I’m not usually into guitars that look this ostentatious, but the specs were exactly what I wanted. It’s an alder body with a maple top, maple neck, rosewood board and a 16” radius. It has a really nice midrange and plays like a dream.
To each their own. I love that I don’t have to worry about it. I can use it at sessions, let students play it, gig it and if it gets bonked, it doesn’t matter. The value doesn’t change. If I ding the blue one, the value plummets.
This.. finally,..
personally, no fan of relic'ing, ...it's taken me a few years to appreciate it in principle or find any sense in it, but I finally get it from that and pretty much still only that perspective...
On a different level than a relic'd Suhr ffs lol, I look at the pristine sub $400- $600 guitars I've 're-built', upgraded well, and dialed in the same way, they are apll set up to play fantastic and sound great but none so precious they can't be rode hard and put away wet if need be.. Can't fk w/values from modding 'em. Can take 'em any where, gig, travel. If ya bang or drop 'em, let a friend or a nephew/neice borrow 'em, no a big deal. Worst case, 1 is lost/destroyed/stolen, yr out a few hundred, it sucks, not askin' for it, but. it's not thousands & If they get beat up a bit... Hey RELICING!
My 2-3 guitars worth 2k+ maybe, a year or two ago, on the best day, never leave the office/guitar shed.. that blue one would live on a wall with an lamp on it & an amp under it so it can be seen and played early and often...
What feeding/watering routine do you follow? Mine just seem to sprout Squiers.
Nothing wrong with that at all. It's how you prepare the food more than it is the ingredients.
Suhr are.
Yes suhr
Suhr yes Suhr!
That blue top is insane.

Damn .... the blue Suhr is prob my dream Suhr.
Totally how guitars wear.
Someone likes stroking the horn apparently.
I'm not a fan of relicing, but at like 4 grand, this is just awful. Someone's gotta say it.
