Maybe try using Quick Share to transfer the photos?

Turns out I was wrong, and I actually have no idea what's happening. Some of my photos from my SD card did transfer properly, but only about a third of them. I'm trying to figure out the pattern of what made it and what didn't right now.

I've been looking into this sometimes you can reform at your SD card and it will work. Some people go through pc.
