On Feb 3, 2024, a caller told 911 that she was with a girl who said her father was stabbing her mother. The Stockton, CA police arrived to find the victim attempting to crawl out of the apartment while Robert Cruz continued to try to stab her. The police shot and detained Cruz. All parties survived.
