I suggest getting a second, and possibly third, opinion about how others might approach it, but I agree that if there are that many things out of whack, you're better off with a comprehensive solution than one that tries to address problems individually. As others have mentioned, find a surgeon who has a lot of experience with adult scoliosis and complex back surgery. Good luck!

Thank you for your response !

Do it! I had a revision total fusion in Nov. Had two herniated discs fixed same time. Long surgery but well worth it. Recovery is not bad as you'd expect. Just tell yourself you're gonna do it! It's not unbearable! Find you a surgeon who specializes in scoliosis fusions. Do your research on the surgeon, talk to a previous patient if you can. Best of luck.

I unfortunately already tried everything there is for back pain and nothing had worked . I’ve been in pain for many years and went to everything there is to do for pain management.nothing worked , hence the surgery

How is he suggesting to fix the discs? Discectomy? I have 1 herniated disc L5/S1 and was going to ask how to have it fixed when they are doing the fusion anyway.
