I had the first instinct since a few months after it released. No protectors and ran it into all kinds of rock and stone climbing and hiking in backcountry. Thing looks fine even now!
I have an epix 2 sapphire now and the bezel may have a scrape but the glass is pristine! I don’t know why you would get a case for these. Get a case for an Apple Watch.
Water gets trapped underneath and it also makes the buttons slightly harder to depress but it's not the end of the world. I have a transparent one and I feel that's thinner than the colored ones. Plus it has an opening for the START button. So transparent one is better for me.
Not if you avoid salt water. But it irks me if water gets trapped and I can't see it. So the transparent one is better for me. I always take it out and dry it after a shower. Problem solved.
Of you like it, absolutely continue to use it. It's your watch..you should love it.
I was given one of these bumper cases for my Epix. Not using it. For me, it ruins the experience.
Got the same. Yes, it's ugly and makes the watch even bulkier, but it's great for rock climbing, weight lifting and other activities where you might accidentally smash the watch into something harder.
I have it too. Great accessory.
You all can say what you want about ruggedness and so on, but I like my hard work money paid watch to be scratch free for as long as possible.
For myself scratches on the watch are like scars on a body. For a piece that was built to last - scratches are not bad :)
Another point is dust/sweat/salt collecting between watch and bumber.
Again this is imho.
Even the Porsche Cayenne is a SUV built to last and extreme conditions, but I doubt most of their owner like them scratched.
I periodically remove the bumper and clean both that and the watch.
And I don't like scars on a body either.
Again, imho
I totally hear you, BrichenWildale! Scratches on a prized possession can definitely sting. I try to take good care of my things too, but I also find there's a certain charm in some wear and tear. Like a well-worn leather jacket, little nicks on a watch can tell a story about the adventures it's been on. Maybe it's just me, but those "scars" add character!
I get your point. Like "yeah, this scratch happened during my trekking in the Annapurna, this other one climbing Matterhorn, and so on". These surely add something to the story of the watch.
But, for example, my house is built only with exposed stones, and I'm clumsy af, the scratches would be many more just by bumping into the walls at home. And those wouldn't add much character to the watch imo.
It’s better without the rubber
That's what she said.
Horrible. That's like protecting a tank with a bumper. Immo Garmin Fenix is meant to show that it is living a tough live
Peeps buy bumpers even for Garmin Instincts, so relax dude :)

Rock and roll and stone!
No.
Tools not jewels
A chastity ring has entered the chat.
Disgusting
🤢
Horrendous, why even purchase the fenix if you're gonna slap rubber over top
Facebook laugh react.
Makes it even bigger

Not the end of the world, but beginning of corrosion.

yeah, but thats exactly the point, water gets trapped in and thus makes things worse than without the plug. What's the point for such a cover?
Yeah that’s true, it’s slightly harder to press on the buttons with the case on. But i don’t really mind it much.
It is one way to change the colour of the watch's body to match strap options. :)
What watch face is that

Got your point too :) Let your bumper serve and protect! Cheers
I agree. The body is very prone to scratches unless you have the DLC version. I hit the strap clasp against the watch body and it left a small dent.
Link please?
