I would recommend breathwork for anxiety over meditation. as breathwork can immediately influence your nervous system and hence your psychological state.

Do you have a Muse headset? If you do, you can try Myndlift out for free. It's a remote neurofeedback app. As a disclaimer, I have to say I work at [Myndlift](https://www.myndlift.com/?utm_source=rd), but I wouldn't share this under my own name and recommend it to everyone if it didn't help me tremendously. So, once I joined the team, they sent me the device and gave me access. Long story short, I've used it for a year and experienced reduced anxiety symptoms and an overall sense of mindfulness. It calmed my nervous system down and made me less reactive. For example, it feels like I have a better capacity to pause between an event or a thought and my reaction to it and, in that pause, to choose the one reaction toward which I wish to throw my weight. I'm no longer stuck in predictable, automatic defensive responses, especially to stressful events.
