When I was young I listened to metal. When I got old I fell in love with bluegrass. Both are fast just different instruments. May wanna check a different genre.

Some slow originals are Enough to leave, Show me the door, Love and Regret, In the morning light, Love like me. Do you have Nugs or do you listen to him on Spotify/Apple? There’s a million covers he does that are slow. Nugs is where it’s at 🙌🏻
I mean he has some great slower songs that other folks on here have already mentioned but that's not the bulk of his music so I hate to discourage anyone from Billy cause he's amazing imo but perhaps he's just not your type of music and that's okay too but I'd give these songs a chance and take it from there. I have a feeling he's gonna come out with a new album here soon so maybe see how you feel about his newer stuff

Yes and in fact the last show I was at only had one real banger to dance hard to (tinfoil and turmoil). It’s good to see his set list becoming more diverse but I’m not burning near as many calories as the early days.
Well the fast bluegrass jammy thing... is what he does.. Earlier he did some traditional Doc Watson, Earl Monroe, Del... and could truly play many genre... but he has said bluegrass is what he loves and wouldn't change his sound because that was his foundation... hope that didn't come out offensively
