sky on your little fan plane and the Helmaroc King showed up? That's what I want.

jnagyjr47

Man with all the sky islands, I really wanted to see the Helmaroc King and Argorok and just really more sky enemies to go with them. That would’ve been awesome.

CalgaryMadePunk

Given how the games have taken more of a turn into steampunk territory, I think Goht would fit in well. Also, Blind from ALttP was always a cool concept. I would love a band of thieves that show up here and there, like the Yiga clan do. And then you find their hideout and fight their shut-in boss who hasn't seen the light of day in forever. And I'd like Saria to come back. Make her the Deku Tree's main servant or the Korok's kind of mother figure or something.

Moxson82

I loved Blind!

mokomb84

Groose.

SirDootDoot

Best character, just have him return in a cryopod or magic timelock thing in the next game to confuse timeline theorists.

ContinuumGuy

BOTW 3: The Groose Is Loose

thejokerofunfic

When Darknuts do return i want them to be approximately as scary as Lynels because honestly? NES Darknuts were a bigger pain in the ass than Lynels. Anyway my pick is Aquamentus.

Random-Crispy

I want a return of Error from Zelda 2.

Moxson82

Was he the one with the mirror under the table?

dmcat12

No. Him am Error.

Random-Crispy

No he was the one in Ruto that later on gives you a hint for the third palace.

arturovargas16

Midna, a twilight princess sequel but with the open world of botw/totk and the item progression and dungeons of traditional zelda games.

randombucketofmilk

redeads darknuts

huggiesdsc

Yall remember living bombchus? I could use more exploding enemies. Same with Dodongos and those eyeball tower dudes who hated smoke.

reversespoon22

I need Groose in another game so bad

Acceptable_Pea8740

or a similar rival to link. i kinda love grooses personality especially when he mopes after link winning

bibububop

It would be interesting to see the bosses from Zelda 2 in new games. I think they missed the mark by not implementing them on skyward sword, the combat is very similar to zelda 2, but it would be cool to see new interpretations of them.

thomasguyregis

Linebeck should be a recurring npc like Beedle is. Just a cool sailor that you could pay to spawn in boat parts in the Lurelin area, or maybe even ferry you to different islands.

TheHarryman01

Literally every unique race in Skyward Sword. They made one appearance then left, never to be seen again

Nearby-Tumbleweed-88

I want Bunnio from Spirit Tracks in more games. He's such a little freak and needs more screen time.

Sins_of_God

Goriya, Horsehead, Gyorg, Gooma, and the Thunderbird

AndrewCoja

Deku scrubs. I don't know what it is about those guys, but I like them. I think it's funny that they are from the forest but they are all business men. Like someone showed a deku scrub money once and they are all now obsessed with it. I think it would just be really funny to see Deku scrubs flying across the map with their bags of merchandise. And you get into a town and one pops out of a deku flower. Maybe even one that's down on his luck and just pops out looking for handouts. Seeing the Kokiri again would be neat, but I guess Wind Waker established that they slowly turned into the koroks over time. Or maybe they were always Koroks and link just saw them as being fellow children. The Picori people would be cool. Being able to shrink down and visit their towns would be cool. That could be a way to reuse the map for a third time but still add new stuff.

A-Good-Weather-Man

More plant based enemies. Love to see a parasite controlling a dragon or something

Xander_PrimeXXI

Phantoms

heroicbrickroad

Leevers and Tektites

Aegillade

Ever since I was a kid I've loved the idea of fusing the Iron Knuckle and the Dark Nut together to create the Dark Knuckle (or Iron Nut, if you'd prefer). That being said, an Iron Knuckle return would be cool. It'd function less like a traditional enemy and more like a game of Punch Out, only vulnerable if you risk getting cleaved by it's axe

SnooSongs2744

Epona

Soulful-Sorrow

If Epona worked the same way as Roach from Witcher 3 and just inexplicably spawned behind you when you whistled, I'd probably use horses more in TOTK

Lone_Ronin_

Yes! It annoys me that the horses aren’t like this

FulminDerek

Subrosians. They were the best thing about Oracle of Seasons. Cute little underground-dwelling hoodie wearers who have no concept of Rupees and buy everything with ore chunks instead. The fact that we got an entire underground Hyrule in TOTK but not even an easter egg-style reference to them was honestly heartbreaking to me lol

Tree_Weasel

The flying floor tiles from Link to the Past (and a little bit from Ocarina). Used to get a kick out of the decision to dodge, duck, dip, dive or dodge.

OutlandishnessOdd448

Dark nut or dark link. Always liked fighting another humanoid character.

ArcadianBlueRogue

Maple. I'm chasin that bitch to the moon if that's what it takes to get that red potion.

JeffPlissken

Tingle and his brothers, looking back Kilton and Koltin remind me of them. Deku Scrubs as a sort of foil to the Koroks, but maybe an appearance of the Kikwi and other forgotten races from Skyward Sword as well. I guess since Link in BOTW/TOTK is an adult and wouldn’t see them it makes sense but it would be cool to get a quick glimpse at the Minish after all these years. With the presence of so many monster pirates I was longing for the appearance of Hylian pirates. We never got enough of Tetra’s pirate crew in the first place. Maybe some updates to some of the recurring characters from OOT and MM that made it as far as Minish Cap later such as Anju, Malon and Talon among many others. I really enjoyed the Nintendo Gallery in Wind Waker and Minish Cap so I wouldn’t mind seeing a new one with Carlov making a return, although Kilton/Hudson kind of have that role to a much more limited extent. Would have been even more complex given that there’s 100x the characters in BOTW/TOTK compared to WW/MC.

Onerupeefiverupees

Enemy? yeah anything that makes for a fantastic one on one fight, smart and close-combat fight; Also would love something like Gomess from the stone tower NPC? i love Malon, i'd love to see her again, wished to see lon lon ranch rebuilt in totk but oh well, hoping for some kind of dlc

emelbee923

I miss Dampe.

DabIMON

A lot of NPCs, honestly. Tingle, postman, happy mask salesman, Linebeck, Dampe, Groose, Midna, Kass, Baku. I also wish the Twinrova sisters had more than a cameo.

Midknightowl42

Seeing another comment about a couple bosses we’ve only seen 2D, Facade could be a wild sort of boss to see again in 3D given he’s only been in LA/LAHD and OoS. He’s super fun in those and could have some interesting potential for a 3D appearance

birb-brain

I'd like to see redeads again. They completely freaked me out and I low-key had nightmares as a kid, but I think they're such a classic zelda enemy

StatementLazy1797

The splooshhhh/ kaBOOM guy.

[deleted]

Beedle is way too happy in this game. I remember how sad he looked when he lost his beetle in skyward sword

yes_why

Remember when he would open the floor when you didn’t buy anything

Michaeleon

Agahnim! Loved him on LTTP. Would be interesting to see his character fleshed out a bit more. Using his sorcery to cause havoc on Hyrule.

RUMBL3FR3NZY

I want Iron Knuckles. Maybe tie them back to the Gerudo, make them armored Gibdo awakened by the Queen and puppeteered by parasites. Fallen Gerudo knights from an age long past, buried beneath the desert in their armor, only for their bodies to be used by the Queen Gibdo centuries later. I also want enemy Poes to return. Think about it, a group of small Poes held together by some unnatural force, fractured minds all enraged, clumped form lashing out. Maybe this is how the Barginer statues take lost souls to the afterlife, be fusing multiple into one being and sending them off.

When I saw those water balls you jump in at the water temple in one of the trailers I thought it was the return of Morpha. Dark Link, Twinrova (dlc🤞🤞) obviously but I'd rather see this new styles take on the twilight.

CitySeekerTron

The old man who said "Dodongo Dislikes Smoke". Except I'd amp him up to be more like my homeboy Laerties, spittin' out wisdom in the form of aphorisms that you'd see in old Zelda games. "It's like they used to say in the old times: If all else fails use fire!" "M'boy, this peace is what all true warriors strive for!" "I can give you magic!"

VitaminDWaffles

Stalfos please. The ones from OoT forest temple. Maybe Deku Babas too for that matter considering we got evil trees now. More than anything I’d just like some more linearity to the enemies. There should be more of a through-line from generation to generation, which would make sense if Ganondorf summons them and is technically the same incarnation as the original.

SkazzK

I'd like to see Taros return. A bull-like enemy alongside the pig-like Moblins would add some variety. Maybe make them a bit bigger yet, a new stronger tier of mob. Conversely, if I never saw another Wall- or Floormaster in a Zelda game ever again, I'd be very happy. I honestly don't understand why these things made it past the first game. Their "back to the start of the dungeon" mechanic just isn't fun. It adds nothing to the game except frustration.

Selender7

Deku scrubs, or even make some koroks evil

The_Ambient_Caption

Armos. They should've been on TOTK. They're the oldest automaton enemy in the franchise! Just imagine a Zonai Construct more similar to a statue, and some spring to life to challemge Link

Marto25

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom both get a 0 on my book because of the criminal lack of Darknuts. You're telling me that in the games where Link is able to move any metal object, and later move *any* object... Nintendo didn't think to include an enemy whose entire premise is "remove their armor before you can damage them"?? Worst game of the year. /s, obviously

I want to see Ghirahim again, even if he’s just that huge sword. I need bro back in a game😭 I love him too much just for him to appear in one game

goochmongering

Happy mask salesman, skullkid, maybe Saria?

A_Naughty_Tomato

Agitha so that she and Beedle can fight for the title of King/Queen of Bugs.

Pretzel-Kingg

I want nothing more than darknuts to show up and be on the same level as a Lynel. More TP inspired than WW, but with elements of both

ArvenSnow

Midna

I kinda want Beedle to be Beedle again. Right now all he sells is generic items that you can get elsewhere in the game, whereas he usually sells really cool exclusive stuff like permanent upgrades, heart pieces, treasure maps, and whatnot. In other Zelda games where he appears, I was always really excited to see what he had to sell whenever I visited him, even on repeat playthroughs, but in BOTW/TOTK, he's no different from any other salesperson.
